Fun Fact, there are very rare instances where the overall stat distribution is uneven with the overall table of available stat distributions and you do get one stat rolling higher than 30 at base. Essentially, it's a special case where instead of assigning two distributions to the top sub-family and two to the bottom, it assigns three to one and one to the other. This is, effectively, what happened to me and it's why I have a novelty piece of warlock gear with a 38 BASE mobility and a 1 BASE intellect. It's also worth noting that just because you get a 66 roll doesn't mean that it will be an even 33-33 split between the two sub-families. At 68 it will always be an even split because it has to pull from the highest available stat distributions to achieve it. Anything lower than that could be an uneven split. So that 66 roll could be split 33-33, 31-35, or vice versa. This is because the game pulls for each sub-family from pool of distributions ranging from around 13, all the way up to 17, and it pulls twice for each sub-family. This is why you (typically) cant get anything lower than a 2 in any given stat. As an example, the system could pull twice for your top sub-family and get a 14 and a 16, and twice for your bottom sub-family getting 2 17's. This would put you at an overall of 64, but your top sub-family would be equal to 30, while the bottom would be 34. Inside these smaller rolls like 15, 16, etc. are where the actual distributions take place. So if you were to get a 15 it could go even across each stat in the sub-family giving 5 to each, or it could hand it out as 1, 1, 13, or any variation on that and a few less weighted variants as well. There are certain activities in the game like master duality and pit of heresy that have odds to help you achieve more weighted rolls so that when a distribution is pulled from the pool for a small number, it's more likely to go into one stat than another. So if you were to do these activities and get a piece of armor, and it were to roll 2 16's for the top sub-family, it's purposefully weighted to give you more distributions like 1, 1, 15 and its variants than it is to try to evenly spread the stats. Equipping a mod to help focus certain stats is essentially you telling the game "hey, any lower number roll you have that's less than 5 in this stat... I don't want it.. get it out of the pool" which is why it's guaranteed 10+. Combine that with high-stat armor and weighted drops from certain activities and you have a recipe for great armor rolls. Great video. Keep it up man.

I find it funny how afters years of never taking stat focus mods off my ghost, i finally did some number crunching into what my ideal build would be. My dream 4 10 10 10 10 5 couldnt happen, but shifting to 5 10 10 10 9 5 is doable (Tho you'd need a 71 stat exotic with literally perfect distribution, I can verify its theoretically possible. And even though all the focus mods should work, they just make 10+ stats confirmed, the tendency to steal more than the usual amount means these armor pieces end up being harder to find with the ghost mod on, so for the last few weeks, i've had it off. It's not likely we're going to get to keep a ridiculous self-buff like that after the rework...
Don't use Exo Frame for Focusing! It drops gear with much lower total stat number. I recommend Crown of Sorrow or War Table, just choose the one which feels less grindy to you. Plus you get some easy risen umbral energy for playing crucible and strikes with the right upgrade. 60 total stats is the minimum you will get on them. Exo frame gives anything from 56 total stats.
true, I constantly get 66-68 gear from War Table. Risen activity is really good to farm, it's quick and easy, 4 runs (~20min total) is enough to focus 3 pieces (if the backtrack cheese is still working, it takes half of that time)
@@raven-0621 I know, I was really confused when I was out of umbral energy for it, and decided to use exo frame and got only stuff under 60. I dont believe it's bugged, just that the war table has a high stat armor upgrade where the star chart and exo frame either don't or it's limited to the first piece each week
@@nimrodszocs2795 If you're trying to max out your armor ratings, 64 is an insta delete piece of crap. 67-68 is the goal, with the right spiky distribution. For that, it seems pretty clear that Psi War Table is better, and so is artifice master farms.
I have 100s in resil, int, strength, and mobility. But this can all be summed to use your subclass and don't worry about weapon perks and use your ghost when entering dungeons and if you want just do pit on its rotation week
If you have high mobility on a hunter you don't need high strength. Its a waste of stat points because you can dodge to get your melee back. Something to keep in mind if your doing a invis build.
Wow I actually feel amazing about my build. This was recommended for me I don't look up builds as I main titan skullfort for unlimited melee for arc, synths for solar unlimited hammers, doomfangs for void. Crown of sorrow for me, has been the best with regards to armor. War table has dropped some nice gear but nothing compared to the crown.. I have 100 res/rec/disp for each armor class.. solar/void etc etc.. farm the leviathan and sever for all embrals I needed..
Thereupon this was done on the Solstice event is because that's when the best armour rolls dropped. I used to get great drops al the time now since kings fall has been introduced into the game it seams that great armor is harder to come by its basically all I farm for but this season seams like bungie is throttling good armor I noticed I'm getting a lot of high stats on ledgend armor with a total of 58 or lower and a lot on blue gear but end game master and grand Master activities are dropping with lower total stats than they used to.
