That's a great model, Dave. I cannot believe the attention to detail - particularly as the inside of the facilities is not visible once the roof is on but I imagine, and as with racing and life itself, it is all about the journey and not about the destination. Oh, and I would have gone for something like a British Rail freight blue from the 1970s - but that's just me - lol. More generally, I go with the view that less is more when it comes to scenery. My style is more like Marty in terms of making these layouts more like a club track. It's great to have one or two pieces to add a touch of character but, and in my experience, there's nothing more disheartening than coming back to something like this after 6 months and finding it covered in dust.
Fantastic build! Very impressed with the level of detail in these Magnetic Racing kits. And I gotta tell ya Dave, I could listen to you read the phone book all day! 😀
Great inpiration Dave your vids are a pleasure to look at! Mine MR is waiting in the to do list so your ideas are great (aluminium band and tiled floor) Thanks for sharing !
@@steveconnor9871 and a little cheeky 3 min midweek unboxing video at 6pm tonight - people seem to like watching other people take stuff out of boxes :D
Nice looking and easy kit . Just a quick suggestion is 123 blocks if you are going to be building more. There also called machinist's blocks. Super useful.
Cheers dude. Wait til next week for Part 2, I rework the steps, mess about with the lettering on the sign on the roof and add a couple of other things too :)
I've built the le man's style put buildings Dave and the way the kits are they allow you to modify and customise to your hearts content. Well done for another great no faff entertaining video 👍
Looks great Dave I've just built the delux container cafe and also a few of the advertising hoardings, the detail and fit is superb. I'm sure you will be back to get more kits now 👍
Delux container cafe is next, I searched Pinterest for "container cafe" and found what I reckon is the image that inspired Ian and Doug's kit... so I'll be attempting to recreate it. After that I need to build a row of pit lane garages (4 or 5) but I'm going to have to invent a modification to the kit first... watch this space
Cheers Pete, I once again got up and switched my computer on about ten minutes after you finished your live this week again. Have a lay in one week and start later I might catch it :)
