I am so stoked about april 2017, I have been doing nothing but eating, sleeping and dreaming of the PCT. I have the bug for my first time trying it. I already have all my gear and cant wait. Your video and many more i watched are giving me such hope. I can and will do it. Im 53 and overweight and hooked. There is no stopping me. Thank you for the video so much.
I've seen your videos (all of them) about half a dozen times now, and each time I am more inspire. I grew up with a powerful love for backpacking and hiking, but I slowly lost my way once adulthood kicked in (responsibility). As i watch your videos and hear your testimony, I am hit with a wave of emotions that is as clear as cool summer's breezes. I must get back out on the trails and find my way back home. Thank you sir, and I hope to see you on the trails. FYI - I'll be hiking the JMT summer of 2016!
I just wanted to say that I watched this video a year ago, started listening to Allen's Music, And had to find it again to say thank you. I have listen to him ever since and I do love his music. Thank you.
I wish I had known about the PCT when I was younger. I'm hitting 40 soon and have so many responsibilities, kids, husband, mortgage, job. I love my life, but wish I had done this before I got knee deep in responsibilities. I plan to take this on when my children are grown up and out of the house. Hell, maybe I can get one of them to do it with me. :) It's a dream. Also, I enjoyed your documentary very much! It's nice to get away from the feckin' office job for a bit. Thankfully I have my own little office and a lenient IT guy. :D Love from Texas.
Thanks for watching and the above compliments for Allan's music. Unfortunately, the trail lacks a lot of middle aged people like you and I due to the exact circumstances you described. It has a ton of young college age kids and retired type people who are 55 and older. Everyone else between 25 and 50 are usually still building their life up and can't make the time to do these sorts of trails, which is a shame. I'm 41, but started hiking when I was 32. Fortunately for me, I have my own business and a wife who understands my backpacking passion, so I get to experience about 3 to 4 one week long treks a year on average. I can't thru-hike the entire PCT at this point in my life for the same reasons as you, but do plan to when the kids are older as well. Until then, little steps at a time.
Imagine you are 65 in your rocking chair... will you still wish you had done this 'when you were younger? Think not about what holds you back but what you need to arrange to make it possible. Even breaking it down to one chunk every year. All is possible😊
Melissa I know you posted this comment two years ago, but if you get this my comment, check out the FOUR HOUR WORK WEEK, BY Timothy Ferriss amazing book. Consider it a dare. I freaking dare you to. Lol. This book has changed my life. It's also on audible, and was actually on RUclips for a while. I'm a Christian and so you know how I feel about the Bible, and next to the bible this is the best book on the planet. I'm 47 years old have six kids and six grandkids. We travel and do more now as a family than we ever did before. Going to Belize at the end of this month, Costa Rica in June and possibly the pct horesback next spring as a family. Good luck I hope it helps.
great, great, great! I'm a Spanish hiker and I usually go alone to the mountain, as I am a beginner spending the night in the outdoors, the videos of thru hikers helps me to get some kind of experience and advices that otherwise I can't obtain. Since I learned of the existence of the PCT in the USA I have seen many videos on it and yours is one of my favorites, congratulations. May be one day I could be there... may be...! Nice job!
John...thank you for this glorious, artistic, and heartfelt tribute to the PCT and the whole hiking experience of appreciating relationship through nature with people. Because of your encouraging vids, I am finally going to at least do something outside over night, out west, in the mountains, this year.
It's now 2:16 AM and I just finished watching this epic and inspiring documentary. I can only imagine "the feels" at the end of your journey or on your way home. However the friendships, bars being surpassed, memories and spectacular views are all worth it!
What an amazing video...as usual I felt if I was there. What can you say, words just don't cut it. When I watch your film and listen to the music it makes my soul smile. Thanks John..
Terry Hall Thanks so much. I always say the background music has a lot to do with setting the mood when watching a film. Allan deserves most of the credit for writing awesome music that seemed to work perfect for this video.
Hi John, just watched this amazing video of yours about the PCT. I just have to admit I am in tears. Your video is a masterpiece, thanks to much. I fell in love with the PCT last year and have watched a lot of PCT videos and yours just takes the cake. I decided to section hike the PCT because there is a limited amount of time I can be away from my work and family. I am just about finishing hiking to the 250 highest peaks in Iceland(6 left) and it has taken me 11 years to finish that. Therefore I would like to have the trail name "high peaks"(I don't know if you can pick it yourself). After your video I am even more determined to finish the PCT and in the future(when I get old enough, I will through hike it) Lots of respect John Olli Thorsson
Thanks so much Olli. You can't give yourself a trail name, it has to be given to you... hahaha. Congrats on all the high peaks in Iceland. Hope you get to experience the PCT someday, my plan is to thru-hike the entire trail as well.