Im mad man and have gone for 100 Res, Rec and int, this video helps so thanks for the tips Regarding Umbral Engram focusing Psionic Intel is the most likey to drop 66+ gear and its quick to earn as only 4 tokens are needed per attempt (you earn alot from running them) Plunder is BAD rolls rarely passed 60. Crown and this seasons rolls aren't bad but your more likely to get 61--63 which isn't that high the first roll of the week is a guaranteed 66-68 tho but only once
I have zero problem getting many armor combos to triple 100's.. But getting that quadruple 100 stats, that's no easy task.. Using the DIM app helped me manage it all. Still grinding for those pieces with the right stats though.
wow. this is so fkn interesting I play warlock only, I have used disc focus forever because I love my nades and was ok with not getting 100 res/recovery so many times when id get good armor it would be like 20+ disc and then 15res/recovery and my friend would always whine about how much armor she got had wasted int stats shes a hunter main and thus wanted mobi+res+recovery, which just now, years into destiny, I am learning isnt possible really... wild.
Got triple stats for all 4 classes plus a PVP triple stat… It was a great waste of time that made me feel awesome at the time. Basically did the same the video stated.
Thanks for the video. I keep using the strategies mentioned but still struggling to get triple 100s. I have several double 100s though. Being a busy solo player makes long team activities less of an option for me. 😅

Personally I tend to run something else than those. Triple 100 is cool and all but not cool enough to sacrifice a strong set of 5 combat style mods working together.
I think its worth noting, 42 is the Visual max stat you see on a piece of armor, but 42+ stats will still take effect, An example is if you have 52 mobility on boots, the game will show 42 Mobility but you acctualy have 52 mobility taking effect instead
how do you get those things for your ghost? I dont have those things to focus on certain traids for armor drops, or is that onlu available when there is no season ?
With the artifice changes Duality is the best but before that Pit was the best. Veeery spikey armour stats. I hope they add Master difficulty and artifice armour to it in future updates.
War Table focusing is far far better. So much of my triple/quad hundred builds have gear from the War Table - Though the Umbral Energy isn't the easiest to mass acquire, it does create incredible gear far more reliably.
As a player coming from warframe it’s surprises me how much of the best loot is locked behind fire teams and associated activities. In warframe I have easy access to everything the best gear and best builds here not so much maybe 70 to 80 percent of the game
Maximum total armor TIER (without any MODs and Fragments!) is 32, so basically: for Sub-stat family 1 (M,Res.,Rec.) max = tier 16, and Sub-stat family 1 (D,I,S) max = tier 16. Were minimal "Sub-stat family" value can be T1 (18) and maximal T10. For example: T1+T5+T10, or T4+T6+T6 in total it cant be more than T16 in one "Sub-stat family" without MODs and Fragments! NOTE: It's possible only when you use Best-In-Slot items: THREE basestat:total:=68 legendary armor items and ONE basestat:total:=70 exotic armor. UPD: So, from this you easy can calculate that T32 + T9 (Total MODS: Powerful Friends, Radiant Light and 5 (five) T1 armor mods) + T4 (Max Fragments mods) = T45 is maximum tier build you can get.
I don't know why but I just can't wrap my head around how to do this I was feeling proud of myself yesterday because I figured out how to get it at least two of my stats 100 I keep masterworking different pieces of armor but it never even got out right for some reason
I hope you're using DIM. The loadout builder is great. Just keep finding armor pieces that have high spikes on the stuff you want, and then use DIM to see what you can make out of them. There's also d2 armor picker, but I still prefer DIM.

My greates rng drop ever in destiny is my titan artiface helmet from master duality that has the max 32 in resilience and discipline for the perfect 80 total split
Honestly this week farming GM's with your ghost armorer mod on is the closest you could get. Since it's double loot week you'll be getting 1-3 exotics per run. Only bummer is you can't focus specific exotics. Legend/master lost sectors wouldn't be worth it in my opinion because the drop rate is super low. Find some people to farm the GM with!
I know this is a few weeks late but I am hoping for a reply, thanks in advance. So you're saying that you want to set your ghost mod in resilience and then hope that the 2 buckets spike in the 2 you want? For example, if I want mobility and discipline on a hunter I set ghost mod to resilience and hope?
2:06 Technically incorrect, I haven’t seen anyone else get a glitched piece of armor but my friend did get lightkin gauntlets that had 40 base recovery, it also had a base strength of 1, to this day I’ve never seen any other piece of armor like it
One question, does this also work for exotic farming as well? Like, if i were to go to lost sectors to farm the exotic drops i need, would having the ghost help rolls, or do exotics have a set value for each stat that I would have to work around?
