GT track surface currently looks better hete, however the overall look is awful. GT does hdr extremely poorly. Grass isn't nearly black.in real life when it rains. Therez virtually no colour in the gt vision so overall it looks worse and not realistic
I dont need to look twice to say GT. Overall look wise GT looks more pleasant and somehwhat realistic to the eye. We can argue that sometimes the HDR gives it a more darker look but when it comes to wet surface detail there is no competition. I kinda expect quite a bit more from AC EVO, the game may well be on early acces but to demonstrate what its capable off it feels like it falls short in comparison. Especially after all the talk of realistic water build up and all that. I do like that the grass is greener as it feels more visually appealing to the eyes but GT does give the illusion of wet weather much better here. All in all I feel like its quite early to call a winner here but if I had to choose I will go with GT now.
Initially i was underwhelmed by GT7s rain affects but its really grown on me expecially since ive started watching alot of real racing footage since the game came out the only two critisims i have is that you cant see it that well when its falling and its not available for every track and i think we should get rain on the dirt track get some mud going on as well as some falling snow on the one snow track we have lol and get us more snow tracks. I was extremely impressed by the rain on Nurburgring, on the first straight, the rain comes directly at you while driving. That combined with the setting sun, its amazing.
A lot of people think the rain in GT7 is too hard to see when falling. I’ve been paying more attention to how rain looks in real life and noticed that even very heavy rain is actually very hard to see falling, as I guess you’ve noticed when watching real racing footage. A lot of other games make the rain drops look like falling glowsticks which is not realistic. The main thing I think they should improve is the look of the raindrops splashing on the ground. And the rain at night on GT7 also looks really good. You can only see the rain when theres light shining on it. So in the car’s headlights or under a streetlight it looks really intense.

GT is The Real Driving Simulator for a reason....dozens of racing game IPs have come and gone since the first GT game, but GT still remains at the very top....can't wait for GT8
Gran turismo 7 is a great game! I enjoy it a lot and have over 100 hours in it, but its not a simulator. The driving physics just arent realistic enough. Trust me i used to think it was realistic too but once you have tried an actual simulator you realize its not. In gt7 i can whip corners at 70 mph where as if you tried that in something like iracing you would slide out. Any racing game that can be played with s gamepad controller is not going to be a simulator

Early Access has nothing to do with graphics. Early Access refers to the game's features, but the graphics engine will not change. The graphics will remain the same.

Game's been out for over 3 days now and since then Kunos has been collecting feedback for future improvements while having their own checklist of what needs to be polished up.
Being that AC Evo is still early access it absolutely has no particle effects (smoke, dirt, rocks) or ground effects (burnt tire marks) added in yet. This could be why there's no puddles or the road looking wet yet. Also looks to be a time of day difference with gt7 being later in the afternoon or early evening while ACE is late morning or afternoon.
everyone has to remember this is "early access" which means graphics will still improve, physics, I think car sounds are on point and performance will improve and idk comparing a full game released after 5 years compared to a game which is just in its early access is not really a good comparison
ACE's weather fella quite unfinished currently, the feel is alright but visually the track really doesn't seem to get wet in the slightest. Obviously it's still really early on but i would have rather had no weather system day one and a more polished one later on into the early access. Otherwise the game looks pretty good for the most part visually in my opinion and i hope it'll get better as play testing goes on (and the whole online server situation gets resolved)
GT7 looks prettier. But I gotta be honest, when compared with real life footage, ACE is closest. GT looked like when the footage has lots of post processing effects/color grading to make it looks as cinematic as possible.

We need to all have clear that GT7 has Kaz, a car and photography obsesed detailist with the backing of Sony to make the consoles peak demostration of graphics since PS1. Kunos is a smaller team, small teams (specially on the simulation genre) dont spend a lot of effort on Art Direction. Thats why some games like DCS or War Thunder dont look as nice as Ace Combat even when those are bigger and more advanced games

In my opinion, AC Evo presents a much more realistic interpretation of the Suzuka circuit. Gran Turismo 7 looks a bit more like an actual video game. I also like the realistic track details and touches in Assetto Corsa Evo. The GT7 version of the track looks a bit sparse by comparison. AC Evo is only in Early Access and looks this good. I can't imagine how good it will look WHEN IT'S FINSHED.
You really dont need to look that hard to see that GT7 has an edge on realism right now. While its true Asseto Corsa Evo just got out and I am confident it will be improved uppon but I cannot deny that its quite an underwhelming showcase of the supposedly realistic weather effects in comparison to GT7. It all depends on whether the developing team are convicted to actually improve uppon it or the mods will.

Polyphony Digital probably couldn't add as much trackside detail as Assetto EVO since it is only on a console, and we all know that means that you can only add so much. The modding will just the icing on the cake.

The wet track that kunos showed in the trailer is visually better than this one, it seems to me that the rain system is not completely ready yet.

The thing is that AC evo is going to rely on the community with mods to make the game look better while GT doesn't need mods. That's the difference.