John just spent my night watching your doc. What a journey. Just wanted to say thank you for making what would normally be a "plain jane" Thursday night into one I will remember for a while. Just a wonderful film. Major props brother!
Just watched again for the third time. You make me want to hike the trail. Thanks for introducing me to Allan's Music. I listen to it often. Thank you.
This has been the only movie I've seen where someone was section hiking the PCT. Great movie and soundtrack thanks to your beloved friend. This totally made me cry, especially the loss of loved ones that were documented.
Have to say my friend, you docu is epic! I start in 6 days! You coming to kickoff? If so come say hi at the ZPacks setup. I'll be there all kickoff. If not mad props my friend! Red Beard
Will Wood Unfortunately I won't be making kickoff this year. I'll be hiking in Grand Canyon... that's the only thing that would keep me away. ;) Thanks for watching and have awesome ride!
John Amorosano Whoa.... the east and the west coast guys know eachother? awesome... I was just at havasupai in the grand canyon 2 weeks ago. Its awesome at this time of year! Have fun!
Ah maan top film. Just watched it with my brother here in Hereford England. What a wonderful mix of stories all entwined together. Nothing separate about it..total union on the trail with people and nature. All the very best. Mark & Paul.
WyeExplorer Thanks... yeah it was really cool to be able to hook up with people I'd met in various parts of the trail for the finale. PCT hikers are some of the most coolest people.
Yes John...we commented that one of the reasons we go out is to meet up with people we resonate with. You know on an emotional, intellectual, natural and human level. The outdoors seems to attract some of the best. Really did get involved with the documentary. Look forward to more of your adventures. ATB from England.
John just watched this again. Hands down the best. Loved it. I'm with slo mo now and his story.....Sadly my dear twin Paul who I watched this with last time died in November. He will be in every step I take and in every breath I breathe. (We had been on a long road together - so I resonate with the PCT and your experience). Love to slo mo and your good self. Hike on buddy - keep the big life going. Mark.
One of my favorite videos about the PCT. Love the music from Allan and the story. High qualitiy content like this should be visible directly on RUclips.com, not the greedy click-me crap they show all the time.
The mark of a great film/video - when you keep back to it over & over! Yup, stuck in my office life, but I get a little back country retreat w/ this film -- thanks again, John!
that feeling at 7:20 was amazing, so many fun spirited souls embarking on an unforgettable 6 month or so epic journey from one side of the country to the other....(chills)
Absolutely great film. The photography, personalities and dialog all weave together wonderfully. Your own self admissions and descriptors of your emotional ups and downs really make this a film, a testament to life on the trail.
+Wayne Richard Thanks for the awesome compliments. Yeah, the PCT has the potential to bring out every emotion that's inside of you. It really did for me and I wanted to share the experience, good and bad, with everyone.
I love it, how can anyone who watches this not want a piece of the PCT. If only it was in the UK, I doubt I would ever leave it. Well done John, a job well done & a lesson learnt!!
i just arrived from 4 months backpacking in se asia. being home gives me itchy feet again so i was looking for new challenges and i come across this clip. AMAZING SIR. i was left with my mouth wide open. thank you
+FujinBeatz That's awesome. Hope you get the chance to experience this trail. You should definitely get those feet looked at, LOL. Or, just simply start another hike. Thanks for watching.
Landscapes, adventures, fun, pain and so many characters. I was missing sun myself here at home seeing you guys hiking Washington section in rain. Haaa. This is the best PCT adventure in youtube.
Your video's and the Music are the best and I enjoy them so much. Like most people I will only see the PCT though your eyes and for that I thank you very much. I live in Arkansas and because of you and your productions I now have the dream of hiking what we have before my time passes. Thank you John , God bless your family for allowing you to do such great productions and please keep up the good work.
Unbelievable video dude. I'm just getting into hiking at 48 yrs old. My Dad was a part time guide on the Appalachian Trail here in NJ. Your video brought back childhood memories. You are truly a blessed man!