As somebody who doesn't have a single 100. This is actually helpful. Will I utilize the information? Probably not. I just don't have the time or the will to farm, but it's still useful nonetheless.

When I first discovered focusing, for me, as a solo player, it was life changing. I really hope they will add some good way to get some high stay gear like this in lightfall
@@raven-0621 could you explain some more about the backtrack cheese please? i’ve always neglected doing psiops because it felt too long lol
@@kryption1516 after you complete the Cosmodrome one, you loot the chest and go back (with Solar Warlock and Eager Edge) until another area loads, then instantly go back, you will get teleported to the end and the chest will be lootable again.
this way you can get 6 Umbral energy per run (if this still works)
nice vid above but seraph and plunder armor focusing is bugged since day 1, just use the psi ops war table for this.
Why would it be bugged? They all drop the same pretty good 60+ armor and maybe a 64+ occasionally, they are pretty much the same. What part of it is bugged?
Thought so, I've rolling 58-60's from seraph focusing. Psi-ops will be better than nightmare containment time-wise
@@nimrodszocs2795 the stat totals aren’t the takeaway, the stat splits aren’t nearly as spiky as crown and war table focusing.
I have 100s in resil,int,strength,and mobility.
The War Table still dropping the best armor I've seen. Plus Psiops battlegrounds can be crushed in 7 - 10 mins. Worth the grind.
Wow I actually feel amazing about my build. This was recommended for me I don't look up builds as I main titan skullfort for unlimited melee for arc, synths for solar unlimited hammers, doomfangs for void. Each piece of gear is 83 on everything I've molded a fee to 108 on 3 pieces I have 97, 97, 97, 88 32 and 34 I have mods on melee gives me super engery which I have unlimited and I'm jot sure what the mod is I get grenade every 20s aswell I usually have super depending on event sometimes within couple mins
Damn I've been relying on resilience ghost shell mod and powerful friends to make up the mobility
Im mad man and have gone for 100 Res, Rec and int, this video helps so thanks for the tips
Regarding Umbral Engram focusing Psionic Intel is the most likey to drop 66+ gear and its quick to earn as only 4 tokens are needed per attempt (you earn alot from running them)
Plunder is BAD rolls rarely passed 60.
This is very cool to know. I didn't know the Max Capacity Cap of the separate Stats or the Total Stats.
This is the best explanation ive heard about armor and how to get better stat armor! Thank you so much!!! Heres my Sub!
Precisely the armor stat description I have needed. Clear, concise, awesome. You have a sub and like my friend
I've seen this video in my recommended for a few days now, I just though it was some clickbait bullshit. Glad i watched thanks for the tips and info.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for watching
wow. this is so fkn interesting
I play warlock only, I have used disc focus forever because I love my nades and was ok with not getting 100 res/recovery
so many times when id get good armor it would be like 20+ disc and then 15res/recovery and my friend would always whine about how much armor she got had wasted int stats
shes a hunter main and thus wanted mobi+res+recovery, which just now, years into destiny, I am learning isnt possible really... wild.
This was best explanation I have seen and cleared up a lot for me. Thanks!
You're very welcome!
Got triple stats for all 4 classes plus a PVP triple stat… It was a great waste of time that made me feel awesome at the time. Basically did the same the video stated.
I think the Master dungeon is always the move. Master Prophecy was when I noticed the crazy stat roll drops.
luckily master prophecy does not exist lmao
Simple and easy explaination. You never lost my attention and that's saying something lol.
Thanks so much!!
Great video man to bad there's still now way to target farm exotic armor and lost sectors are painfully boring
That and for me nothing drops
@@angelgomez3802 lmao that's funny if you think it's just you 😂
@@TheMax107 glad I know I’m not alone😂💯
FINALLY! a video that provides an option that doesn't require you to have friends! Above, your a national hero!
thank you, a lot of rambly content out there, this is really top quality product man, appreciate you
Thanks for the video. I keep using the strategies mentioned but still struggling to get triple 100s. I have several double 100s though. Being a busy solo player makes long team activities less of an option for me. 😅
Do you like being a solo player, and how come.
@@vokeadam624 I started playing in D1 and used to run raids/etc with my clan but life changed and got busier so my play time is very small and occasional. I feel lucky when I am able to connect with friends to run dungeons or some PVP matches. It is just a reality I need to accept and deal with. I can go weeks and months without logging in to D2. All depends on my responsibilities.
For 100 resilience and mobility you still need powerful friends especially if running void since you can easily lose stats due to fragments
Personally I tend to run something else than those. Triple 100 is cool and all but not cool enough to sacrifice a strong set of 5 combat style mods working together.
