I love how we're getting recommended these small community videos, I wouldn't have found any of these wonderful people if not for Murder Drones being so fun to hyperfixate over
Actually, according to the 3D modeleres and riggers, it was challenging to translate Liam's style to 3D. They couldn't even put humans(with faces) in the series because they would look too nightmarish.
also, tessa's hands moved on their own, and if tessa was killed in ep 5 then that means cyn has been wearing tessa for decades and tessa still produces fresh blood without cyn using her powers. tessa's body is still alive in ep 8 technically, but her brain had been removed
9:57 I think that's sorta the point. The Solver *did* have the upper hand, Cyn was toying with them the entire time, and when they would land a hit, she would shrug it off and get back to it. It was her own overconfidence that got her killed. She had them on the ropes and was about to rip out Uzi's heart, but no, she had to go for one more teleports-behind-you jumpscare, and Uzi managed to read it and grab her heart
In the final battle you can see Cyn was not trying at all she was just having fun and never thought she was in any real danger I mean even when she died the only way uzi was able to land the final blow was because Cyn used her own teleport and uzi timed it properly
Even then, it was like Cyn treated it as a minor inconvenience, and she attempted to swallow the Core again... and her expression only shifted to shock when Uzi _ate_ the Core she needed to survive. The 😨 emojis in her eyes say it all. A subtle villainous breakdown reduced to a mere second.
I like to think its bc she knew she would lose. Hear me out: cyn has been fighting the solver's control and waiting for someone to stop it (to 'end this eternal dream', one may say). Now that Uzi is here, and has resisted the solver, she's excited to finally be killed/avenged. (Excited to be 'let go' believing shes 'not worth saving' and wanting to 'let them carry on', even)
I never even thought about that being a teleport. I thought she was just doing the hologram trick again and Uzi anticipated where the real Cyn was about to attack from.
3:20 Do note that this Sentinel developed a taste for blood after rebooting if it licking its teeth is anything to go by. Given the whole "bashing its head against a wall" thing, this might be a Sentinel version of a Zombie Drone rebooting with a mutation, just not necessarily an Absolute Solver-related one. 11:30 She's not noticing that she's a hologram (those always have blue flickers), she's noticing that Cyn is a bout to teleport, the yellow flickering being the tell.
There seems to be some debate as to whether Cyn literally teleports or if she's using holograms and cloaking to fake it and disorient her opponent. Of all the things that the things the Solver powers can do (make a living flesh creature out of an arrow!?) teleporting short range seems downright reasonable.
@@Applemangh Doll teleports multiple times and has not been seen using holograms, teleporting has explicitly been demonstrated as a Solver power through that. Plus, as mentioned before, holograms are always associated with blue light, while teleporting is associated with the user's color (red for Doll, yellow for Cyn).
My favourite part of the design is how the fleshy tears around the eye sockets are stylised to look like ‘pretty uwu lashes’ as Liam once described some of his earlier designs. I also love how her movement makes it seem like her human legs are going to cave inwards from the weight of her chassis, so she has the strange bouncing gait
As some clarification, this video is not me simping over Cyn, I just got hyper-fixated on the design of her character (and effort that went into it) after finishing the series and decided I would make a video about it.
I noticed something in the fight, every time it’s a hologram it’s blue, and every time she teleports she is yellow, (or a bright orange) So Cyn wasn’t using a hologram when jumping at Uzi, she was teleporting behind her.
I always thought it was releportation. That would make it even better, since Uzi didn't break Cyn's chest to get to her heart: she just put her hand in the place it would have appeared
cyn does not actually have the ability to teleport, she just uses holograms to play as her while the real cyn sneaks around and when the hologram dissapeares and the real cyn shows up, it gives off the effect of teleportation
@@nicolaridolfi6510But if it was a hologram that would imply Uzi took advantage of the hole in Cyn's chest made by the pickaxe during the hologram fakeout earlier, which I think would be good writing.
@Monody512 the Absolute Solver regenerates the body parts of its user really fast, so I don't know if that's the case. But again, my statement doesn't deny nor confirm any of the thesis since Uzi could have both put her hand right where Cyn's heart spowned, or broke through her chest by literally punching through it. Or again, maybe I am wrong on how fast the solver regenerates body parts like that and Cyn still had that hole. What doesn't convince me is why the holograms should be of two different colors: blue and yellow. It makes more sense to me that blue = hologram, yellow = teleportation.
