Welp! Just won my first match with this deck (slightly altered by two cards). Fun stuff! Glad I found your channel as I am new to MTG Arena and haven’t played Magic since 2002. Thanks for the great decks!
24:30 This deck is the old Cauldron Combo deck, where you set up the cauldron so that any of the creature out can tap and untap for infinite mana. Only problem is, that deck finishes opponents off by using the hellkite's 1red 1generic mana ability for 1 dmg. But since that deck usually uses only 1 copy, and you took it with the bat, and that deck usualy runs no removal or bounce, so he basically bricked turn 2.
Oh boy. Tried this one quickly and got a nice 10-0 streak in play queue until an opp got very lucky and snatched a butt-clenching win 😁 Very nasty deck, fast and strong 😁 Boosting life gainers through Umezawa and Pampa Cowboy is hilarious, too. And here I thought you peaked with the Coyote deck!
@@PitMaster-x1p I'm usually and advocate of "can't wait for rotation to happen" but man I'll miss Umezawa and its versatility.. hopefully we get something equally good to replace it :)
And another quick 5-0 today. I'd rate this one 9.5/10 as it's hella fun to play, opp's sometimes don't realize what's happening before it's too late lol. 4 of those matches were on the draw, too 😁
Crafted this deck and i'm on the lose-streak of my life. Land screwed almost every second game, and every other game I have to mulligan twice to have a normal ratio. It just won't work. I hate the land system so much.
Tough luck :/ I have the reverse experience, I somtimes get mana screwed no matter what deck I'm using, but it didn't happen with this one after 16 games so far. And I'm missing 2 llanowar lands and the NEO ones.
What you say about the skeleton 'package' in the deck tech is so true, I usually add 2 cases. Opportunity to try skeleton package with bronco combo and beseech the mirror? I need this tested PLEASE
I mean as noted in the video, you need rare lands to play any dual color aggro deck and they are widely applicable. But by all means play with lifegains and crime lands (which are commons), will just hurt consistency a bit. And if you look on my page have plenty of no rares mono colors too :)
True - but as I noted in video rare lands are needed for any dual color aggro deck and can be used in many shells. And still playable with less rare lands, just less consistent :)
Honestly not sure there is a clear upgrade, since the cards used are probably the best for the slots. But worth some testing - for example, the 3/4 Merfolk that makes maps could potentially be nice, since maps can let you descend to get back Corpses :)
Bro I mean no disrespect but why are you so persistent regarding this Slogurk deck? It’s a 3 mana 3/3 that gets a 1/1 counter whenever a land enters the graveyard, can remove three counters to bounce, and returns 3 lands when it leaves the BF. Its an interesting card with a lot of abilities but in todays meta I don’t think it’s going it take you very far and probably requires a certain sequence of cards to even pull off properly, which IMO isn’t really Mikes style of deck (he’s more low to the ground aggro budget friendly) - just curious if you have some build that working? I feel like I’ve seen the card once in my hundreds of games…

Sweet simple but effective deck. Umezawa is also good sometimes in combo with cut down.

I mean I got a qualifier token I think. I have bunch of them though :). I guess I should use them sometime!
