Sorry man, for all the destruction the IDF has inflicted on the infrastructure of Gaza and its people, Hamas is far from defeated and the IDF is exhausted and battered. Hamas is popping up on places recently “cleared”.
I think rather that Hamas dropped the demand knowing that the IDF has nothing more to offer and that they can pressure the exhausted IDF in to withdrawal anyways. After all there is a war brewing in the north with a far more potent group and the IDF is short on man power.
Oh by the way there was no tunnel shown for all the destruction. More recruitment for Hamas am afraid
