On the contrary naku second half ba nacchindi. There is something magical about routing an underdog hero. It shows to say different people have different taste. Good movie overall.
The tendency you’re describing, where people deliberately prefer things that are less popular or go against mainstream preferences, is often associated with the psychological concept of "need for uniqueness." This is a personality trait where individuals strive to distinguish themselves from others, often by embracing uncommon, unpopular, or unconventional preferences. They derive a sense of identity, self-esteem, or validation from being different. Psychological Factors and Terms: 1. Need for Uniqueness: People with a high need for uniqueness often seek out things that are uncommon or non-conformist, finding personal value in being different from the masses. This trait can be linked to the desire for autonomy, self-expression, or the avoidance of conforming to societal norms. 2. Countercultural or Anti-Conformity: Some people intentionally reject what is popular or mainstream as a way to express their independence or rebellion against societal expectations. 3. Hipster Effect: While this isn't a psychological disorder, the term "hipster" has been used to describe individuals who pride themselves on liking things that are niche, obscure, or less liked by the general public. Hipsters often seek out music, fashion, art, or hobbies that are off the beaten path. 4. Reactance Theory: This theory suggests that when individuals perceive their freedom of choice is being threatened (like when everyone else likes something), they may react by choosing the opposite to restore their sense of freedom. In this context, they might deliberately reject mainstream preferences to maintain their autonomy. 5. Snob Appeal: In some cases, individuals may deliberately favor things that are rare or inaccessible because it gives them a feeling of exclusivity or superiority over others. Is There a Syndrome or Disorder? There isn't a specific clinical syndrome or mental health disorder directly linked to this mindset. However, this behavior could be part of broader personality traits, such as individualism, non-conformity, or narcissism, in extreme cases where the desire to be unique becomes obsessive or alienating. In everyday terms, these people are often referred to as non-conformists, iconoclasts, contrarians, or sometimes hipsters, depending on the context. It is generally not considered a psychological issue unless it becomes extreme or causes problems in social or personal functioning.
i actually loved the movie. inko 2-3 times chuseyachu. 1st half full enjoy chesam sandhya 35 went into full rampage mode during ayudha pooja until the interval. 2nd half baledhu ante low expectations tho ellinam but to my surprise it wasnt bad. chaltha. it has its moments. especially towards the climax. ah cliffhanger okkati sarigga rasunte bagubdedi. this could have been a standalone film.

Glad you liked it, I kind of felt the opposite Despite hints of intriguing ideas, Koratala's vision fails to translate on screen. The film feels like a rehashed version of Koratala Siva's previous works, with a different setting but same tired formula. The direction lacks spark and energy, making it difficult to connect with the characters. Notably, even prominent characters' names are hard to recall. hated the naming of four villages "toorpu, padamara, utthara, dakshinam". So unoriginal. Janhvi Kapoor's role is particularly perplexing, with a minuscule 5-minute screen presence (excluding songs). Her character's purpose is unclear, and she disappears before making any impact. still do not understand why there is a necessity for a love track. The women of this film are treated horribly. This "fridging" trope needs to die. It is a very lazy way to invoke emotions. Koratala Siva's obsession with the 'son-takes-over-father's-mission' trope (seen in Mirchi and Srimanthudu) grows tiresome. This film's narrative doesn't warrant a sequel; trimming unnecessary scenes (like Janhvi's) would have made for a tighter, single installment. Overall, found it quite disappointing despite going into the hall with low expectations.
Great video Boys! 🎉 Apart from all the points you guys mentioned, in my opinion, all the negative characters in the movie were damn good and watchable! The anger these characters carried over generations felt extremely justified.
My only doubt throughout the movie పక్కన ఉన్నవాడు ఎదవ అని తెలిసినప్పుడు ఆ ఒక్కడినీ చంపేస్తే సరిపోతుంది కదా.. everyone else will change no // ఇంకెందుకు ఈ డిస్కషన్ ?? Also, in the climax, (when Prakash Raj reveals the truth), the face of Devara's wife doesn't look natural. it may be a lighting issue or some vfx mishap, but it appears as if she is wearing a mask.