Wow! Not sure how I missed this gem of a video by you. Another great job in producing it... The scenery, the passion for outdoor adventure, the people, the memories, the highs & lows, the sunsets, that is why we hike/backpack! Thx for taking us on another great adventure!!!
This was seriously one of the most heartfelt pieces of art I've had the pleasure of viewing. Congratulations on your success and peace and good spirits to you brother on all your future adventures!
John, "Can't hike 55" - after watching the entire video, i sit here with so much in my heart, and in my mind... the crazy thing is, I'm lost for words. Not easy for me... I had spent much of my younger years in the back country, backpacking the sierra's, but usually alone, or with my dog. I attempted on many occasions to recruit hikers, but to no avail... I guess what i really wanted to say was, Thanks for bringing back some memories. The music wasn't my first choice, but after the documentary made some headway, the music found it's way into my heart, just like you and all of the other hikers. I long for another such trip with others in my life, rekindling that magic that seems to reappear once you take that first step from road to rocks. And hey, who knows maybe we'll meet up at some point along the way and share some love for this part of life that beckons our return. Cheers!
+Todd Guidi That makes me feel good knowing this made you want to get back out there. I love backpacking, but I think it's so much more enjoyable when there's someone with you to share the experiences and scenery with. Good luck on your future treks.
Fantastic documentary! It's rare for me to be captured by a video this long for the whole time through but this was...just on point. I loved how you showed the different people, the good times, the bad times, the timelapses, photos and general scenery, your thoughts and feelings. The music was very fitting as well. Great songs, rest in piece Allan.
Thank you so much. Happy that I could capture your attention for the whole thing. Allan's song definitely fit into hiking videos like a glove. I only wish he could have seen this before he passed.
Thanks so much for making this heartfelt and very personal film on the PCT. The scenery was stunning and I got a sense of how much the camaraderie and friendships made are part of the experience. This makes the PCT very enticing although still daunting.
Also, I couldn't believe how appropriate your friend's music was to the footage. It's almost as if he composed it just for this film. What a beautiful tribute to your friend to share his music this way.
Thanks Mimi. Yes, you nailed it... one of the most important things about hiking the PCT is the friendships that are made. I wish Allan could have seen this film, his music does fit pretty good with hiking footage. I remember him writing some of these songs right around the time we graduated from high school and I never would have guessed I would using them in a hiking film 20 years later. Side note... Blood and Wine was written in the front seat of my truck as we were on a road trip across America in our early 20's.
Hey John. Been watching your videos for some time. This video inspired us to hike to thousand island lake this June. Now that they opened back up. Can’t wait.
This video is one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. You left me amazed and speechless you made me laugh and you made me cry. Can't wait to take on this lifetime journey on my 2015 expedition. Thank you for sharing all these special memories. You're awesome man!!!!
I was thinking you almost overdid it in the start with an almost sensory overload of beautiful pictures, but then you (and the trail) were able to keep it up during. What spectacular places. Very nice work indeed. Looks like some awesome journey(s). Thanks.
+Jim Rasch Thank you... yeah the scenery is ever changing and the next place is just as beautiful as the last in it's own way, so it's very hard to get used to it. That's the PCT for you!!
John, to you and all of the rest of you backpack guys... this video really shows how miserable it can be... you went on...and it gets better! I backpack to hunt Elk with a bow, you guy put up with much more than I ever did! Love your spirit!
George Adams I also backpack in and hunt bear and deer with my bow. Carrying all the extra weight of hunting gear sucks ass, especially if you tag out. That's when the real work begins as you know. ;) Thanks for watching.
As always John, another fantastic documentary. A different feel to the others, more reflective in places but still great. Allan had a hell of a talent too.
Holy Shit. The scenic. The people. The music. I walked across America and identify with the feelings. We'll never have those amazing moments with so many amazing people. But, we get the gratitude and love of the memories for ever. This was a joy to watch. I hope you can do a "10 Years Later" I am curious to what everyone is up to. I know you guys now. Love to all of you.
Awesome video again! After ever trip I go on, a piece of the trail always stays with me and everyone who hikes along! Your videos always inspire me and my scout buddies to continue to enjoy the backcountry and do more and more adventures. I have yet to hike the JMT, and the PCT, but I know they will be completed soon. I'm currently taking the next 2 years or so to build up my trip mileage and then complete the JMT in one trip, south to north, and following a similar route to yours. Thanks again for the amazing videos and hike on! Alex (no permanent trail name decided.....yet)
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with me. I can't tell you how much you have inspired me to get out and just start hiking the PCT. I have always wanted to hike the PCT and thought that I never could because of family responsibilities and that section hiking the trail wouldn't be the same experience that I yearn for. For whatever reason your video has made me feel like its "okay" to section hike the PCT and that I can do it. Thank you.
