Another 13 is my favorite scent. I wear it everyday., and has become my signature scent. My original favorite was Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille, but when my mom’s illness worsened, Tobacco Vanille became too overpowering for her. I got Le Labo’s Another 13 as a sample, and she loved it. So, I guess I love it, because my mom loved it.
Based on a coworker's recommendation from a month ago, I made a blind purchase of Another 13 without prior knowledge, and it proved to be a worthwhile decision. I spray the fragrance on both elbows and even after showering, and surprisingly, it endures into the next day, and when sprayed on my jacket, it persists for several weeks. Love it.. it is now my everyday fragrance ❤️
I got a sample of this a few months ago. It smelled decent but too oceanic and out place for the cooler months. I think Another 13 needs to sit and mature for it to really open up. I might revisit this when it gets warmer outside.
I agree with you 100%, I’ve been getting into scents like another 13, Dior homme 2020, and Burberry hero EDT (not edp), molecule 01 and I’m really enjoying the subtlety and class. The sweet, oudy, fruity, bombastic scents can get a little much. It’s good to switch it up.

It’s not a scent that people notice from afar, but if they are close to you, they’ll be sniffing your neck. It performs best in warmer weather and really meshes with your skin chemistry.I’ve had this perfume for two years now and I just ran out. I’ll be repurchasing in a bigger bottle 10/10

Beautiful scent that lingers for the entire day! The proejction and performance is really weird too, the perfume plays "hide and seek" with you lol, vanishing and then randomly on the 8th hour it comes forward again :D
Another 14 is the swiss army knives of fragrance, low key my favorite fragrance as I layer with the likes of silver mountain water, imagination and even oud wood!! Compliment monster and is my signature scent

In my eyes this scent is super unique and the appealing aspect is the difference in peoples perception of it Once your nose got used to is it smells different but for people you come across they can not categorise the smell I find it to be a little metallic after the opening but become a lot softer over time - a warm scent overall not necessarily cooling
Another 13 smells kinda like Molecule 01 layered with Molecule 02, but it’s a little stronger. By itself it smells great, but it’s a little too feminine to me. I like layer it with PDM Sedley to make it a little more masculine. (OMG! smells great together too!Smells like a mixture of fresh landry & Irish spring soap)

I think another 13 has a genius to it- but in a way thats kinda stupid. its really just in the subtlety/toned down concentration of the nice pear notes. If you took that same note and actually made it more foreward/concentrated, it would just smell like very typical perfume-y dime a dozen stuff..if im not mistaken the other big element is ambroxan not iso e super (maybe it has that too idk) and that adds a bit of an interesting almost powdery element that obfuscates the pear note a bit. Usually aromachemicals dont get to act like such a dominant competing force in a fragrance with the main note like it does in another 13. Because of the subtlety it can have a unisex appeal and appeal to people who dont necessarily want to smell like theyre wearing a fragrance but just want to smell good. But overall i dont think the pear note is that amazing, it comes off more like a synthetic shampoo-y peach to me- again i think that would be more obvious to other people if the concentration was dialed up and not to subtle, i like the composition of another 13 but wish they would tweak the formula a bit or come out with a flanker or something. I usually love the smell of pear but this is kinda just fine imo
A pear frag i can reccomend that goes under the radar- heaven can wait by frederic malle. Yes, there stuff is overpriced, and im not sure it woukd cater to melissa's affinities. But the pear and ambrette base is beautiful once it develops on skin for me. And theyll send you 3 sample bottles for like 20 bucks off their site

Tobacco? Tobacco fragrances are a for niche crowd. Most folk don't like them. She sold me on the Pear and Musk. That's a great combination.
