- Here's the 3-way Battery Drain Test of mid-range phones Samsung A7 2018, Honor 8X and Huawei Nova 3i.
In this video, I tested the battery life and drain these devices with the following Apps and Usage:
Spotify Music Streaming (1 Hour with 50% Screen Brightness)
Instagram (1 Hour with 75% Screen Brightness)
RUclips (1 Hour with 85% Screen Brightness)
Camera (30 Minutes with 85% Screen Brightness)
Screen Time (30 Minutes with 85% Screen Brightness)
PUBG Gaming (Remaining to 0% with 75%-85% Screen Brightness)
Sim Card (Yes)
Wi-Fi (On)
Location Services (Off)
Bluetooth (Off)
Power Saving (Off)
Screen Brightness (50%, 75%, 85%)
Sound Volume (50%)

Surprising result! A7 handles the deadly screen brightness very well. And it's a tie for huawei phones. More test like this please. People really care about the battery of the phone.

My A7 got 10Hours screen on time with 8hours of it being RUclips.
Its fast and snappy aswell, im loving it.

@@pixifiedx if you want a better camera you could go with A7, but if you're looking more towards performance, go with the honor 8x

It's the temperature that kills the battery. A7 remains low heat while 8X is high. But 8X lasts longer if set to 50%. Same case with Oppo F9.

Screen display is a big factor A7 got a Super Amoled dispaly which is Power efficient Screen Unlike the other two that has an IPS LCD display that is knowingly more power consuming ✌️

Nova 3i user here, it depends how you use it everyday because you can switch it to Battery Saver mode and Ultra Battery Saver mode it can last to 24 hours lol

This competition not fair.. Of course nova 3i will loose because let check the phone spec.. Honor 8x and nova 3i using same chipset kirin 710 but honor 8x provide 3750mah battery than nova 3i only 3340mah,see which one is bigger??.. samsung a7 only 3300mah but using chipset exynos 7885 that we already know have a big control system than kirin..if honor 8x using exynos chipset i believe the real battery power up to 4000mah..if you want to compare make sure the spec is same so it fair.. if you not believe, how bout you try new mobile dooge with 6800mah compare with honor 8x 3750mah, you will see big different, thank you.

Optimization has little to do with it. Samsung has amoled screen which saved a lot of power during the pitch black "camera" test.

You can't really tell how many hours of the battery survived it's by how what you play or the brightness and other things
I just take a look at the Honor 8X for a week and bought the red edition yesterday. Its so beautiful.
A7 won cuz it has huge frame drop in PUBGm the fps is between 25-27 meanwhile 8x and 3i both 30fps. I'm A7 user btw
Oh ya. I almost forgot about fps drop on A7. This video makes me confuse about the A7 performance in gaming. I checked on another review about A7, its not into midrange gaming phone. Only for camera and amoled lover

The reason why Samsung A7 won even with the smallest capacity:
1. Its Exynos 7885 has 6 power-efficient A53 cores clocked at 1.6GHz while it packs two power A73 cores clocked at 2.2GHz. (So it is efficient while packs a punch.)
2. Its Super AMOLED
3. Optimization
A7 2018 for the win. ARF ARF ARF. Just got mine in the mail a week ago. Love it, a fantastic phone.

If you have a nova 3i like me the minute you lower your brightness your battery lasts for hours on end no matter what you do

Notches well they will ruin your life beacus if you wanna watch a movie the notch covers it up and yes that is a very VERY big deal its good samsung dous not put notches on their phones
I have a A7 gaming great but but not excellent. camera 24 MP front and rear also triple camera fantastic,charging speed is bad, battery life amazing.overall I am happy what I have!
how long do u usually spend for charging a7? i'm considering buying it but it cant fast charge and doesnt use type c 😞
About 2 hours and 25 mins but has a very good battery life

@@perezcyrajoi i have experience with many device brands..samsung have the durability for long term use..their service also good,i can chat with customer service 24/7 if has problem..a7 2018 got a lot of feature for mid range..for that price??u not gonna lose anything,beside usb type c n water n dust proof..the camera maybe have some minor issue for the early software,but after a couple software update it will be fine.

Had mine also last dec. 26.... i'm a heavy data user, using fb only... it is dropping 1 percent every 2 to 3 mins. Is it normal like that bro?

I don't think it's real because i own a honor 8x and my cousin have a7 and his first complaint was the battery draining issue so he recommended me to take a honor 8x and I'm pretty satisfied with this mbl

Nova 3i is the most consistent. There's no big effect wheter you set the brightness high or low.

So, when price is compared Honor 8X is the clear winner and budget king.

Huawei is using kirin 710.. its 12nm processor.but still it drains the battery faster

I just have question why my a7 will heat up so much when i put it on to cellphone holder attached to motorbike? Like my cellphone holder is the one with closed one with zipper on it.
Is the cam open when you put A7 on the holder? Phone cameras gets heated when you open the cam for more than 30mins.

not only that,
a7 has amoled display
which uses much lesser power than normal lcd display..
The screen generates high temp when set to 85%. That's why it drains faster. But 8x can last for atleast 45-50 mins or more if set to 50%.

nova 3i last way longer than that power saving makes it 18 hrs plus youtube and internet scrolling including phone calls best battery life phone i had i swear it last so long. i just got the s21 plus and the nova 3i last way longer

the reason why i dont like samsung anymore cuz of its ROM. It gets really slow or sluggish after a year even reformatting it doesnt do anything. Im using nova 3i right now, battery is not that good but its a decent phone for me.
