My mother was determined I should have the family dinning set of my grandparents. The table seats 12 with all 5 leaves in, which were stored in a special box in her garage. My house is small, open concept and I already have the perfect small table that fits. So much guilt about not wanting it and letting it go to donation, we didn’t have time to store it to sell it as we had to empty her home for sale. Nobody wants your old stuff, my 2 kids have been vocal about this. Changed my perspective on what I’m keeping and what needs to be passed on now, or I’ve said no guilt about getting rid of it.
