His short time on talksport has kind of showed that, hasn't it? This is what happens when you go from making generic jokes as a presenter to actually giving your own opinions. Talksport seems to have a lot of knobs working for them these days. I guess that's what gets the controversy and the views...

"...handing over the title to a rival..."
First of all, Spurs aren't "handing" the title to anyone. There are 38 games, and the team with the most points (or best goal difference) wins.
Second, Spurs aren't winning this match anyway. The least they can do is try to win.
And third, let's not underestimate the importance of the final match. Say Man City draws today. Arsenal still needs to win on the final day against Everton, and hope Man City doesn't increase their goal difference.
But Spurs supporters have this delusion that they are some sort of "kingmakers".

Tottenham literally still have a chance at a Champions League spot, and the difference between qualifying and not qualifying for Champions League is so massive that entire futures of football clubs often are tipped by whether or not a team qualifies or not!
So yes, *that* is what the benefit is! Again, no risk besides bragging rights if things don't go their way (and that's not even mentioning that Tottenham fans will have the ability to say "you're welcome" to Arsenal fans who try to trash talk them), and *massive* amounts of funds that could make or break the future of the club if they fail to finish in the top 4!
That's for anyone genuinely arguing in good faith! Sadly, I know a lot of the comments on here are by bots paid for by Man City (yes, for those who don't know, they hire bots to spread "pro-Man City/Man City owners" propaganda as part of their sportswashing campaign)!

Spurs dominated city more than Villa did when they beat them. I’ve not seen a team smash them like that. Only thing missing was that bit of clinical. Could have been 3-2 easily

How you gonna sign players in the summer. Would you like to sign for Tottenham? We lose on purpose 😂

This week's football has demonstrated how and why Tottenham have not won a league since the early 1960s. Wrong mentality all around that club!

I thought he retired which is why he left sky sports or was it he was replaced for a younger generation?

Being older, white, and Male ticks few boxes.
I found out the hard way in 1994 so, exactly,30 years ago after I got a job that I had done as a Temp for a full year. 3 weeks after permanently landing that role, which was the only position, a memo came around saying "Black people are underrepresented in Education" and I was out without even getting an interview.
LUCKILY, it made me form the first of my 2 Medium Sized Businesses and by 1998,I had an annual turnover of £3 Million but that is not the point.

Not a fan of either club, but surely spurs fans must want to get top 4 if they had chance to do so. The prestige and money bought in to help club progress is very important. Unless you want to stay in the second tier of the prem for rest of your days as long arsenal don't win. Don't u have any ambition other than stopping arsenal winning.

It's got nothing to do with champions league or not no fan should ever want their own team to ever loose a match. It's what a child would say - well there you go.

Spurs fans have no ambitions what so every, yet they get furious every year because they feel and most importantly express that their club don invest to win trophys. .. there are so many contradictions in that fanbase...

Does these lot know villa needs a point to secure top 4. Spurs needs to win both games and hope villa lose. Its not in their hands. Spurs can win both games and still not get top 4 which is the most likely outcome if they where to win both games. I honestly believe the only way they can get anything from the game is if they sit back and that will most likely only be enough for a draw. Something arsenal fans would love but doesn't help spurs at all. Difficult spot to be in but if i was a spurs fan with how likely top 4 is I'd rather take the L and not let Arsenal win. If top 4 was solely in their hands i would understand this conversation. But tbis is just Jeff being an arsenal simp. Arsenal would have rolled over backwords if it meant spurs not winning the league. So its odd that they're the ones suddenly complaining about it.

I can't lower my morals enough to understand this way of thinking. Absolutely pathetic from Tottenham fans.