Nicely done. What great memories. I was only able to section hike the PCT, but that was something to many of us regret. Thanks. Wally Weber in Big Bear played in our band, many moons ago...miss those guys too.
Hey John I just finished watching this video for the second time and I want to thank you for putting this together the way you did. I was so drawn in that I laughed with you sometimes when you laughed, and felt with you especially about missing your sons birthday and your grandmother's passing. As you walked those final few miles completing the journey, I found myself feeling deep emotion perhaps similar to what you might have been feeling. I believe this may be because at age 66 I realize I will probably never get to satisfy the intense inner desire to do what all of you have done. And so I did it vicariously. Thanks again to you and the others and if you ever make it to southern Oregon give me a shout and maybe we can do coffee or lunch or something.
Gary Cloud Hey Gary... Even if you can't do a thru hike of PCT status, you can still day hike along sections of it or go out for a few nights here and there. Remember, SloMo and Cool Hand were both in their upper 60's and thru hiked the whole thing. I don't know your physical condition, but if it's only an age thing, don't let that stop you from getting out there. Good luck and thanks for watching.
i feel the pull that hiking calls to so many! i have only hiked a small area in NE Ohio. i feel the need to see the pacific NW and I appreciate the glimpse you offered through this doc. thank You!
Very happy to have found this video. I LOVE your JMT documentary. Looking forward to starting through hiking after a couple years of short backpacking trips. JMT and section hiking the PCT are at the top of my list!
+Lisa Pelo Awesome... love to hear that. Hope you have great trail experiences. Hard not to, being the JMT goes through some of the best scenery on this planet. Good luck out there and thanks for watching.
Ron Balestrieri People make the trail. My buddy Synik is hiking the PCT again this year and he just started a couple of days ago. He called me yesterday and said that the trail was sucking this year b/c he was hiking all alone and all the "herd" was already way ahead of him. He wanted me to come pick him up and drop him off where everyone was, but he finally met up with some other hikers and everything's good again. Just proves the point... the people make the trail that much more enjoyable. Thanks for watching.
Amazing video. It was well filmed and edited. I'm glad I watched it all the way through. Hearing slo-mo's reason for hiking got me emotional. Loved learning about all the people you shared the trail with.
+Steven Kidd Yeah, it's a great trail to hike, but its the people who make the trail. I still to talk with Slo-Mo from time to time and a lot of others. Thanks for watching.
Hey John, thanks for turning me on to Allan- he's going on my playlist for our PCT Section hikes beginning 2019. Thanks also for the video, my favorite so far of all of them out there- stunning videography. Thanks for the gift man!
Just finished your documentary. Respectfully to all the others, this was by far my favorite PCT film! Your friend's music was beautiful and I enjoyed every bit of it! Thank you for making this and for sharing!! A beautiful tribute.
+Mark Baker Happy you finished it... lol Yeah, Allan's music seemed to fit pretty well with the story lines I had, so everything came together for me. Thanks.
Thx so much for all of the effort and time you must have put into this documentary, John. There's the hiking, for sure, but then there's also the post-hike work and editing which takes you away from your family as well. Your kids have a two pretty cool role models living with them ... their dad who is living his passion and their mom who obviously is so supportive of her husband's love of the natural world and of storytelling. Your work is truly inspiring ... and how cool is that ... not many of us "adults" can say that they've been able to have that type of effect on those around them. Thx again, John.
Carmen Gumina I really appreciate the kind words. Yes, sometimes all the time it takes to edit these videos in post production does take a toll on my whole family. Thanks so much for watching and the compliments... and a very special thanks to my wife and kids for letting me do what I do.
I didn't really have time for this just now, but once I started it I couldn't stop. Awesome movie, music and people. Thanks for sharing the experience!
Phenomonal Documentary and Music! I enjoyed every minute THANK YOU! My dream as a youth....Now that I am retiring I can at least do SOME sections of the trail...and know what to expect...thanks to you .....Brilliant story-telling!
I am so stoked about april 2017, I have been doing nothing but eating, sleeping and dreaming of the PCT. I have the bug for my first time trying it. I already have all my gear and cant wait. Good luck James. Have the time of your life. Safe travels.
