    How beautiful, I just love her I took care of old actresses at the Beverly Hills Senior Home when I was 18 and they were madly in love with Dorothy. They said she was absolutely gorgeous and extremely talented they also told me that she had beautiful skin and was extremely classy. I never seen women light up so much while talking about another actress or entertainer. She was one of a kind 🌷

    Love this video of Dorothy! She exudes sensuality with her sexy walk, her eyes, and the wind blowing in her hair. I really wish she could have done many more movies...it would be wonderful to see more of her. I also love her outfit in this video. A simple style but very ladylike, and she had a nice body, trim and shapely. One of my favorites from Hollywood's golden era.

    She should have won the Oscar for her performance in Carmen Jones. A family favorite,Dorothy was one of the best actors ever and could have beat many of today's so called stars of any race.

      Racism killed Dorothy Reader book but what about Oprah? What about Halle Berry? What about Jada Pinkett Smith? What about Lola Falana? Blacks it made it to the top and all Fields nowadays so don't act like you are discriminated against it's almost a bonus to be black nowadays

    • @user-et5jy9qs6x
      @user-et5jy9qs6x 4 года назад +5

      zz And how about all the other white mediocre actresses/actors getting put on while more blacks get pushed to the back? It’s a bonus to be black? How about when you’re a darkskin woman and get passed up for roles and watching your roles get handed to your lightskin, white, nonblack peers? Most of the women you are naming are just a few black women who made it in a sea of mediocre talent of their white counterparts. You can barely name any successful young black actresses nowadays. Black Hollywood was much bigger than nowadays even though it was still small.

    Staring Myself-Dorothy Dandridge. The day...lots were going through my mind as I step discernly down the walkway. Feeling the breeze in deep thought. Thinking..taking a break to reflect on my next decision as my career was slowly coming to a halt. Wondering how everyone was fairing as new acts were being recognized. Thinking how to broaden my talents to more risky acting roles, and talking time for self...with hope in plain site.

    In France could swim in any pool she wanted, dine with other people not having to walk through the kitchen to go to her room. Could do it in France, but not in her own country.
    I guarantee you as a guy, and I’m sure most guys would say this, whatever film she is in her scenes are the most replayed scenes in the whole movie. Her scene with James Mason in “the decks ran red” just did me in. “Does it bother you Captain?” It gets me every time. Wow, what a hottie.❤️
