    You can hear someone counting down in English and whole crowd counting in Japanese.

      Why do they feel the need to accompany english tourists? It's the americans/english speakers that need to learn Japanese.

      In the Philippines and in Thailand, they count in english in the tourist areas and count in their native language in non touristy areas

    I love Tokyo but they can do much better than this for NYE. The Shibuya Halloween party is AMAZING so I know Tokyo can go hard for NYE.
    Even if NYE in Times Square in NYC isn't the same, it's definitely much more lively before and after the ball drop at least.
