If I got items from thrift, I would wash it again regardless. Save yourself, time, effort and money and don't wash them (better they have tags on). They are still a bargain at $20 for 10 or $15 for 10. ❤❤❤ Ps you will be amazed at how many younger people buy older items and style it up or upcycle them!
@@TheCheapChick I agree the stuff that still had tags on probably could have just for been febrezed people are mostly likely going to wash them before they wear them anyway. But I would probably wash them all too tho😂
@@TheCheapChick Get a really good steamer - super cheap online - it sanitizes the garments so you don't need to wash. Plus, most people are sensitive to the deterrent perfumes. Plus, steaming is super fast.
Awesome haul! Just to help, so you don't have to re-sort the sizes, as you're going through the box you could throw each item into pre-set piles starting at x-small and up to the highest sizes. At least that way when they go in the wash they're already sorted. 💙
Melissa I'm sure so many people have said this but getting a steamer is much better than washing and drying all of These Clothe's number one you're gonna sanitize it number 2 it'll save on the the clothing breakdown number 3 it's a lot faster and number 4 the wrinkles will come out instead of giving you more by putting in the washer dryer. That being said this was really fun and so much clothing so cool I'll be really interested when everything comes out how many items of each size you wound up with with. For the number sizing it's basically size 4/6 S, 8/10 M, 12/14 L, 16/18 XL.. O usually means one size fits most. 1 is 1x, 2 is 2x & 3 is 3x.. but not always. Line up shoulder edge to shoulder edge of known sizes to double check. Good luck and keep these wonderful videos coming
😁I loved this video Melissa😍...You hit a gold mine, but I understand the "getting them ready" to sell is going to take time and effort and 🤑. I know you can do what ever you want, and I can not wait to find out. Thank you so much putting a smile on my face🤩
I'm not sure if it was mentioned or not but... brands like Chico's have "boutique" sizes, so you will have to look up what 1, 2, 3 etc mean in normal sizes. Torrid, a plus sized brand of Hot Topic also uses the same kind of sizing.
You got some really cute items! You are a true inspiration! I recently started Poshmark and posting a lot of clothing after watching your videos. You have many great things in your store! Thank you for inspiring all of us..
Great buy!!! I would wash and just let dry like 5 min and take out and hang on hangars!! Use Gain it has a long lasting good smell!! Then divide out how your going to sell. My suggestion is Posh Mark!! That Ralph Lauren Shirt in the beginning I have that and paid $89.00. I think that was on sale!! Be smart and make lots of money!!!!!! Thanks for making me smile today!!!!!😊
Great box. You will have to remove all the tags if you are gonna launder all of them, because tags will turn to mush. If you had a steamer you could sanitize them without removing tags. Walmart sells several different types. I bought mine off fb market place.
Lucky, that reminds me of the time I was looking to buy jeans for my son at Christmas time. I grabbed a nice pair of jeans and saw it said LUCKY in the fly area. I told my husband I refused to buy pants, that whenever he took them off was because he was LUCKY!
Melissa, Save yourself the time of washing everything and get a fabric sanitizer Tide and Febreze sell one. So much quicker items can keep tags and you’ll know they were sanitized. Loving the video content 🥰
Chico's 2 is usually about a large (size 12). You can find their sizing chart and how their clothes run on their site. Ann Taylor is a good brand, as well. Worthington is a JCPenney brand. Talbot's is a good brand and can be pricey. New Direction I've seen at Belk. Ana is a brand from JCPenney, as well.
Melissa I cant believe the work that you take on, but for us (at least myself), it makes for great videos!!!! This is just an experience I had, and I’m sure that others have experienced it also. At least a year ago or two, I went to a new consignment store in my town. I looked around a little bit, and remembering that I had a lot of clothes that I no longer wanted for a few reasons,I went to the counter to look into possibly bringing some there. I’m not a “name brand” (except I do like Chanel, but I don’t expect to own any). Yes there is a point in this comment. So back to the counter experience. I wasn’t dressed like money but I wasn’t dressed in rags. So I asked the girl about bringing in my clothes. She looked at me and said “well we don’t take Walmart or Target items”. I felt like I did in High School, when my friends said that they had to drop me because I wore clothes from Kmart. I’m not complaining or looking for sympathy. I have never again stepped foot in that store . Sorry for the lengthy comment
Alfani, Charter Club, Karen Scott, and a couple more that I forgot already (LOL) are from Macy's. I used to work there and recognized the names. You definitely got a great deal!
Wow. I have a lot of those brands in my closet. I need an XL though. When Goodwill gets too many donations, all that stuff goes to the Goodwill Bins. Clothing (and shoes/purses/undies/sweaters, coats) are piled in big bins and sell for an average of $1.50 per pound. I think Illinois has no bins, but Indiana has three.
Can't wait for the rest of the box. Some of the tops were really cute, but a nice variety. Paco was so cute all you could see were his ears, not interested in the box , no food lol. Wish we could meet in person.
Huge haul! Wow! Excellent purchase! I love watching this fun haul! Just wondering if some clothes are clean only what will you do? I guess maybe hand wash? Most look machine washable thank heavens! I’m sure you’ll make a decent profit, especially if you plan on doing Posh mystery boxes or size lots, people seem to buying more and more online nowadays, gas prices are crazy! Fingers crossed you make a very nice profit Melissa 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Wow, what a load of shirts. I watch you on the TV and I can't comment. I'm on the PC now. I'm in the same city as you, but in a wheelchair and can't get out much. Do you ever mention which Flea Markets you usually set up at and when? If my husband is off, I can go out in the wheelchair and shop. Please keep the videos coming. I LOVE them.
@Nana of 5 I am also wheelchair bound. Thankful for my husband helping me to get out the house and navigating my wheelchair around. I am so grateful for him as it’s really difficult to do myself these days. I wish you the veryp best. 😊
If you ever have a crazy box this size again, I recommend rolling the box on all sides as you go... that way, you might not have to tug as hard to get them all out 😂 great haul tho! I'd wear a lot of them, if they'd fit lol 😆😉
Your Poshmark sales are going to be sky rocketing with this amount of clothes you just got 😅👏🏼👏🏼 between that and the flea market you’ll definitely make profit!

