It's a bit silly that there is this rift in the manga collection community about how people choose to collect. I have no issue with condition and buy a lot of used / ex-library manga on the cheap but if you want to pay a premium for a format you enjoy more you do you. Can't we just be happy that we all support manga?

What's the big issue, you buy what you like PERIOD.

1) do you try to collect more than one series at a time or do you just focus on one until it is complete?
2) when are looking for rare manga do you try to buy the whole set all at once or do you piece it together from different sources to keep it cheaper?

Hey PromG! Any advice on hunting rare manga with different year editions? Some series from the 90s were reprinted in the early 00s with different spines/publishing logos. Should I try for the same editions? Some part of me wants 1st editions for this one OOP manga I'm hunting 😩

I agree with everything u said. Single volumes r way more comfortable and just feel nicer and is way more fun to collect. Some of the manga community is becoming toxic and they are gonna progressively get more but hurt over others just because they’re jealous. I love the content so keep doing what u do
