Andre Braugher was a comedic genius. My condolences to his loved ones.
Ironic you say that because Andre Braugher has said before that he didn’t feel like a comedy actor even when on B99 because everyone around him was able to just toss these quick zingers out on the fly. I’m pretty sure he actually would have loved that you thought that about him.

Was he, or did you just enjoy the words that were written by script writers? I loved his character, but you saying that, is just blowing smoke up his ass. You can say he was a great person, if indeed he was, and you knew that, but over complimenting just sounds like a reach.
@timothygraham4304 the script is only part of the formula, his delivery in B99 was superb.

Weird, I just started watching Brooklyn 99 yesterday
Some deaths hit me harder than others. I went to my favorite coffee shop today and there are two men in their 50’s who own it, along with lots of college students who work there, and I was expecting to see both of those guys greet me.. and off to the side I saw a “RIP Dave” book with his picture huge on it, open for people to sign. I was legit in SHOCK. It says he died December 2023 and I also feel guilty that I didn’t notice for this long. Some part of me is confused and still thinking he’ll be able to READ whatever note I leave for him. HOLY sh*t. I can’t believe you’ll just be working at a coffee ship one day, and not alive the next
I know he was in his 50’s but I feel like he had so much potential to do more with his life (he was a very creative man) and this was just a temporary, in-between job. Anyways, this is also how I felt about Andre Brauer
God how much I would love it if she actually joined SNL. Even though it would be a sideways move career-wise but hey.

Also Andre was one of the best straight (but gay) men in a comedy show on Brooklyn 99. To keep a serious straight face while delivering those lines takes talent. ❤

I feel it's weird that people would blame the studio audience for not laughing enough. I love Seth but I don't think the audience owes him anything if they don't want to laugh.
I just think if people online appreciated it better than the studio audience, it's most likely there is some sort of issue (like people in the comments said before, microphone quality/too little audience members etc), rather than the audience having worse taste.
