Von Bolt's super power is much more scary in the story campaign, where a one-turn freeze can allow the ozzium to one-shot your units while they cannot move.
I heard that the extra bonus in CO meter from infantry is actually a buff to the one who built the infantry, as you gain double CO meter from losing a unit than destroying one, making spamming infantry and mechs possibly even better than in AW 2
This. Defensive charging means building infantry provides a very big benefit, and that you want to invest more of your army into infantry. As such, characters that boost infantry in this tier list are kind of underrated (Sami especially). Sensei is also underrated, but not so much because of his infantry but because of his insane unit count. There are a ton of ways to simply abuse him and I would not be surprised if he is the second best character in the game (after Hachi), with Colin and Kanbei following up (and if 80% of your army is infantry, Sami is probably next in line on most maps).
@@aasgier9091 Exactly, quantity over quality is a big thing in AW. Even if your opponent has medium tanks and such, an artilary defended by an excessive amount of infantry making it nearly impossible to hit is very scary. I've experienced the sensei horde before, it is quite scary
Good thing they remedied this in Dark Conflict. A unit that finishes a unit off will rank up and gain firepower and defense bonus, regardless of the value of the destroyed unit. This punishes infantry spamming, and not protecting wounded units.
I really liked Dual strike because Jess is my favorite CO and shes an absolute power house in it. Her theme is an absolute banger too, it got even better on the DS. I hope this Jess is used in the remake.
you know i've noticed in these rankings you often mention how you've never tested or are interested about a certain interaction between CO powers or game mechanics and i think combining them all into an "Advance Wars Mythbusters" would be a really cool video idea.
Sonja subtracts terrain stars before Lash doubles her own. Also Javier does not get a defence bonus from the +5% comm tower effect skill, it is however still a very good skill to pick as any CO if you have at least 1 comm tower.
At first I was like "Oh okay, it's been ages since I played Dual Strike. Was she really that bad...?" and then I said "No, stop. She's literally the worst thing."
a pencil? where she had a giant pencil at least in my emulator of gba that was a gian ammo which made sense since she was a vehicle specialist, also i think that eagle should had a 10% less power in his ground units while jess should had 10% less power in his naval units only and with drake and his 10% less power in air units you have a perfect triangle too bad that they didnt do it since in the og drake and eagle were meant to be opposite to each other since one was a serious and focus commander while drake was more laidback and tranquill one
Yeah the story *really* pulls this, IMO otherwise pretty greatly designed character, down. I mean, he got a good design, an amazing theme and a really fun and unique Super Power that also packs quite a punch - its really just that he is very poorly written and, when compared to the previous final boss Sturm, appears underwhelming.
@@kazekamiha honestly, i don’t think that would help him stand up to Sturm (which IMO he should be able to, considering he is the final boss), as he would still get beat both in passive effects and special effects by Sturm. Honestly, ive been thinking a lot lately as to how i would buff Von Bolt in a way that would allow him to stand up to Sturm as an equal. I’ve thought about increasing his stats to 120/120, but then he’d still be lacking a passive ability which Sturm had (he got to ignore all terrain travel costs) and his SCOP would also still be weaker than Sturms (Sturm did 8 dmg and heavily boosted his firepower, while Von Bolt does 3 dmg and stuns those hit units for a turn - both dmg effects have the exact same range, so Von Bolt is missing out on the global firepower boost). So a stat increase alone isn’t going to cut it, which is why i started thinking about a passive effect that might work - and i think i found one that would work and make sense: What if Von Bolt would not allow his enemy to counterattack? That would mean that every time one of Von Bolts units gets the first strike on an enemy unit, this unit would not fire back at him, allowing him to use damaged and weaker units to still deal sone decent damage and stop the enemy from advancing further. This would be an immensely powerful effect, would work beautifully together with his SCOPs stun effect (he would get two turns of uninterrupted attacks on those units) and would justify him having weaker stats than Sturm did, while still allowing him to enter the same liege. If that sounds like too much i also thought about 120/120 stats and adding the not firing back effect to stunned units.
