I'd definitely buy an audio version of North and South if he were the reader. There was a brief piece on the Armitage Army website (I think) but haven't looked for it in ages. His voice is sublime.
When I can't imagine that I could respect the man more, he proves me wrong. He is a wonderful and articulated person, and I wish him much success in Hollywood so we can enjoy more of him. :D

It is always a deep and true pleasure to be able to hear about one of my most esteemed passions such as literature, reading and books. Listening carefully to the literary tastes of a person can be observed a little more his soul and sensitivity.
Richard, you should teach a literary seminar course at an university for non credit. Limit it to 30 people to keep the exchange flowing for 3 weeks only, but record it for charity if you like.
He called Scientology a cult! 😂😂. I love this man! He’d better watch out for the Illuminati though, because they just gasped in horror. 😱😂😂😂😂! He’s telling it like it is! ❤️
He sounds like a young Sean Bean haha. Or even better - sounds like Sean Bean playing Ned Stark. But it's his natural voice. He can also exaggerate a little bit like he did in The Hobbit series. That folks, is a kings voice lol.
Mina the fiddler. Indeed😉 On a more serious note: all five are ladies, which I did not expect, since I once heard him say Divid Copperfield to be his favourite book, so I was convinced Charles Dickens would be amongst the five🤔
The dinner party invitation list sounds very cool, though he answered with real-life writers and thinkers instead of fictional characters. I can see why the interviewer didn't bother to correct him.
He has one of the best voices anywhere.
And Mathew macfayden
Now i can't avoid hearing Trevor Belmont
Would love to hear him do an audio book of "North and South"
Agreed. I so wish he would do at least another period drama again. BBC mini series. He was so perfect as Thornton.
My all time favorite
Swoon
I would love to hear him do the hobbit in hos thorin voice

He is so handsome in north and south ❣️
His voice... I could listen to him for hours. Great interview and interesting answers, it's a pleasure to know more about mister Armitage.
This guy is an amazing actor, voice over artist, and poetic in word. I would love to hear him read poetry.
Honestly, if there is ever a time where does his Thorin impression I would just sit there looking at him, the man has a voice that sends shivers
You know, he kind of reminds me a little bit of Hugh Jackman. His audio Wolverine is amazing. I would totally support him as Marvel's Wolverine.
He's already been in marvel he was in the first captain America movie
Jaime-Arturo Thank God I'm not the only one lol
yess. finallly someone who understans🙏🙏

Such an amazing person. Great actor. Handsome. Love him.🤗🤗🤗
Great interview. I could listen to him for hours. Loved the Disney question.

I wish I could hear him reading some Italian poetry. Dante Inferno for a start! So fascinating!
Same. As an Italian, I'd love to hear him
"...and the cook and the butler is gonna be Sigmund Freud." A+ man right there

OMG my little girl is so much in love with him she blushes when she sees him.
Oh My love Thorton..!!!!!😍😍😍😍😍
Oh,Thorin! 🤗😍
Love this Guy Truly Wonderful Person!

Hey there Trevor Belmont!!
His voice is lovely 😊
omg what he said about Sir Ian McKellen is so true. His voice stands out
I love him. He is a good and excelent actor. Bye of the Uruguay.
What a gorgeous voice

Augusta Simmons The Illuminati are not real
Every religion is a cult, man, stop talking bullshit

@You stole my burrito, Charlie go fuck yourself with 7 feet rhino horn, religious freak
Agreed! Scientology is a cult, and the Illuminati is real!
I'm not a big fan of books but if it happens that Richard will be reading it to stage, then its another story. He has an interesting way of speaking.
OMG, this guy is perfect!!!
Love richard armitage
Loved him as Harry in vicar of dibley with Dawn French.
And he likes Virginia Woolf? This is too much for perfection for one man
Gorgeous, intelligent, feminist, funny, and that voice! What the hell!!!!

Surprised he hasn't said Elizabeth Gaskell
If they remake Pinocchio I want him as the fox 😂
I know him as Thorin and Guy
Okay, I would date him simply based on which authors he said he’d invite to dinner.
Guy of Gisbourne
I want to come to that dinner. But only if he's there too ;)

The fox from Pinocchio, eh? Bel birbone 😉😘💖💝
Fantastic 💝💝💝
I LOVE The Hobbit
Richard, when will you take big roles this years? I hope to find you in action movie or perhaps like The Hobbit's style. You really are impressive.
God I love Thorin haha
How about Jung or Reich instead of Freud?
Fox 🦊 , big yes !

So he voices Belmont in the Netflix Castlevania series, eh? Dishy.
