I should use some help with my tactics, my 4-3-3 should transform into a 3-4-3 in possession, with a fullback moving inside, the defensive midfielder staying back, and central midfielders pushing up to form a 3-2-5. However, my midfielders aren't advancing enough, so my attack struggles against teams with 4-5 defenders because I'm only attacking with 3 instead of 5
What roles do you have the CMs on?
@@тнєки-л8ь I tried box to box and creative, but I think that the solution is to create another tactic with an offensive midfielders and wide wingers, I'm just try this and it works better for me, and also I start using the right pad button for more offense
Maybe have one of you're midfielders be more attacking like an advanced playmaker if that is a player role

I've noticed u cant change players to certain positions for example I couldn't covert ampadu to a cdm. Also u can't move players around the pitch like fc 24
@Philrm96 I've also noticed this, and I think it's a bug in the system. Especially if the player has the position as a 2md or 3rd position already. As for not being able to move players around, it makes perfect sense as the player movement on the pitch is grid locked.
@BromSquadGaming don't know if you have noticed but it also doesn't have player work rates on it anymore. For example medium attack work rate

@rkb929 I do a little bit, but I've just referred to the normal version of setting my starters on 3 bars and my bench to 2 bars of training. The automated one allows for the players to enter training sessions as soon as they drop below a certain level or rest as soon as they exceed a certain level. This is just my understanding of it all.

I would like to use a 3-4-2-1 but apparently the two central midfielders are CMs not DMs, although I would like to use a DM Deep-Lying Playmaker on Roaming because he is far superior to the CM Deep-Lying Playmaker on Defend imo.
Can I still choose a random formation and then use Square on the Controller to manually move them around changing a CM to a DM or a LW to a LM? Or are the formations and the positions fixed?

@@BromSquadGaming I just got EA Play for a month to try the game for 10 hours so i figured that out myself yesterday. But thanks for the reply anyway.
For me, the fixed positions are a reason to not buy the game. Asymmetrical formations are hard to achieve without this feature. In general the new tactical system has more limitations than the one we had in the previous games.
Ballside overloads are almost impossible to achieve without custom offensive width and Free Roam player instructions.
The fact that your basic formation is your defensive formation makes back three systems borderline unusable, because of all the space left on the flanks. Previously I was able to play with a back three system and utilize player instructions to make sure that its a back 5 or even a back 4 out of possession.
In general, the new system is very simplified taking away creativity and individuality from the player.
Really disappointing imo.

There is one problem with these new tactics. They're only good in career mode. Not in Seasons or UT. For example in both Seasons and UT there is no Pressing tactical option. Not to mention for the Barcelona's new default formation Pedri isn't even playing in "his" position so he doesn't have the ability to have the same instructions. Not to mention I am "forced" to play my players in their ++ or + positions so they are used to their max. Maybe in Career mode these tactics are good but in online modes they are highly limiting.

How much it change when you select to "attack or defend" on the right pad button?
It changes quite a lot. The players tend to make more runs into the space and be more direct with their attacking play. When set to defend, the CBs will not roam forward, and I have noticed the midfield are more defensively aware.

@@blaugranaftbl that’s the thing bro idk which one to use. typically we’d use the 3-4-3 one right? The diamond formation but it isn’t in the game anymore💔 so it’s hard to recreate the diamond midfield with an attack of 3 along with it. I will probably go deep into every formation to figure it out.

@@ty.shota23 my wingers only get back when I have them as defensive wide midfielders (means they don’t go up high enough when attacking) and attacking mids stay high up when defending
