saw ben harper playing in a little cafe in ojai,i was out visiting fam in ventura,ive lived all over but i hail from little oh.town. hed just turned16 and was not steeped in blues yet,matter of time! i had my harp on me and we jammed for 30 mins! i just new he would be a great musician!!!!!!!!

I remember back when I worked for 97x which is now GONE..it was WOXY 97x BAM the future of Rock and Roll..well..Ben played for about 4 of us out back of the studio. It was one of the most amazing things I took part in. I played the djembe and smoked one with him and he was SO fucking nervous. It's good to see good people make it.
