@@kkh7454 hey don’t put yourself down! with enough practice and learning, you’ll eventually get to this level :) it may take a while, but that’s completely normal. remember all of these artists started from somewhere too
I love how you throw shapes around in the beginning. Really interesting technique. Might just adapt it. I'd love to see how you'd use this with a tree heavy landscape like a forest tho
Hi Jordan. and thanks for sharing your concept art. I will tried to follow your style. well I mostly do character painting, but your work inspired me and want me to try out!
hey Jordan, thanks for posting these demos! Amazing work man...really inspiring! I have a technical question for you. Can you briefly explain what you are doing when you switch to grey scale view during your painting process? (after youve applied colors) sometimes it seems you are making adjustments in this view. Is it a mask view? and how are you adjusting the image in that view? Its seems your keeping close track of values.
Do the concepts for these come from scratch? modifications of work prompts? and for this vid in particular, are you exploring/creating/solving as you're going along working off a vague idea?
I tend to just make up an idea as I go along and I did the same with this video too. I don't really have a concrete idea in my head when I begin, just a rough idea of the kind of composition I want to do. From there I just have fun with what I feel works as I paint through it!
Thanks for you videos ! I wonder if you fuse layers sometime, you might have a pretty big computer to support all these layers and the screen flipping ahaha
Not necessarily! My computer is super old now (about 6 years old) and it can still run Photoshop and do stuff like this OK. I imagine if you've got a computer that's newer than mine you'll be absolutely fine!
@@JordanGrimmer Wow I didn't think I'd get a reply from the guy who DID the art but sweet. Thanks man, your art is so beautiful hope you have a good day.

Thanks! I hope this helps you :)
I kind of want to know why people disliked it. I don't say that in a cocky way, I actually wonder why. It's just a time lapse of really cool art.
Great work man! The way you use the shapes and the colors inspires me a lot.
Brushes are Wonderful.... your great in that concept and lighting
Great ! your light was amazing :) sometimes I get lost with 20 layers, you just have 207.
Haha, I don't really mind how many layers I use, aslong as I have a vague idea where things are that's good enough.
I am so imagining seeing all your artworks in a video game!
Thank you so much for showing us your process!
Glad you like it!
Man I rlly want your brushes and custom shapes BTW I like your artwork n__n

Keep at it and you will!

it's awesome..
How do you make everything look so grand?
Amazing content, keep it up. Could you tell me how do you quickly switch between color and grayscale? Like in 8:35
Hey, thank you! I actually made a video showing that here: ruclips.net/video/o9zWGLwT9vk/видео.html
WoW amazing! What brushes did you use?
those layers ....
You’re a cool guy, Jordan like your paining haha
hey jordan, did u use wcom for this, or just the mouse and trackpad ??
How much time does it take to complete this work?
Una pregunta, como haces para pasar la ilustración a esca de grises y luego volverla a color help me
Is that true you need a powerful computer to make this? Since its using very big brush and have so many layer?
Not necessarily! My computer is super old now (about 6 years old) and it can still run Photoshop and do stuff like this OK. I imagine if you've got a computer that's newer than mine you'll be absolutely fine!
How many hours did you spent on painting this masterpiece? (Sorry, my english is not good)
I think this took about 4-5 hours if I remember correctly! And thanks :)
Does anyone know what program he's using to create this SICK art?
Photoshop :)

Idk man, I think you could've used more layers.
Jokes aside, amazing stuff.
Love the video. It would be cool if in the future under the information, the music in the video or playlist was also included.
Haha, I'm sorry, but it is? I also put in the music information at the very start of the video too.
