Yeah? I dig Jay's playing in .5 but it seems he cheats on the older songs with the double bass. He hides it well but I can hear it, and can sympathize.
Josh Steffen Especially having to replace Joey Jordison... There's a reason why he was named the top drummer by votes last year, even though he didn't release any material. He's a powerhouse, and I could sympathize for anyone trying to fit into his speedy shoes!

Hey Josh, I'm getting a drum set soon but it doesn't come with a double pass peddle, should I get a normal one, or an off set, also do you have any advice for a beginner? Thanks is advance :)
I'd start with one. Or get a double and focus on the the leading foot first.
Good advice for beginners is play nirvava and acdc. Even if you don't play it right, just practice through the song and get comfortable with transitions and staying on time.

Drumsticks are like 8-20$ a pair, I see no point in breaking them unless it's buy accident cause you were in the "Zone".
The fact he was able to break it shows that they were already close to breaking, and you don't want that happening in the middle of a song, so better now than later

I wish to capture the snare sound I had on the bungle cover. I don't know what I did but it was thuddy and cracky at the same time.
Josh Steffen Yeah, i don't really know if it's the video or what, it might sound different to you when you're playing it... and it happens that sometimes i watch one of your videos and THIS snare sound seems just fine but that's because of the song. I'm used to hear a more agressive sound for metal, though. But anyways, aside from that, great work man, you're very calm and never get too tired when playing (at least it doesn't seem so :P )

Great. I'm going to be playing drums soon and I was wondering what sticks were good to use and some good snares.
Promark 747s are nice. I've been using pulse 5a nylon tip recently. They are a tad smaller for my little hands (my dick is fine, btw) and 6 pair cost 20$.

Hi, I am a big fan of your drumming. I was wondering if you could do a Type O Negative cover. If you have heard any of Type O's stuff before then you probably know that most of their drumming is slow. But I would like to request that you do either Gravity or Der Untermensch by them.

Really good cover. 99% perfect. Only Thing that isnt 100% right is that be used the double bass to play what shawn and chris play. The drummer does not play that. Althoug ut sounds awesome og isnt 100% correct. But nobody can be 100% perfect. Keep up the good work man
