    I like that your videos are not just about hand reviews. It's a melting pot of social life, working for a living, food, poker and all the internal dialogs of "hmmmm.... what am I doing here?"

    You played scary good.. I liked the way you played the KQ hand turning it into a bluff and I liked that hero fold with KJ, you trusted your gut and even though the best option was to call remember that its only the best option by a margin, I wouldn't sweat small leaks like that its only important that you at least can acknowledge potential mistakes. I know GTO is the baseline most optimal way to approach poker but think of it this way, if you always play a hand a certain way like GTO when its most optimal to 3 bet certain hands like AQs, that will create an image of you especially since you are making vlogs. If the button raises and the sb calls and you a pretty certain (based on previous actions) that even if you 3bet relatively large with your AQs you will get called by both players (based on previous similar situations with the same loose players) then its ok to just call with AQs instead of trying to isolate and narrow opponent ranges if you feel like its very hard to get them to narrow their ranges. GTO is the best way to play a random player but if you have information on an opponent then you should use it and exploit them and pay no mind to GTO. I personally don't think your goal is to be a GTO wizard and most of us here honestly dont worry to much about GTO when it comes to live poker so please don't ever be embarrassed about how you play a hand that is against GTO strategy, You could be a roll model to these fresh new nitty poker nerds that are trying to find their gut and make strong personal hero moves. I love your hero plays and they make the game enjoyable to watch and they promote action in this terrible dried up dying world of poker. Live poker is all we have left because online is super boring now so please dont go full GTO the poker gods will be dissapointed in you. Anyways I certainly wouldn't want to be OOP against you. This video was great for your image btw I love the bluffs, even im like licking my lips and saying all i have to do is play against her and shes gonna bluff at me eventually. But i have seen enough to know it certainly wont be easy to win chips from you. GG

    Something I noticed about your betting style - when you splash the pot you’re most likely bluffing. Look at the way your bets are vS when you had AJ.
    Makes sense since you don’t want your actual bet to scare off the opponent.
    TLDR: keep your bet style the same so you aren’t giving off tells!

    Nice vlog - I appreciate the lifestyle portions. I think you do a good mix of everything.
    I also vote for two cats if you're getting one. You'll already have to deal with a litter box, vet, toys. May as well give your cat a companion!
    Good luck and keep it up!

    My advice is please get two cats as a pair if you do decide on having a cat. I had a cat and she would always cry when I left to work, then I got another cat, its so much better. Cats are very independent so it wouldnt be much more maintenance having two vs one. Just an extra litter box and automatic feeder

    @dealerG 2 месяца назад +1

    For the KJ turn fold, consider your entire range when the board is K or Q followed by two low cards. You have don't have as many 5s in the CO as you do on the BTN. Your range CO vs SB 3-bet that calls flop is heavily JJ-66 and Kx on the turn. When you fold KJ you're folding top of range. If Villain shoves river on a blank you can exploitatively fold even though the solver might call because humans always show you AA, AK, or KQ at worst. A solver would find QJ as a sick triple barrel but most humans aren't doing it just because it blocks your KQ, KJ, and sometimes a stubborn JJ.

    When you check your play with solvers, do you focus on what the GTO play should be? Or do you adjust the settings as your table dynamics change?
    I have been studying with solvers and I find that I lose more. I’m wondering if following the GTO play is actually hurting my game, as the responses on the solver are also against “GTO” which I think is far from how most people play especially live. Curious to hear your thoughts, want to learn from a winning player!

    • @JennyDPoker
      @JennyDPoker  2 месяца назад

      Good question. I take a look at what solver says but I’m usually trying to just learn a concept rather than verify what I did was right or wrong because the latter doesn’t really help me in the future. What helps is understanding why something was right or wrong and knowing how a change in an opponent’s range would impact a decision. For example you made a check raise bluff and it gets called down - you could check whether it’s a good bluff or not by GTO ranges BUT if your opponent is more nitty, maybe he doesn’t bet flop that much and so his bets represent stronger hands than usual so what might usually be a bluffing hand might now fall into a folding range. I don’t think studying GTO is ever bad.

      @@JennyDPoker I found it and am about half way thru the stream; you playing quite tight in this session and so far I noticed 3 hands; the A8 suited where you and the opponent both flopped 2 pair, the 1010 against Kelly where you jammed on the turn - do u not think you could have just bet small or even checked to jam on the river? She looked like she wanted to pay you off and had been steaming the whole session! But my fav hand was the 76 suited where you over bet the river and your opponent showed you the king and folded!! I bet you was singing inside on that one!!! LOL will finish the stream off later but so far so good from what I see!!! 🙂

    The biggest issue I noticed during your play is, you’re not calculating on the river what your opponent would have to be calling with. Over valuing your hands and not betting when you should for max value.