@extectic2571 i only run the mobility one on my hunter cuz i needed the extra cooldown for invis dodge
New player: as a titan why do I want to focus recovery AND resilience? Don’t I just want resilience?
I think its worth noting, 42 is the Visual max stat you see on a piece of armor, but 42+ stats will still take effect, An example is if you have 52 mobility on boots, the game will show 42 Mobility but you acctualy have 52 mobility taking effect instead
This never happens
Interesting. I have some boots I can test this on. I'll have to try that when I get home today.
Dude thanx man. Just got back in to D2 and had no idea
how do you get those things for your ghost? I dont have those things to focus on certain traids for armor drops, or is that onlu available when there is no season ?
With the artifice changes Duality is the best but before that Pit was the best. Veeery spikey armour stats. I hope they add Master difficulty and artifice armour to it in future updates.
My man above 🙏 thank you for the clarity sir can't wait to catch another stream.
Duuuddeeee!! Thank you sooooo much, this is very helpful for a casual player like me trying always to get better armor stats for my character
Awesome info I main a warlock and have trouble finding what I wanted, but this is definitely helpful and useful 👍
War Table focusing is far far better. So much of my triple/quad hundred builds have gear from the War Table - Though the Umbral Energy isn't the easiest to mass acquire, it does create incredible gear far more reliably.
There is a way to get 5-6 (Double ) risen energy … every time :)
Thats still only 1 1/2 armor drops per completion of the activity. Whereas you could do Master Caiatl for 2 Artifice gear at same totals.
99% of new player would of been a better title but i love the vid man. Keep it up!!
UPD: So, from this you easy can calculate that T32 + T9 (Total MODS: Powerful Friends, Radiant Light and 5 (five) T1 armor mods) + T4 (Max Fragments mods) = T45 is maximum tier build you can get.
this video is so easy to understand and makes things seem easy enough to achieve
thankyou for your time and hard work
I don't know why but I just can't wrap my head around how to do this I was feeling proud of myself yesterday because I figured out how to get it at least two of my stats 100 I keep masterworking different pieces of armor but it never even got out right for some reason
I hope you're using DIM. The loadout builder is great. Just keep finding armor pieces that have high spikes on the stuff you want, and then use DIM to see what you can make out of them. There's also d2 armor picker, but I still prefer DIM.
I can't seem to find or loot the armorer ghost mods. Anyone have any advice?
Thanks Above! Keep it up man!
Just wanted to reaffirm that duality does indeed drop the spikiest artifice armor. Much better than grasp or spire.
Plus it’s a tonne easier to farm, no champs and kill boss in the dps phase every time.
@@M8NTIS did they change the master duality modifiers? I thought they had champions in them?
@@SavvyMon4 there technically are barrier champs, but they just sit in 1 spot in the nightmare realm and do basically nothing
@@SavvyMon4 never did, only void shielded dudes got added.
i have 2100 hours in d2 and never knew armor had 2 cats in armor. i thought it was just all random.
im farming for new armor for the new season and this vid is gonna help.
Like and a new Sub. Thanks for laying the info out like you did. It's a lot to take in sometimes. Awesome job! I'll try to come catch you on Twitch sometime soon. Just recently started watching players on there
My greates rng drop ever in destiny is my titan artiface helmet from master duality that has the max 32 in resilience and discipline for the perfect 80 total split
You do a great job of explaining everything. thanks bro!
Watched this video just in time for Feb 7 🎉
Hi hunter main here honestly for gm I prefer 100 resil obviously and 100 intellect because I’m a team player with my tether
Liked the video, but the outtro song made me push the button lol
Love it bro! Jeep up the great work! 👍👍👍
Thank you!!
Another great video! ❤️
What would of have to put on the ghost for resilience mobility recovery and the left over if possible in strength? (I’m a hunter)
Put on Strength Mod.
If only exotic gear could be subject to this strategy
Honestly this week farming GM's with your ghost armorer mod on is the closest you could get. Since it's double loot week you'll be getting 1-3 exotics per run. Only bummer is you can't focus specific exotics.
Legend/master lost sectors wouldn't be worth it in my opinion because the drop rate is super low.
Find some people to farm the GM with!
All the people who had nice builds and had 100 100 and that pesky 97 that change to artific will be just what we need!
This was very helpful
Thanks 🙏 this helps a lot since I ran out of legendary shard lol 😂
Need to put this through testing
Interesting…never knew about this
Go for discipline over strength on a hunter, use gamblers dodge for the melee
Super helpful!
How do I unlock the mods for the ghost to make the gear drop with the higher stats