James Fairchild Exactly how I feel, but I have to wait until 2018 to graduate.
Deeeeep snow will stop anyone.
Not if you have snowshoes.
not me...
Came here by accident, stayed the whole film through. Loved every minute of it.
cyphersuit1 Thanks... happy it could keep you there.
Yeah me too i was kooking for information on the ghost whisper down jacket and watched the whole thing. great documentary.loved it.

Melissa Pinilla I’m planning to do this a couple years when I retire! Somewhere between 60 and 65...can’t wait💜💜💜
My doggy,
I have been watching this for about 5 years at least once per year. I watched it tonight on my tv. Absolute GEM!
This could easily be a book…
great, great, great!

Everyone would do well to take a see and check out this film..
Getting us with the feels. Thanks for all the hard work Can't Hike 55, this was great!
What an amazing tribute to your friend's music. Wonderful, powerful music. XXX
You're very pretty.
This by far is one of the best PCT videos. Great music, great stories and amazing video footage.
Thank you Todd, glad you enjoyed it.
Putting the monumental physical endurance of a hike aside, the video editing is a butt load of work! Respect! You're inspirational man!
B Mode No doubt... the editing of these films are harder than the hikes themselves. Thanks for watching.
Great film,John. Thanks for taking us along.God speed,Allan.Rest well
Edward Kutschke Thanks... means a lot.

Thats what I thought, it will be interesting to find out what name will stick. :)
The best PCT and JMT videos that I have watched. Thanks for all your hard work and sharing your awesome adventures!
+priml66 Thank you for watching. Really appreciate the compliments.
Outstanding film. Pacing and editing especially well done. Congrats!
John just spent my night watching your doc. What a journey. Just wanted to say thank you for making what would normally be a "plain jane" Thursday night into one I will remember for a while. Just a wonderful film. Major props brother!
+Christopher Butler Awesome, thanks so much for the compliment. Glad you had a better than average Thursday night.
Awesome documentary John ,The only thing that trumps the beauty you captured of the trail is the people. Without people it is nothing. Good stuff :)
3nineteen You are 100% right. It's the people that made the film. Anyone can shoot beautiful scenery. Thanks!!
3nineteen Yeah. People hiking and smoking at the same time! Awesome!
One of the best documentaries about the P.C.T. I have ever watched. Cheers!
Oh goodie... this will be my evening TV watching - CAN'T WAIT! And still looking for H2L to magically reappear one day.
SacWildlife You and me both haha!
SacWildlife yeah add me to the list to saw this pop up and said "Yeeha !"
SacWildlife H2L coming soon... just letting the YT police cool off a little. Might have to redo the music on that one. Thanks for waiting guys!!
John Amorosano Do you know which song set them off? I don't want to make the mistake of using it myself haha.
I believe it was Yankee Rose from David Lee Roth... not 100% sure though.
Just watched again for the third time. You make me want to hike the trail. Thanks for introducing me to Allan's Music. I listen to it often. Thank you.
Great video bud! In a few days the saga continues!
William Dotson Can't wait bro... Grand Canyon is going to rock!!
John Amorosano hIKE on GRAND CANYON...
Yes, we did attempt a hike in the Grand Canyon. Video will be coming soon!
This has been the only movie I've seen where someone was section hiking the PCT. Great movie and soundtrack thanks to your beloved friend. This totally made me cry, especially the loss of loved ones that were documented.
Thank you... it was hard to hike that year.

Will Wood Oh and will are you gonna shave this time for the PCT? or go true redbeard like the at?
Simply amazing. I'll be watching this for years to come.
Chris Curtiss "The Man" what's up bud? This video exists partly b/c of you. Thanks for taking me on that 1st journey!!
i need to find friends to do this stuff with me in all different states etc
This is the best documentary of the PCT I have seen so far - and I've seen many!!! Thank you!!!
+Alexandra Evans That means a lot... thanks so much for the compliment, much appreciated.
This trail is on my bucket list!
hikers are the most beautiful people in the world ;)
Ah maan top film. Just watched it with my brother here in Hereford England. What a wonderful mix of stories all entwined together. Nothing separate about it..total union on the trail with people and nature. All the very best. Mark & Paul.

Cool. Keep an eye out for that. Should be varied!

He will be in every step I take and in every breath I breathe. (We had been on a long road together - so I resonate with the PCT and your experience). Love to slo mo and your good self. Hike on buddy - keep the big life going. Mark.