@@kazekamiha But what i was talking about wasn’t a small bonus - plus im not altering his stats… A small bonus would be something like +10% firepower during a sandstorm or somethinglike that (in which case he would still get beaten by Sturm due to the SCOP being so much weaker than his)
finally finished the video gotta say davis' editing was complimenting your commentary making the whole tier list incredibly engaging and amazing throughout 10/10 would spend almost two hours watching an egg talk about advance wars again
Oh my god! Is that the Coveted Design Doc i see over here? I think my respect for you passed a normally insurmountable levels.... Now that i realize that you are a fan of the Advance Wars Series. Hats off.... err, i mean, Market Crashes off to you, Good Sir!
Can I just say that Dual Strike was my first ever advance wars game and the characters introduced in it are some of my favourites. I absolutely love playing Sasha, Grimm, Javier, Jake and Rachel
Without even realising just how dumb the firepower bonus was for Kindle I'd been thinking even without her day to day bonus her powers would push her into B tier alone, but potentially all the way to A off powers alone even if she didn't have the day to day
Mangs talking about Olaf: They(CO powers) still work exactly the same as they used to, Blizzard still makes it snow for a day. Also Mangs talking about Olaf: However, both of his powers now make it snow for 2 days instead of 1. Me: wut
My boy Olaf! He's actually even better than described here. His snow bonus is passive and unrelated to his COP so on turn one of COP hes actually 130/110 and second turn is 120/100. That's nuts considering you can keep this going pretty much indefinitely since he's the only CO that can charge his power while still benefitting from it on turn 2. Also since he focuses on his regular COP Sasha can't shut him down. He plays way different than before but hes definitely legit stronger in awds.
Mangs: "People are getting upset at how I'm saying their name. I think it's pronounced [pronounces it correctly] but IDK how to pronounce it so I'm just gonna keep calling them [cringe pronunciation]"
I think it would come natural for him to pronounce Javier name correctly if he knew spanish: Javier is based partially on Don Quijote after all, as Green Earth is basically the European Union
In response to the Sonja/Lash stuff, I asked a few of my friends who know a lot about it, and they said the following: "If Sonja's Super was popped first, the terrain star reduction would be taken into consideration BEFORE Lash doubles it. But if Lash pops hers first, first the doubler goes away, the terrain stars are reduced by two, and THEN the doubler is put back into play." So it looks like Sonja indeed hard counters Lash. Those train star doubling takes effect only after Sonja reduces the stars as much as she can.
Very good list, Dual Strike is my favorite in the series. I only can hope and pray it gets a remake as well with the original art style. Also as a Sasha main I find her to be pretty good, high C tier or low B tier imo. Her little power is extremely good against certain CO's with deadly Powers. She is pretty effective at evening the playing field.
If you plan to cover Days of Ruins, you may need to make a video about the changes made in that game, and give an rough idea of how the matches go for pvp first. Even comparing AW1 to Dual Strike can't match the differences between this game and the previous 3.
Get us those Days of Ruin deets, and play through the game again, egg-king. Might be good for getting some new comers familiar with the gem that it is.
I only found your channel today and had no idea there was a competitive AW scene, so it's been a really interesting ride. Cool stuff my dude. The only game I ever put any time into was dual strike, but after watching these tier lists I'm itching to go back to the others.
I think Grim would be a good CO if he had some movement boost; like -1 Movement cost for anything over 1. Without movement he can't get the 1st hit reliably.
I like to think that this Von Bolt is a "sick" version of himself, i mean, he was like the second in charge, left behind to recover himself after a thought battle, and with Sturm's death, Black Hole needs him to be in charge, no matter what. If we can see another Advance Wars game with him as the former ruler of Black Hole, i really love to see a "full-healed" Von Bolt
The devs were clearly high when they came up with, Javier's defence buffs from comm towers The entire concept of tag powers Colin's normal power Hatchi
Javier is based on Don Quixote, a character who thought windmills were giant monsters, so having him use vaguely windmill-shaped things makes sense, I suppose?
It feels mostly like it's designed with the singleplayer in mind, and with all the mechanics of the game. That unfortunately does mean player v player is going to be horribly balanced.
I think the main reason why Kanbei in DS was nerfed is because in advanced campaign you can pick any CO you unlocked and unlike AW2 most maps start with pre deployed units so you can cheese a lot of them with Kanbei, even at 20% bonus.
Solid tier list. I've been playing AWDS for a long time and have play tested many COs in custom games. I'm glad that our findings line up very closely.
