I have to say the challenger 7 is a great shoe. My ex wears them for everything, and it was an incredibly pleasant ride. Also looking forward to trying the Arahi 8. The Arahi got sequentially firmer (or I got heavier) from 5-7, even within production runs. I still like a support shoe for daily miles and switched to the guide 17 but it’s fit is loose like sleeve of wizard. I’d be happy if the Arahi 8 is a compelling option again, or the new topo support shoe.
Amazing to see how out of touch hoka is with their own products and consumers. "With the tecX3 being a more nimble trail thinf it gave us the opportunity to make the mafate a more long run shoe " Meanwhile : TecX3 = utmb shoe ( seems pretty ultra to me), but absolute not for technical trails. Too squishy and unprotective Mafate speed 4 =up to 60k technical trail racer Hoka: yeah we need the mafate to.. Be another ultra distance shoe
Maybe you should try the zinal 2? You are looking for faster/lower stack? Someone said they they pay royalties on the speedgoat line- the mafate seems like they are trying to shift those consumers to that. Haven't wrapped my head around the 5 vs the x though
Someone give this man and his production team a raise! Putting in OT this whole week 👏
We can do that with the super thanks button.
Thank you very much, I really appreciate that you’re mentioning the team. They’re the heros!!
The audio is really clean 🫧
Superb coverage, industry leading.
Amazing content. Thank you so much!🤘🏼

This Hoka lineup has me intrigued. Those Mafate makes me salivating, both the 5 and the X.
It has me salivating for the mafate speed 4 on sale!
No news on the Mach 7 at the event? :(
Bondi and Challenger as well 8mm drop?
4mm ! (never seen any hoka with 8mm drop)
Until now, you are correct. But clifton will increase to 8 mm drop in the version 10.
@@eiriktollisen2968 yes, just saw that on another video... Clifton 10 is the new Bondi :(
Please make sure Mach 7 is an upgrade. Don't ruin a great shoe.