OMG! That is a lot of tops. So many pretty ones too. My fave top was the reddish purple one with the black panthers/cats. I wish I could afford to buy a flat and sell online.
You got some nice shirts! We use to have these yellow containers to put unwanted clothes. But no more. Someone said they made it look like we were giving to charity when it was actually a company that bundles and sells clothes to many different places. They even charged charity’s to buy a bundle. Not sure if it was all true.
You made me do it! lol.. I went and purchased a micro bale of blouses today.. Do I have room for it all? HMM no? Do I have time to sort it all? NOPE! But I am going to enjoy it, no matter how long it takes to sort it and get it posted to my Posh Closet.. As for the where I will store it? I think I might just toss a big blanket over it and tell my husband I bought a new sofa :) Thank you for the fun and keeping your fans alive with fun..

Those large khaki shorts look like kids school uniform shorts. Make sure you charge enough to get your money back plus all the work you have to put in plus the fees that Poshmark are going to charge. Just because we know you got a deal doesn’t mean you need to practically be giving stuff away. 💜💜💜💜
Wow lots of tops...and lots of really nice ones. But I'm a dress gal. So don't wear many tops. Just the button down, for under sleeve less dresses or as a jacket. If tops are big enough I can wear them as nighties. Good luck dear.💜 making mystery boxes.
GIRL!!! Take those beige shorts out of the pile! Those are GOOD $$$! Chicos sizing is smart and what truly sets them apart. Sizing is 00-4 and includes half sizes 00 being XS or 2 in US sizes all the way to 4 being XXL or 20. I'm sure you can figure out the rest. Muuaaahhhh!😻luv ya!
Wow such a great deal for that many items. You should make your money back plus profit too, even if you donate some of them. You can try Dawn Dishwashing detergent to remove stains, pour on stains and let soap sink in for bit before washing, it will even remove set in stains most of the time. Thanks for all you do for us!!
Maybe you could save some time when you put out tubs for different sizes. 🤔 So you could throw the cloth already in the right pile for later to pack and ship. Love your videos 📹 ❤️ Greetings from Germany 🙂

Chicos has its own sizing, so you need to know that. I think you should 1st go into each brand’s sizing, because not being sure of the exact size isn’t going to help you sell them and you don’t want any complaints or people asking to return things.

Oh I'm not ironing. Lol. I don't iron my own stuff.