Weirdly it was never the shell that confused me, it was the Jerry can she had. It's kinda on the thin side, I just thought it was a briefcase for a long time.
I just had an idea for what Von Bolt could have been: Slightly weaker units, but they get HP back after battle at a fraction of damage dealt. (Maybe half since he’s the final boss).
I'm all for even a "potentially incorrect at some points" tier list on Days of Ruin, that could still be very interesting to see how your opinion changes after some extra games and a discovery of the system ! Kind of a "Days of Ruin tier list : before and after understanding all of the nooks and crannies of the game". Kinda how people used to love Flak when they were beginners because he's big, bad, mean and *can* do big damage sometimes, but then just understood how luck works and started seeing him for the joke he was
Rachel was good for the last mission on the second front because of all the cities. Couldn't control her directly, but give her the +1 repair and set her to defensive and she was surprisingly dominating.
I could definitely see why it would be much more difficult. Not only you have to take in account on the COs and the zones, but also the units have gone a change. Like the APC going to a Rig is nasty at times lol. Then there are the Battleships that are super good being able to move and fire on the same day as an indirect, then you have Anti-tanks being an indirect, but still be able to fire back when fighting in melee. I would love to see more on that. Out of all the Advance Wars games, Days of Ruin is my personal favorite. Second is Black Hole Rising
Been playing Advance Wars recently, absolutely love it. It's interesting to watch these videos and learn about the competitive game a bit, very awesome aspect to the series considering I don't think the genre typically does that.
You're underestimating the value of defense, but only for Sonja. Her day to day is NOT a 10% bonus to firepower against enemies with terrain stars. A Kanbei on a city takes 50% reduced damage. Against Sonja that's only 40%, meaning an attack that would normally deal 50% will deal 60%,effectively a 20% attack power bonus. Her little power bumps that to 77%, an effective 54% damage increase! The more defense her opponents have, the better her abilities are. Of course, they do nothing against air units...
well kinda. I mean, you are not wrong, but at the same time, at a certain point, the buff she gets from removing the defense stars doesn't matter anymore. or better said, if she uses her super power and attacks an enemy on a plain, she doesn't do that much more damage, because the normal 1 star is allready gone from her dtd power, her damage boost is rather small. only against units on high defense terrain her powers are rather good.
@@Dr.AvenVon her day to day is almost always relevant, her little power is often relevant, but her super less so. Often times the most valuable units are kept on the best terrain though, so it's more likely to be useful when it's more important.
My favorite part of Mangs talking about Rachel is the evolution of him frequently prefacing that he was not absolutely certain about the targeting priority of her SCOP. And now he's sure of it.
Hey Mangs. I discovered your videos after the AW: Reboot reveal and I’ve been addicted to your AW playlists now. I already watched your AW2 playlist and now I’m going to move on to your other AW content. Definitely one of my favorite channels now for AW content. Really looking forward to your AW content leading up to the reboot!
Yeah, Kindle is pretty ridiculous. If I would balance her, I'd probably keep her high attack power on properties (except with more reasonable numbers, probably 20/40/60), but make her Normal only damage units that are on properties she owns (to prevent fund drains from forced repairs, something only COs focusing on economy powers should have in my book), give her Super a soft and hard cap (something Colin's Super should also get btw) and also give her infantry a base -5 or even -10 on Defense as part of day2day because they're posh soldiers. The Defense penalty sounds rough and counter-intuitive, but I feel that would make her property game more interesting and diverse for both parties, making getting her infantry to properties (or preventing exactly that) a nice puzzle to figure out.
Kindle doesn't need to be balanced, she's perfectly fine as is. Completely overrated honestly, her property increased damage comes up way less than people like to believe it does and also matters much less, playing a lot of games on AWBW let's you learn that pretty quickly. Her COp is played around so so easily by another human player it's not even funny. What you did with your balancing is just make her close to bad.
I think DS olaf should get a big defense bonus in the snow instead of offense. That would give him the slow play flavour from the previous games, and it is a very logical bonus. 20% defense bonus, with the fact that you can basically permanently have snow up would be very powerful.
Hey Mangs, new viewer here brought by the gods to see the resurgence of advance wars (Dual Strike was my most played game on my ds I think) as much as I would love to see a somewhat predicitive tier list of days of ruin, I think I'd rather see an updated and more recent play through of the game as yours is all the way back from 2014, and the quality doesn't hold up as well lol. Either way keep up with this awesome content and I'm so glad the algorithm brought me to here!