@@thatonejjkfanxd no, Cyn CAN teleport, when she’s using Holograms, you usually see Blue, but when she teleports, she’s yellow. Blue = Holograms, Yellow = Teleportation
As a fellow autistic person from the Void. Cyn is my favorite character from MD. I’d say that I’ve begun mimicking her attributes, but I think I’ve been doing that long before the show lmao.
Cyn is so silly and cute but can kill you. "criss cross applesauce" "sheepish nod" "annoyed expression *litearlly smiles brightly* " "shuffle shuffle shuffle"
"Uzi turned around when she realized Cyn was a hologram" I'm pretty sure Cyn can teleport. She saw she was about to teleport, and Cyn's fighting style specifically involves teleporting behind her opponents and taking their core from behind.
I completely agree Cyn is the best! If I ever get the chance I will 100% be cosplaying her. She is the best Eldrich nightmare I have ever seen and I love her for it.
Another tiny foreshadow: in Ep. 6, when the dingo dino shoots at Tessa, just before V catches it, you can see Tessa's right hand do the thumb-and-two-fingers-extended pose that Solver users do when they use Solver abilities.
I relate a lot to Cyn, so I'm always happy to see anything around her. Definitely enjoyed this video, though I'd recommend you try writing your scripts in advance- since it seems like you don't. You do fine without a script(Or with the scripts you have right now) but it could be better if it was just a little bit tighter at times. Very good job. One thing I thought was cool is how you use that image as your kind of avatar/branding. I like how you show it on screens and stuff throughout the video, took me a bit to realize thats what it was, and could probably be done better, but an awesome aesthetic nonetheless!!
You relate a lot to cyn?? Cyn is like a force of nature trope who destroys planets and wrecks havoc for no particular reason, but she acts silly how do you relate to her??

If Cyn wasn't one of- if not my favorite character in the show, her design and personality make her an incredibly good and fun villain. Although I do wish we got to see more of her Episode 5 design. When it comes to character design, for me it's a tossup between Uzi and Cyn.
I think bro completely skipped over one of cyn's best character traits. Her creepieness. She how she snaps and contours like a fleshy mass with loose ligaments. and how she is damn near animalistic and vishus
Afton wishes he was that effective. Tessa's not a rotting corpse -- she's a living, still capable of producing blood corpse. Try not to question it. Assimilation is easier.
I legit love Cyn for every reason. She’s a cutesy villain with a voice and lines that are way too fun to mimic (Thank you, Fitzy), robo-autism, and she’s just too adorable for words. I’m literally gonna be Cynwalker for Halloween because the need to be that version of her is too strong. Even just the way she moves in EP8 has become ingrained into my mind, and I’ve caught myself mimicking her on more than one occasion. Not just the autism hands but even the way she shifts her body when approaching N and Uzi during the infamous “Hello, Uzi. Hi, N!!” scene. Her movements in the final fight are 100/10. Just knowing she was playing around is both terrifying and adorable. Sorry for my rambling. I just love Cyn, and her plushie gets so many headpats daily. Edit: I FORGOT ABOUT HER PULLING THE SWORD OUT OF THIN AIR!! Also, she’s like 4’0 and beating everyone’s ass, I can’t.
I did actually plan on mentioning that when the video was still in script form, but a lot of things were lost when I converted the whole thing to just five bullet points.
another small detail I love is in episode 6 when they first enter the lab Tessa try's to access the mainframe to disable the security only designed for human contact then it shows Access Denied in her visor and she hides that fact I wonder why
yeah idk how people get confused about the colour difference, Cyn teleports into Uzi's hand at the end of the fight which is why theres no large entry wound on Cyns chest only enough for the arm then she tears out the heart and we see when her body collapses the large hole in the chest. And if you watch closely Cyn's teleport is intentionally slowed down, like she wanted to get caught, doesnt resist when Uzi grasps her heart she just sits there, and when holding Uzi's arm with both hands Cyn just lets go of it.
Since movement is more like a dead corpse walking, or a zombie, or like a demon who was trying to control a person or make them walk but they never got it all the way down yet
