Very thorough and explained perfectly/concisely. Thank you. Being a PVP healer is a thankless job many times but its what helps win those close battles and eventually... the war! :D
Great video! I have a Warden PVP healer and want to make my Templar into one as well. This gives me some great insight into what to try next. Thank you for posting this.
Hey would you have any tips for a battle healer variant? Im trying tk figure out what im doing with the templar i got on, im trying to dedicate one side to healing and the other to damage
I have a recommendation and I'll link it but not for a Heal/DD as I don't think that would work well and I don't want to mislead you. ESO PVP has a trend of half-tank/half-role. This is what's popular and what generally works. So to do DD/Heal you'd have to sacrifice too much survivability (missing the half tank) and the healing and damage would both be bad. So my suggestion is make a full DPS (the PvP DD/Tank way) or stick with pure healing. PvPers are really secretive about their builds cuz they don't want to lose but if you dig you can find some gems. Like Juggy who is an oldschool PvPer and recently put up a plar build: ruclips.net/video/6ZTZSKlnzo4/видео.html Otherwise you kinda have to watch what good players are doing and figure out their builds (for example some friends of mine): www.twitch.tv/yurble www.twitch.tv/presho
I don't, Oakensoul would be Turbo Garbage on a Support (Healer). Supports benefit from the largest toolkit possible and adding oaken soul would remove 5 skills and an ultimate - very detrimental to the support function. And you're only gaining slight ease of use (not bar swapping) as the buffs oaken soul give are obtainable through other means.
Great question! I avoided ice staff as I like being able to heavy attack stamina back on one bar and magicka back on the other bar. You get a bit more tankyness from sword&shield as well even though the ice staff does have similar tankyness in its passives. The shield acts like an extra piece of armor too. I think dual wield would be the better alternative to sword and shield if you were looking for something different with quick cloak for major evasion.
thank you for your clip your templar heal is good but as I play alone in pvp, it is the zerg who are present I need a solid build that I can do 1vX, that I can survive, have very high resistance and a lot of sustain Do you think your build could suit me? what do you think ?
Yes this is exactly the Healer build for that kind of thing. It is selfish for survivability and has excellent sustain. It is my "Main" Healer on xbox, the one I have used the most over the years and will take to any PvP situation: Solo, Small Group, Ball Group, Battleground, Zerging, Faction Stacking even dueling. It also works great as a tank for PvE Random Normal Daily Dungeons (don't forget to throw a taunt on)! Just keep in mind in PvP zones it is not a Tank so if you stand still out in the open field in the middle of an enemy Zerg they will kill you at some point. You will need to kite and play smart like any Healer. Movement is very important for solo play as you lack group buffs that increase your survivability, pay special attention to your footwork when playing solo. You can throw more attributes into health too if you feel you need to.
I tested both and found I was dying less in all reinforced. I don't have a satisfactory explanation for this result either so I'm not sure why I had better results with reinforced. I know really good players who are almost unkillable in 3X Reinforced and the rest Impenetrable. But when I try the same I find I do better with all Reinforced. Maybe players are too tanky these days so their critical damage just isn't there? Maybe something about how I play causes me to avoid players that focus critical damage? Or some other reason? Your guess is as good as mine.
Hi, is it possible to replace the staff with something if there is no dlc murkmire? Or is this staff mandatory? If there is something to replace it, please tell me
Bright-Throat's Boast set pieces including the staff can be bought from a guild trader you don't need access to the DLC. If you can't find any you can ask a guild mate to help you acquire them if they have access. There is even a website you can search for called tamrieltradecentre dot com that tells you what traders have items for sale (at least on PC servers it works). If you meant the alternative Blackrose Restoration Staff you would need to run the Blackrose Prison Arena and would need the DLC. The new scribing skill Healing Soul+major vitality can provide the same effect so you can obtain the buff without the staff now. I think winters is pretty underwhelming as a set these days though so my preference is BTB+Almalexia unless my group needs me to supply a specific buff in which case the setup will depend on what the group leader is looking for.
I don't like it personally. I never felt I needed more damage reduction so auto proc heals from Almalexia that help my group not just me are what I do. More Healer-y. Granted it's been years since I've tested Buffer of Swift in place of Almalexia. I think you could make it work if you wanted to, you would certainly be hard to kill. For me I'd be building more of a Tank at that point though.
The build hasn't really changed although I'm still waiting for a consensus on any META changes with scribing having been recently added. I've been playing around with adding the scribing skill Mender's Bond (with Sage's Remedy - the heal over 5 s effect). So that goes on front bar (Resto Bar). Some of the new ultimate generating scribing skills look like they could be really powerful as well.
@@nosillarva Almalexia's Mercy set has lines of "Adds Armor" in it. Light Armor Bonuses reduce damage from magical attacks and has some footwork related bonuses as well. Light armor ups spell resistance. Reinforced traits. Keep Living Dark up! Since my sustain is really good and I'm a healer I can convert my magicka bar into health on demand. After that it's just footwork like I talk about at 05:02 in the video. Play smart and you live. Practice, practice practice!
There’s no resist cap in pvp. Everything scales mitigation, my healer has 43k spell resist. 33k resist cap doesn’t exist in pvp because of breach and pen
Not exactly. There is resistance cap in PvP just like in PvE but like you say players debuff you below your baseline resistance levels in actual combat. So the cap only applies after it's done calculating the debuffs applied to you more or less. forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/279426/damage-mitigation-explanation-updated-21-03-2021 For my build I used the base 33k cap (without debuffs) as a guide. What happens in actual combat is I get debuffed below the cap but I try to use footwork and cleanses via extended ritual to mitigate this. I want my healer to feel like a healer so I didn't go more into the Tank side of things as some players might. Not saying they're right or wrong its just my personal preference. It definitely can make sense to build higher into resistances as a counter to all the debuffs that will occur as you're doing but its not the only way to manage this threat.
One can scale there penetration higher than the resistance therefore there isn’t a cap. It is called a soft cap because it’s a cap until it isn’t if that makes sense. Until you out penetrate it, it is a cap. Someone with 6k pen will do less damage to an opponent as their resistance scales even if they never even get close to being even in numbers. Hence it being called a cap, a cap to mitigating damage with resist to underpenitrating opponents. If someone has 33k penetration on you and you have 33k resist your armor will be fully penetrated, if you have 43k then they will have penetrated all but 10k armor and the strike will be lower than that of the one upon the opponent with 33k.
@@raideryaga4889 The cap is built into the game. I get that you're saying there can effectively be no cap in PvP; however, I don't see it as technically accurate to say there is no cap. It's there in the code even if you're not reaching it. I should add I don't think your train of thought is wrong. I just have a specific technical way of thinking of this. Also my goal isn't to be at resistance cap for all situations with my healer. My goal is just to get near baseline resistance cap (not-debuffed) and use my gameplay to manage the various debuffs that may occur in actual combat.