Javier: *PREPARE FOR SOME GLORIOUS HINDSPANKING!* RUSH THE COM TOWERS! Jess: Finally I'm f*cking fixed. Eagle: Improved, I'm. Drake: Wack. 2:23 Hachi looking good! Yeah just like what someone else said, it has a bad story, but it's still a good game. Oh my God Nell's theme in DS is f*cked ugh. Bruh. No one: Blangs: NINE NINE NINE NINE NINE NINE NINE NINE NINE NINE... Bruh the Max description has a typo, he doesn't have weak indirects, just smaller range.
Can I just say that I love this game. It might be my favorite advance wars character because of how broken this game is. I can already guess that hachi, colin, kindle, and von bolt are probably the best characters in the game.
guessing javier is supposed to be a spaniard or whatever the equivalent of that is in macro land so it would be haa vee air instead of the english pronunciation.
I would enjoy the look at the AWBW tier list. And with how popular AWBW is becoming now, and more new people jumping in, honestly maybe even just a basic strategy guide for PvP in advance wars because while tons of people have played AW, honestly I don't think the amount of people that actually played PvP back in the day is very high. Or at least, played it in any remotely serious capacity.
About the people that complains about von bolt A rank for his final mission. He is a good CO with that 110/110 and his Super Co is good except in big maps with a lot of plains like the final campaign map, where the cities are in the botton zone, but the action is in the opposite extreme, thank to this his superCO power in the final mission is garbage because the enemy units can scatter so easily . But in small maps or when both armies are fighting, you can kill any unit that turn without the danger of an attack in enemy phase, except with indirects, so it is like a pseudo lighting strike with that extra 3 damage.
Hawke is a B because he has a long meter. This is the same for Von Bolt, let he gets a A? True, it's a good power, providing the enemy doesn't spread their units around. Just it takes longer to activate.
One nice thing about Jake that wasn't mentioned: his air units also get attack bonuses over plains, and they don't get terrain defense anyway so leaving them over plains is as good as anywhere else. However, they don't get any movement boost from his super power.
I got an idea for a vid: a Video about your hopes and dreams for a potential new advance wars. I personally would want at least one if not all COs to act on the field like in wargroove.
@@feasibilyheretical that would be interesting too. I don't think all COs should be on the field. Instead just one so it stays a special thing. Maybe a unit only accessible for that CO/the faction the CO is a part of?
I've always hoped people would start romhacking AW2 in the same crazy ways we reinvent FE6/7/8 - I'd love to see an AW2 hack with dual strike extras and a bit of re-balancing. It is a dream game that might never officially happen but I feel like a community romhack or even a better version of advance wars by web that played more like the real game is a dream we can hold onto based in some idea of reality !
Sensei is my favorite CO just because of how he's designed. Like baseline his gimmick is "The three best units in the game are buffed and to compensate for that the units you dont use anyway are nerfed"
Drake and Sonja might be C rank CO's in regards to power, but nobody can deny that they are S rank in regards to being annoying, I honestly prefer to fight against Hawke, Sensei and even Colin sometimes instead of those 2.
I'd be willing to bet that a lot of the reason behind people thinking Hawke is more powerful than he is is due to the singleplayer campaign missions where you face him. Singelplayer just plays different than competitive multiplayer in almost every game, and from watching some of your videos I can tell that it's no different in Advance Wars. In the campaign, you're often given lopsided matches where you start with relatively small forces and the enemy has predeployed units and many captured properties. The maps are also almost never symmetrical, they're designed asymmetrically to provide a challenge to the player, and all this is without even getting into the special structures that the opposition has at times, like minicannons, black cannons, lasers, etc. All of these make the missions more difficult, and Hawke in my experience, being the big bad for most of the game until like the final mission where you face the ~true leader~ he gets the most challenging fights. Plus, missions where he gets units for free (factory missions) or just a bunch of predeployed units gives him an even larger advantage than in multiplayer, since he doesn't have to pay for those units that still benefit from his bonus to all unit's attack and defense. But in multiplayer where, at least from what I've seen purely from spectating, matches seem to generally be symmetrical maps with symmetrical starts and few if any predeployed units, Hawke loses a lot of those things that make him so scary in singleplayer. He's still scary, day to day bonus attack and defense to all your units is still good, powers that damage the enemy to repair yours is still good, but it's not _as_ scary.
