its okay, shaman is very useful at many bosses.
but make sure u doing reso shaman and make LR aw shaman

It's been so long since I've played this game long ago. I want to restart from the very beginning.
What do you recommend for beginners (even though I'm a returning player) to do?

This is a very good time to play again, because there is a campaign for new players.
I suggest what you do is push your main quest until chapter 90, then level up until you max all your R2 on the Foutain of Recovery map.
Once you have maxed all your R2 jobs, you can take the Akashic Weapon quest and continue to the R3 job you like.
after that you can watch the tutorial on how to make an Ousia weapon and you will become OP.
I've made content on how to become OP/maximize your newbie buff in 1 month ^^

Ah, is it F2P friendly though? Or is it P2W? It's okay anyway because I like the partner system. XD

if you want to play again it would be great if you create a new account even though it will be a little troublesome but this event is really worth it ^^.
