    Congratulations! Just subscribe to your channel. I have a ‘22 model just coming up on one year. 14,000 miles. Great bike! No issues.
    Since yours is a ‘21, if you haven’t already, make sure you have all the updates, BCM/ECM, and there’s a recent update for your TFT.
    I put my bike through its paces. I mainly write it as a sport touring bike, but I’ve done some off-road, BDR, and take it to cornering clinics, precision maneuvering, high-speed braking, clinics, etc. Absolutely awesome bike!

      Thank you! It’s a great bike and I’m loving it so far! I do need to take it in and get it updated because it’s been a while. I’m planing some BDR trips when the season comes around, can’t wait!

    I bought one new in 2022. I LOVED it! Now, it was my “second bike” because my main ride was something my wife and I can take long trips on. I was in 14 states in 2023. She was with me in 8 of those states. When you do a 10 day riding trip with your wife, packing is a challenge. And, she prefers the seat and tour pack on a Harley Ultra Limited. Anyway, long story short, I wound up selling my Pan America after a few months because I financially needed to get back down to one bike. But, the bike itself is AMAZING! And, If I can ever afford 2 bikes again, that’s the one I’ll get.

      That’s awesome! Traveling around the country with a significant other sounds like the dream to me. I just need to find me a wife, that’s the hard part haha. But I’m loving the Pan American, can’t wait to take it across the country!

    I ride a 2011 HD Road King Classic and a 2017 Honda Africa Twin Adventure. Two completely different bikes but my heart is with the ADV bike. You are going to enjoy the Harley. It’s a very nice bike.

    I commend you for doing your own thing. You want to mix some off-road into your adventure, seems like you picked a winner. Hope you have some trail experience, it's quite different. I bought a Scout Bobber in July and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. But . . . Just joined a club and want to trade up in size for longer trips. I'll keep watching, you just be safe Bro !

      Thank you I appreciate it! I still love the scout and everything Indian is doing but just needed more versatility. I had a dirt bike growing up so I’ve ridden off road quite a bit but this bike is far from a dirt bike haha so I might be in for it. Thanks again ,ride safe!

    Fantastic choice if you are after an all roads sports tourer. I have had a 2022 Special since March 2023, I love it. It is capable to do off road track if you fit 50/50 tyres and when you drop it, the crash bars are very good at saving the tank, but you need the upgraded engine guard and real bark busters, and most likely a side stand pad and switch protector.

    • @cruisingwithkyle
      @cruisingwithkyle 6 месяцев назад

      Yeah I’m loving it! Already ordered some parts to make it more off road capable. Bark busters and a skid plate were a must after my first off roading attempt haha.

    I traded in my Triumph Rocket 3 for a 2023 Pan American Special. The Rocket was fun but I only put 1700 miles on it in one year, the PA is more versatile - 1700 miles in first 2 months. Can't wait until spring for a long trip.

      I was really considering buying a new Triumph Rocket 3 R but after doing lots of research lots of guy had rear brake fade problems. Rear tires only last about 5-6,000 miles and the engine just inhales gas so your mpg is 30-33. Valve adjustment is needed at 40,000 miles.

      I've owned both. Sold my BMW to buy the Pan Am and have not been disappointed. BMW has some annoying traits that you did not hit on which have plagued the bike for years. Overall though, I thought your review was well done. The Pan Am is not perfect but neither was the BMW. I'm at 7500 miles now with zero issues. Overall what has impressed me most about the Pan Am is its ability to chew up miles without effort. What impressed me the least about the Pan Am and something Harley really needs to address is the size and placement of the rear tail light. Small and hard to see with full bags on the bike. Borderline dangerous. I rigged aftermarket LED's on my tail box to help with that. Otherwise, good scoot.

      @greenrush4313 yeah I’ve been looking into the tail lights and wanting to do something with that. I would say the windshield also is one of my top complaints but I know they’ve addressed that in the newer models.

    If it's a 2022 or newer you should get the quick shifter, its a game changer.

      @cruisingwithkyle I think that the FTR would make a great ADV machine with longer legs, taller wider handlebars, high pipe, hard bags and tuned for more low end grunt.
      And I am a 2 year owner of a 2022 Pan America Special that I have put 22,000 fun filled miles on.

    • @cruisingwithkyle
      @cruisingwithkyle 7 месяцев назад

      @paulwojnar2291 yeah the FTR Rally is almost an adventure bike just not quite there but it’s definitely a good platform to build off of. So far I’m loving the Pan America really looking forward to riding some back roads and of the pavement some.