@@ranaashhad8040 And Sturm was removed in Dual Strike, making the only Hachi-counter unavailable. FUCK HACHI IN DUAL STRIKE!!! Even the combination of Sami and Eagle would be gone before they could even pops their Powers against Hachi.
@@ranaashhad8040 Yup, BUT can you do it before Hachi is a different did was a different story. If most of the Hachi players know you are playing Javier, he will interrupt your capture and since he could deploy shit faster than you. Godspeed, man. Hachi is way too versatile while Javier needed at least a com tower to function properly.
I really would like you to make another video for the COs of Days of Ruin. I find the CO mechanics of Days of Ruin to be both a fascinating part of that game, but actually preferable over the entire series.
Interestingly, I tested this a few times, but Javier becomes completely invincible if he has the equivalent of 13 com towers (through power or super power, or even just maps with a lot of towers.) His units become completely invincible to all combat damage, a full hp bomber at maximum power cannot harm an infantry at all.
I believe Colin still has not worked out his insecurities. He has the experience; however, he does not have confidence in the experience. The funny part is that he is one of the best in the game. What I cannot understand is that Grimm is supposed to be this legend. He was not even mentioned in Advance Wars 2.
Grimm is Sensei's student. Having such a legend as your "sensei" (ohohoho!) would give you a lot of cred right off the bat, since you learned from warfare royalty. Is the idea, anyway. I think that is what they intended.
I just started playing Dual Strike for the first time and there's an opening text that says it's been 3 months since the Macro Land war. If any characters look older it's just because of the new art style.
Just watched this and the AW2 video, and one thing that I didn't see come up regarding Hawke that always frustrated me is that his powers would frequently be stuck in a place where they would have to be inefficiently used. If you used them before an attack and your units were at full health, they didn't get any recovery, and if you used them after an attack and the enemy had 1 or 2 HP units left, it didn't finish them off. If they had made it so that his units could go to 12 HP or that enemy units could be wiped out, he could've easily been an A-rank CO, but there would almost always be a situation where one or the other cases made it so that his ridiculously expensive CO bar couldn't be used efficiently.
After watching your first ansd second ranking videos I wanted to try advance wars online pvp; but not the dual strike characters, cause I never played this game; now I want to try them all. I'm not really good, but I like to play Thanks for all the videos you do, you're doing it great.

My biggest disappointment in advance wars was discovering that jess'big pencil was actually a tank ammo
*Wait whaaat*
Agree
a pencil? where she had a giant pencil at least in my emulator of gba that was a gian ammo which made sense since she was a vehicle specialist, also i think that eagle should had a 10% less power in his ground units while jess should had 10% less power in his naval units only and with drake and his 10% less power in air units you have a perfect triangle too bad that they didnt do it since in the og drake and eagle were meant to be opposite to each other since one was a serious and focus commander while drake was more laidback and tranquill one
Von Bolt literally broke out of a nursing home to take over Black Hole
Yeah the story *really* pulls this, IMO otherwise pretty greatly designed character, down.
I mean, he got a good design, an amazing theme and a really fun and unique Super Power that also packs quite a punch - its really just that he is very poorly written and, when compared to the previous final boss Sturm, appears underwhelming.
I think if they upped his Att/Def by 10% and maybe gave, say, one more small bonus he'd be a terror.
So a stat increase alone isn’t going to cut it, which is why i started thinking about a passive effect that might work - and i think i found one that would work and make sense:
What if Von Bolt would not allow his enemy to counterattack?
@@MrxD-cg5xs I DID say add one other small bonus, right?
@@kazekamiha
But what i was talking about wasn’t a small bonus - plus im not altering his stats…
A small bonus would be something like +10% firepower during a sandstorm or somethinglike that (in which case he would still get beaten by Sturm due to the SCOP being so much weaker than his)
finally finished the video
gotta say davis' editing was complimenting your commentary making the whole tier list incredibly engaging and amazing throughout
10/10 would spend almost two hours watching an egg talk about advance wars again
Can't believe they made olaf went through a enemies to best friends arc with drake
Loving these tier lists. I don't know if you've addressed this but I'm curious if you would also do one on the current patch Wargroove COs?