Something learned!
Joel De Gan hahaha... Did you see the real PCT?? What's up bud? Let's hike that beast again someday together!!
Oh, I am doing it again, might section a few parts here and there until, but I am not done yet.
Good to hear bud... neither am I.
+Kurt Weller My pleasure, glad you can find an escape through these vids.
that feeling at 7:20 was amazing, so many fun spirited souls embarking on an unforgettable 6 month or so epic journey from one side of the country to the other....(chills)
Thanks Peter.... like I say at the end, you never entirely leave the trail after hiking it.
One day I will definitely do it!! Keep the videos coming.
Loved every minute.... Great captures of the real emotions that come with going far and being gone... Brilliant film-making.. Thank you.
Thank you Kelly.
i just arrived from 4 months backpacking in se asia. being home gives me itchy feet again so i was looking for new challenges and i come across this clip.
Thank you!!
Thanks so much Roy... I will continue to try and put out quality videos. Our L2H 2016 video should be done shortly, stay tuned!!
Unbelievable video dude. I'm just getting into hiking at 48 yrs old. My Dad was a part time guide on the Appalachian Trail here in NJ. Your video brought back childhood memories. You are truly a blessed man!
David Barclay Hey, thanks so much for the compliment. Glad to hear you're getting back into hiking. I wish you luck and awesome adventures.
David Barclay hello!
John, another epic emotional journey...Thanks for bringing us along for the ride !
MrPhotoMojo Thanks for taking the ride... ;)
In so many ways this is the best PCT doc I've watched here on YT. Very touching - thank you John.
***** Hey... thanks so much, that means a lot. Happy it touched you, thanks for watching.
Sitting at my table back in The Netherlands I have enjoyed your documentary very much. Thanks for sharing this beautiful and inspiring journey.
+Peter V Thank you for watching... happy you enjoyed it. My pleasure to share it.
incredible!!! Didn't think i was going to watch the entire film... but I did. This really comes the closest imaginable to the essence of hiking.
+Alexander Hollefeld Awesome... happy the film could keep you hooked. Thanks so much for the comment, really appreciate that.
Thanks for sharing all of the great video. I really enjoy watch all of them. Looking forward to the next!!!
Kevin Winn Awesome... thanks so much for watching!!
Wow! Not sure how I missed this gem of a video by you. Another great job in producing it... The scenery, the passion for outdoor adventure, the people, the memories, the highs & lows, the sunsets, that is why we hike/backpack! Thx for taking us on another great adventure!!!
Always my pleasure bud. One of my favorite experiences I've ever had was PCT 2014.
This was seriously one of the most heartfelt pieces of art I've had the pleasure of viewing. Congratulations on your success and peace and good spirits to you brother on all your future adventures!
alex quick Thanks so much for the kind words... back at ya!
John, Awesome!! you are very talented. Thank you for making this documentary. No words to discribe this!
Dave Price hahaha... awww shucks!! lol Thanks man!!
The best documentary regarding PCT I've ever seen. AMAZING!!!! Thank you so much :), Lenka
+Lenka Šromová Ševítová Appreciate that... thank you for watching.
Beautiful. Beautiful amazing video. One of my life goals to thru hike the PCT. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing time on the trail.
Darude - Sandstorm You're welcome... thanks so much for watching.
Amazing 95 minutes - couldn't stop watching. As an Aussie I would love to do the PCT , it looks brilliant! Thank you for this amazing production.
+Michael Hancock My pleasure, thanks for watching. The PCT is definitely a magical experience.
Can’t wait.
Really terrific documentary of the PCT. Inspiring! Thanks for sharing this.....
T Jones Sure thing... thanks for watching.
Beautiful video. Thanks for sharing all those amazing memories. It put smile on my face.
What a wonderful PCT video!
I was so happy for watching it.
Thank you so much for sharing it.
Gyesoon Lee Thanks so much...
Definitely one of the best films on the PCT. Good job.
Thanks... really appreciate that.
Thank you so much for sharing with us. I can only imagine the majestic wonders of nature that you have witnessed. Safe travels!
+Christa Fouts I have witnessed many and there's a ton more to see. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing this - I love it all...but Synik's face on film when you pick him up in Washington made my day!!
Lionel UK lol... it made the day for both of us too.
This video is one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. You left me amazed and speechless you made me laugh and you made me cry. Can't wait to take on this lifetime journey on my 2015 expedition. Thank you for sharing all these special memories. You're awesome man!!!!
