"Swimflation" is one of the top buzzwords in the swimming world these days, but just how much has the fastest short course yards meet in the world changed over just 10 years. Let's look at depth, speed, and idk some other stuff as well in this episode of the SwimCloud Cruise.

Important to remember with those 800 FR Relays, those splits were a lot of those guys 3rd 200 of the day, the relay used to fall in same session as the 200 FR. That relay exploded once it was moved to Day 1.

My highschool music department director's name is Dave Nolan. A lot of us swimmers also play instruments and so it didnt take long for him to cross paths with my swim coach; who made sure to draw that connection the first chance he got. Now Dave (orchestra director) tells us all about how he would have gone to the olympics had lochte and phelps not existed, how he was one of the greatest highschool swimmers ever etc.

Hell yes women's edition. Keep the good work up man you are genuinely investing me back into this sport. Im a college junior at Bloomsburg University. PSAC is such a fun D2 conference, should definitely consider attending next years PSACs!! Also would be interested in promoting some Bloom content if you're trying to venture out of the D1 world.

I love diving into swim cloud. Can you please rant about the 50 breast (and to some extent the 50 fly) absolutely breaking most people’s swim cloud scores. If you don’t I will but no one will see it.

Kyle Owen’s went to my high school that i’m currently at, he’s in our hall of fame and his state team uniform is displayed in our brand new gym! Crazy to think he went to my high school
3:14 little fun fact Turk was an NCAA D3 champ in the 50 and 100 free and before Andrew Wilson was seen as one of the best swimmers to ever come out of D3.

Might be regretting this in 2033 but despite it holding up the best I think the 1650 is going to be the craziest drop in the next 10 years. Men’s distance is finally getting that depth and excitement of some of the other events and I think it’s got a lot of room to grow. Might even be thinking about 14:00 going down by then.
I had a high level international distance swimmer recenlty tell me that he thinks he could break 14:00 in the 1650 SCY
