Interesting day for making a Yuri on Ice video when the movie was cancelled today 😅😅😅

After 8 years of waiting, the movie was canceled today. I just cried when I heard the news. This series and the characters gave the fans so much that words cannot describe. I can't get over it, my heart is broken.💔
Fun Fact: This won Anime of the Year in 2017! It's an amazing anime that I've only recently discovered as well. I was a bit disappointed to see there aren't a lot of RUclipsrs that have reacted to this anime so I hope you will consider doing so! It's definitely one of my new favorite animes so I think you would really enjoy it. The skating choreography and animation is great and it has a lot of heart.
This music was used in the olympics as skating routines. I enjoyed the show and the animation of the skating was so well done. Didn’t even know a movie was in the works, too bad about the cancellation. The nice thing about this show it was a great show to binge in one sitting and didn’t leave off as a cliffhanger. (If I remember right, it’s been a while since I watched it.)
Yuri on Ice is my comfort anime. When I am feeling depressed and need something to make me feel better this is what I turn to! Unfortunately very few people have reacted to it. I would love to see that more because it would be like watching it with a friend.
This is one of my favorite openings ever, this came out when Mappa was still relatively unknown and it sort of took the world by storm. The song was even used in the 2018 Olympics during the figure skating event.
Ugh that trailer made me tear up a bit because it was such a good comfort anime. I'm gutted that they've cancelled it.
I watched it as it was airing and it definitely caused a shift in anime. Gotta give it some respect for that, I remember it fondly and even now there isn’t anything similar to it
Yuri on ice is my most re watched anime ever. i watch it every year on new years eve. The opening is changing with the show progresses. The white spaces gets converted to the grandstand of the grand slam final. I say this is the anime that made mappa what it is today. Also its such a great love story. i could go on and on about it.
Yuri on Ice is one of my all-time favorite anime. It's funny, moving and beautiful!

This is one of those anime that I have been watching every year.
During my... not so good moments, it always reminds me to take that first step towards my dreams,
no matter how difficult it is.
And when you take that first step, everything just comes naturally after that 🙏
I'd love to see you watch this anime at some point.
And I would highly recommend watching in dub (nothing wrong with sub), it just hits different.
Every single voice actor in this show is... perfect~

Yuri on Ice is one of those masterpiece anime that stay with you forever.
Yuri on Ice had MORE DVD sales in the first week than any other project made by MAPPA including the more recent projects. It was and till is very popular, but despite this MAPPA has dropped the movie which they announced 8 years ago. Fan and even the voice actors (both Japanese and English casts) are disappointed in this decision.
The opening is one of my favourites... Not only because it's a nice song, but because it just fits the anime sooo well....
I love Yuri on Ice!!! Extremely disappointed in Studio MAPPA for canceling the Yuri on Ice: Ice Adolescence movie.
It was an amazing anime! Not only because of the plot and characters but also because it was a nice and easy introduction to figure skating for many people. I would definitely tune in if you decided to react to the whole anime and post it on YT :)

As people have said, the movie was just cancelled. Yuri on Ice is still MAPPA's top selling and most watched anime, even after almost 8 full years and the production of JJK and Chainsaw Man. It's beloved by professional figure skaters around the world. It genuinely made history back in 2016, and the things I would give to watch it for the first time again. It put MAPPA on the map as an animation studio, quite literally. It won 7 awards at Crunchyroll's Anime Awards, including Anime of the Year. It has an incredible sub and dub cast (Viktor is voiced by Junichi Suwabe, who is Sukuna in JJK and many other amazing characters). Every person who put effort into it seemed to genuinely love the project, from the animators, the writers, and the skaters who choreographed and performed for animation references. The music has been used in the olympics for competition and fun performances. There's no denying the impact it had on the anime world, but somehow it disappeared to some part of the anime community. MAPPA dropping it, I believe, is a mistake, but I do hope the creators are able to get it picked up in another studio if they wish (as at least one of the main writers left MAPPA fairly recently).
This video popped up on my recommended and I'm happy I clicked! Thanks for giving YoI a shot. You're really on the nose, it's an uplifting show but it's not just "feel good" story. I think it has characters show human emotions in a wonderfully normal, realistic way.
Fun thing about the opening, there's more splashes of colour added each episode.
If you do watch this please please watch the sub, if you want to keep the emotional impact. I saw the dub years later and I couldn't believe how goofy it made some of the characters seem. Some dubs are good but this one is not in my opinion.
I've watched it a couple of times, it's pretty fun! But then I do love ice skating in real life too :)

The opening changes between ep 1 and the end. It becomes more colorful and dynamic as the characters cone into themselves
the whole serie deserve more visibility, alas with the cancel of the movie, all we can do now is enjoy the little we have ....
yuri on ice deserve it.

Yuri on Ice is such a fantastic show. It's a shame that MAPPA shelved it the way they did only to cancel the movie. It's still one of my favorites years later. The music, the animation, the characters, and the story itself are just all so wonderful. A lot of people brush this one off but it truly is a great show that deserved more than studio MAPPA was willing to give it after that first season was so amazing and did so well.
I speak Spanish and I watch this show in Japanese, hearing the voices in English is so weird 😂
I still watch it at least one every year during the Grand Prix season and I just came out of a Yuri!! On Ice Marathon after the devastating news that the movie we've all been waiting for "Ice Adolescence" has been cancelled ;^;

I was so obsessed with this anime, I can't say how many times I watched it. It's only a season if you decide to watch it, but please, for the love of god, watch the Sub. The Dub is just so cringe, imo.