Without even realising just how dumb the firepower bonus was for Kindle I'd been thinking even without her day to day bonus her powers would push her into B tier alone, but potentially all the way to A off powers alone even if she didn't have the day to day
Imagine the NIGHTMARE that would be 2 turn 20% stronger snow Olaf on AW2
He could've been an actual counter to Sturm on those conditions...
Not, but the old guy would sure put up a fight.
Mangs talking about Olaf: They(CO powers) still work exactly the same as they used to, Blizzard still makes it snow for a day.
Also Mangs talking about Olaf: However, both of his powers now make it snow for 2 days instead of 1.
Me: wut
editor missed that one!
Honestly the fact that they're not hard to pronounce names makes it all the more painful
Yeah jokingly or not it’s a bit annoying saying the names wrong.
I think it would come natural for him to pronounce Javier name correctly if he knew spanish: Javier is based partially on Don Quijote after all, as Green Earth is basically the European Union

Sonja's back luck going down is just CHAD STORYTELLING
Silly Mangs, Jake is no Zoomer. Jake is old enough now to have kids and a mortgage at this point.
Andy still don't know what a airpot is he didn't even know about fog of war
i think im with andy on this one... what the heck is an "airpot"
He's like an outdated version of what old people think how teens act.

In response to the Sonja/Lash stuff, I asked a few of my friends who know a lot about it, and they said the following:
"If Sonja's Super was popped first, the terrain star reduction would be taken into consideration BEFORE Lash doubles it. But if Lash pops hers first, first the doubler goes away, the terrain stars are reduced by two, and THEN the doubler is put back into play."
So it looks like Sonja indeed hard counters Lash.
"Man I was looking for a video specifically for this- why haven't I seen it til now?"
*sees the video was put up like 6 minutes ago*
Hachi alone is so op.
On every map at every encounter at any weather.
Love the fact that drake is consistently "sea" tier.
No matter which tier Sasha is, I gonna choose my waifu no matter what.
I stand by my rich duo.
Get us those Days of Ruin deets, and play through the game again, egg-king. Might be good for getting some new comers familiar with the gem that it is.
AWDS Eagle learned the Fire Emblem art of Canto.
I remember reading somewhere that Dual Strike takes place just a few months after Advance Wars 2, which doesn't make much sense, but yeah.
I think that was the reason some of the COs were missing because they were still cleaning up Sturms armies
The reason Drake is always C rank is because he loves sailing on the C.
The devs were clearly high when they came up with,
Javier's defence buffs from comm towers
The entire concept of tag powers
Colin's normal power
Hatchi
and at the same time doing some unneeded nerfs on sami , max , lash etc.
Dual strike had some weird priorities when it came to balance
Javier is based on Don Quixote, a character who thought windmills were giant monsters, so having him use vaguely windmill-shaped things makes sense, I suppose?
It feels mostly like it's designed with the singleplayer in mind, and with all the mechanics of the game. That unfortunately does mean player v player is going to be horribly balanced.
and candy's CO powers
I think the main reason why Kanbei in DS was nerfed is because in advanced campaign you can pick any CO you unlocked and unlike AW2 most maps start with pre deployed units so you can cheese a lot of them with Kanbei, even at 20% bonus.
You forgot that Sami's theme makes her instantly s-tier
co themes don't count to gameplay, lol
The intro stated it was a few months between the events of 2 and Dual Strike.
My favorite Advance Wars game! Grit, Jess, and Javier are my favorite.
Rachel was Sturm all along. Plot twist xD Also a DOR video would be awesome.
Solid tier list. I've been playing AWDS for a long time and have play tested many COs in custom games. I'm glad that our findings line up very closely.
Can't tell you how much I've been waiting for this.
I think Jess's "pencil" was supposed to be a bullet, or like a tank round. I always used to think it was a pencil too.
Kinda how people used to love Flak when they were beginners because he's big, bad, mean and *can* do big damage sometimes, but then just understood how luck works and started seeing him for the joke he was
9[ppl l I u
The team skull-jake juxtaposition was amazing.
Oh is Jake wearing headphones?! I guess that makes sense. I always assumed it was just hearing protection since his skill was about firepower.
Just started Dual Strike today, and in the beginning it tells you like 6 months have passed or something along those lines.
