Corinne was a family friend to my parents and recorded the original demo of this song at my old house. I can tell you, she would have been honoured by this rendition, I hope she’s heard it! Bravo IU!!
She inspired IU to take up guitar and music... there's a couple of videos of IU meeting Corinne Bailey Rae when she did a concert in Korea and they sang together "Put Your Records On"... at that time, at about 19 years old, IU had just broken through with her smash hit "Good Day" and apparently Corinne wrote a song for her "4 am" which you can find lyric videos for. Very nice song.