縁像 A Thanks so much, that means a lot. Hope you have the same awesome experiences I did, which I'm sure you will. Good luck out there!!
Would love to contact you If possible to ask you some questions about photo gear and other help questions. Thank you :)
No problem... just send me a personal message here anytime.
Great job Mr. Amorosano, thank you for sharing, you deserve all the best of this world.
Midhat Hasanic Thanks Midhat... you're always so kind!!
Your videos are so awesome thanks so much for sharing 👌👌❤️really enjoyed it.
Thanks, John. You've added some beauty to the world, as well as given me some more goals to aspire to.
That
s means a lot, thanks. Good luck with those goals!!
Fantastic doco. Thanks very much. Tears in my eyes at the end.
+Philip Young Happy it could touch you like that, thanks so much for watching.
What a great, heartfelt, positive, beautiful documentary
+Jon Keskitalo Thank you so much...
Michael Hewitt Yes he did... the film wouldn't be what it is without his talent. Thanks for watching.
Holy Shit. The scenic. The people. The music.
I walked across America and identify with the feelings.
We'll never have those amazing moments with so many amazing people.
But, we get the gratitude and love of the memories for ever.
This was a joy to watch. I hope you can do a "10 Years Later"
I am curious to what everyone is up to.
I know you guys now. Love to all of you.
Richard Noble Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it. That would be cool to find everyone in 10 years and get their take on hiking the PCT then.
2nd time watching your story of the PCT. I'm sure I'll watch it again, thanks for bringing us there.
My pleasure... thanks!!
Thank you.
hodgdog That's awesome... I wish you luck and hope you get to experience the PCT the way I did. Thanks.
Nicely done. What great memories. I was only able to section hike the PCT, but that was something to many of us regret. Thanks. Wally Weber in Big Bear played in our band, many moons ago...miss those guys too.
William Cargile Yeah, We're planning on hiking the whole trail continuous in 2020. I want the whole experience now. Thanks for watching.
Wow, thank you for bringing us along. Bravo John.
Amazing video and journey. The soundtrack was awesome as well! Thank you so much for sharing.
Awesome documentary, and great tribute to your friend at the end. Really inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
No problem, appreciate the comment. Thanks for watching.
Beautiful views, Thanks for sharing your PCT journey with us.
+Blanca Gonzales My pleasure, thanks for watching.
Best music on a documentary! RIP Allan...
+AMANDA BAER Thanks... agreed, Allan wrote great music. A lot of it goes good with hiking videos too. ;)
i feel the pull that hiking calls to so many! i have only hiked a small area in NE Ohio. i feel the need to see the pacific NW and I appreciate the glimpse you offered through this doc. thank You!
Hope you make it out to experience hiking in the west... it's unbeatable.
Love the fact that you focused on people as well as the trail. Very nice job.
That's great to hear AC, I just wish more of Allan's earlier material was out on the web for everyone to enjoy. Thanks for watching.
Awesome doc.....gets me excited to hike again and love the music.....
Chris Marquez Thanks for watching... hike on.
Great video, awesome scenery and music. The JMT is on my bucket list! Keep the docs coming!
tramac0 Thanks so much... will do.
I have watched your video several times. So beautiful. It is now my goal to hike the Washington section.
David Barclay Thanks. Do it in August or early September... ;) Good luck!
I didn't really have time for this just now, but once I started it I couldn't stop. Awesome movie, music and people. Thanks for sharing the experience!
Essanaye Awesome, glad it hooked you. ;) Thanks
INCREDIBLE !! Thank you John for making this!
+Robert Hacker Pleasure was all mine... thanks for watching.
Truly inspirational - it is what the rest of America is missing. Hope to see you on the trail!
+Robert Stiles Thanks... yes it's a shame most people will never experience something like this.
Thanks for an excellent video. You show the highs and the lows. I enjoyed every minute of it
David Lovering Yeah, there's good and bad when hiking a trail of this magnitude, and I wanted to show all of it. Thanks.
Phenomonal Documentary and Music! I enjoyed every minute THANK YOU!
My dream as a youth....Now that I am retiring I can at least do SOME sections of the
trail...and know what to expect...thanks to you .....Brilliant story-telling!
+Dirk Snyder Thanks so much. Hope you get the chance to get out there and experience this trail.
So beautiful. Well documented and edited. 🌻