Nearly of 2 hours of Blangs is all I need to have a good day, the doctor prescribed so
Doutor: Vc tem 1 hora e meia para viver
Eu:
Definitely do the day of ruin tier list. Even just a first impression style list
@@GuybrushTThreepwood as I said, you are not wrong
My favorite part of Mangs talking about Rachel is the evolution of him frequently prefacing that he was not absolutely certain about the targeting priority of her SCOP. And now he's sure of it.
Really like how you explain everything about these games.
Dual strike take place 6 months after advance war 2, the game say this at the beginning of the campaign
Rain has changed in Dual Strike, Drake became the I can''t See man.
So that's why he's in I-can't-C-tier!
Javier: *PREPARE FOR SOME GLORIOUS HINDSPANKING!*
RUSH THE COM TOWERS!
Bruh.
No one:
Blangs: NINE NINE NINE NINE NINE NINE NINE NINE NINE NINE...
Bruh the Max description has a typo, he doesn't have weak indirects, just smaller range.
I read the first two lines of your comment and assumed they went together. Never again.
>Javier: PREPARE FOR SOME GLORIOUS HIND SPANKING!
>Jess: Finally I'm f*cking fixed.
am I supposed to read this the way I just read this
@@thebladeoflight Nah, forgot to add Drake and Eagle.
in a sense his indirects are "weak" because of the reduced range, but I understand they are the same in power
He is surely spaniard, I believe his look is even inspired in Don Quixote with the armor parts.
I think the idea behind Grimm by tag him with other CO. More planing when to hit and when to defence.
@@RadioTails that extra defense is what makes von bot an A tier, compared with Hawke. He is one of the few CO with extra defense in his day to day.
According to Wars Wiki, units no longer give CO Power charge based on their cost. Each unit now has a set value they give.
One nice thing about Jake that wasn't mentioned: his air units also get attack bonuses over plains, and they don't get terrain defense anyway so leaving them over plains is as good as anywhere else. However, they don't get any movement boost from his super power.
he didn't mentioned it with jake, but he did with zak... W H A T
I got an idea for a vid: a Video about your hopes and dreams for a potential new advance wars. I personally would want at least one if not all COs to act on the field like in wargroove.
I don't think we would see hero units like War groove but maybe a system similar to days of ruin where the COs can board a Unit.
Javier is a Don Quijote reference, communication towers are windmills and he wears like a medieval knight.
Hachi, aka, Omega Rugal in every single AW game he ever comes across. That dude was just there to piss you off in Multiplayer.
With the exception of Sturm.
@@ranaashhad8040 And Sturm was removed in Dual Strike, making the only Hachi-counter unavailable. FUCK HACHI IN DUAL STRIKE!!! Even the combination of Sami and Eagle would be gone before they could even pops their Powers against Hachi.
@@zhaoyun255 Javier with 3 or 4 com towers can counter Hachi. Otherwise I agree.
I find the CO mechanics of Days of Ruin to be both a fascinating part of that game, but actually preferable over the entire series.
is it just me or does Candy's theme give of Michael Meyers vibes ?
20:25 that outfit on olaf made me LOL
Koal may be a dorky little Adder wannabe, but I gotta say Forced March and Trail of Woe are pretty metal names for CO Powers!
I do have a switch and plan on getting the games I can
Interestingly, I tested this a few times, but Javier becomes completely invincible if he has the equivalent of 13 com towers (through power or super power, or even just maps with a lot of towers.)
His units become completely invincible to all combat damage, a full hp bomber at maximum power cannot harm an infantry at all.
The most disrespectful nerf was downgrading Sami from a M60 to a M16
It doesn't matter, do a Days of Ruin review!
33:28 with 56000 in funds you kill power meter of eagle and sami in one turn and everyone too 😱 very usefull indeed 😎
Rachel was Sturm all along… "Join me… Join the dark side…" "No, you killed my sister!" "No… I, am your sister"
The only time I like dual strikes is during the campaign, and seeing how fast I can steamroll war room maps.
Also, game takes place "months" after AW2
I just started playing Dual Strike for the first time and there's an opening text that says it's been 3 months since the Macro Land war. If any characters look older it's just because of the new art style.
Well here we are again, it's always such a pleasure.
I'm not really good, but I like to play
Thanks for all the videos you do, you're doing it great.
