"Kana Yari from Lyari" Written by Imran Saqib The contribution of Karachi, especially Lyari, is unparalleled in the history of Balochi music. Lyari has given a lot of valuable names to the world of music but three of them will continue to shine like bright stars forever. Faiz Baloch, Jaruk Baloch and Sattar Baloch He was the first international level singer of Balochi who performed all over the world. ۔ Jarook's voice was his introduction. He used to mesmerize the soul of the listener by mixing Egyptian in his head. It may be recalled that Jaruk was the only Balochi singer of the sixties and seventies in the twentieth century who was equally popular in East and West Balochistan while Ustad Sattar was an expert in new melodies in Balochi music and introduced Balochi literature in Balochi and Hindi. The melodic combination of the ragas was unparalleled in popularizing the songs. Today's famous Baloch singers are almost his students. Our topic is "Kana Yari az Lyari", so before we get to that, it was necessary to mention these great teachers in order to shed light on what the singers of Lyari do in Balochi music which is not understood by those who do not understand Balochi. The listeners could not help but applaud. In my view, it is a matter of cultural diversity flourishing in Lyari. Apart from speaking almost all dialects of Balochi language, it is also home to a large number of other nations and at the same time Lyari has the honor of being the indigenous culture of the largest city of the country. The range is very wide when the receiving Baloch artist dives into the sea of creation, which is why whenever an "intelligent" artist from Lyari presents his work, he is much loved. With this in mind, we are now talking about the song released by Coke Studio-14 which took Balochi music to the next level of popularity. The feedback of this song on social media has come from all the cities of the country and at the same time there has been a flurry of reactionary videos from India, Turkey and even Europe. Never before has any Balochi song received such acclaim, although Azeem Abida Parveen ji is the mentor of Sufi music. What happened is that Abida G's song also surpassed in popularity because Kana Yari is so enchanting. Seeing all this, I am very proud to see that our three youngsters Kefi Khalil, Eva B and Wahab Bugti have done folk, rap, Combining innovation and melody, he set a new standard in Balochi music. It is especially important to mention here the very talented Kefi Khalil who by singing cover songs gradually became the center of attention of the youth and quietly went on his way and when he got a big opportunity he made a fuss with his music. Kana yari catchy melody flowed in simple words and with great simplicity, charming colors. Golden indelible imprints left in the history of Balochi music.
Everything you wrote is absolute perfect but brother it's Urdu, not Hindi. Unless you're talking about Bollywood where it's usually Hindi, Pakistani music is centered on Urdu. It's not the same as some people claim.
The reason you felt Arabic touch in the music is because it's based on Ballochi music and mostly people forget that Gawadar was once part of Oman. Pakistan bought it in the later 50's from Oman.
@Alexios Never said anything about the Whole Balochistan. I mentioned only Gawadar. Although the Arabic influence on Ballochi people is pretty evident.
This set was design as so many small rooms with musicians sitting inside playing instrument. Gradually one by one singer started opening all the rooms and you will see one complete set 🙂 This was a new experiment in term of showing one complete set in previous coke studio .
I have talked some Tunisian people i sometimes see your reaction video because I feel you will be only Tunisian person who can speak urdu nicely because you guys speak arabic and french languages and I like your smiling face and affection towards Pakistani culture and content I would say you should visit Pakistan once in your life
May I ask, what and how was your first exposure to Urdu/Hindi? I say Hindi because everybody i came across in Saudi Arabia and Middle East popularly called it Hindi because of Bollywood.
hey hana, randomly came across your vid. and was surprised to see you speaking in hindi/urdu being in tunisia. where'd you learn the language? and great job, keep it up! :)
