Mrs Mac...what a classic
Saturday night out wasn't the same if we missed Hey Hey before going out.
@@mickm6309 dead set right! Loved this show, in Perth it was 'do your make up in front of HHIS, and then off to the Red Parrot to dance the night away 😂
You mean Saturday morning before you took off on your bmx to hang out with ya mates? :P
@@trippy123 As a kid yes, Hey Hey was on Saturday morning, so yes after the show I went outside to do kids stuff. Then in '84 it moved to 6.30pm, I was around 20 then and still partying, so it was often watch Hey Hey until around 8.30 and then off to a club or pub.
@@mickm6309 Cartoon Corner! Where it all started.... Ahhh... Good Memories....
@@mickm6309 they dont make shows like this anymore 😪
i used to watch this show religiously
@@davecannabis everybody did
@scificubed oh please forgive me for my horrendous mitsake
They couldnt do this stuff now, too many precious people would get their feelings hurt, by the commentary, thats what made these shows so funny and original.
Yes imagine Red giving an act the Gong and a score of 1, the person receiving it would sue.
Go the 80's fashion.
Get to your safe space
Yep too Americanised now.
@zapkvr yep people like you ruining Australia, Americanised, weak.
Ahhh the good old days 💯
A rare episode, a segment done in Sydney, normally Melbourne.
😅
“Congratulations, you won a new set of teeth” 😂
@@articbay4547 omg John Blackman was so quick with the insults. I forgot how funny they were. I'm laughing out loud 🤣.
John Blackman was gold.
@@articbay4547 🤣🤣🏴🇳🇿
A long lost Australia!
I loved that show watching it with my parents.
I miss watching it too with my parents the good days mate
The Neil Finn dude was quite close.
No he wasn’t Jesus go to spec savers!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@aussiedownunder4186 Some of us aren’t 12 and actually know something about music and remember Neil when he was in a much better band than Crowded House……..called Split Enz. And that guy has a passing resemblance to a late 70s Neil Finn.
This show has everything and I miss these guys and Hey Hey a lot. I used to laugh so loud and really enjoyed it so much. It's a pity such show will not come back on Saturdays anymore. 😢
Great show good old days.
Does anyone know that they were drunk or stoned half the time. The best shows were at night when they were off their heads. I went to the studio when they came to Sydney, it was a riot ,best night out. 😂😂😂
@@louise7552 they were high on life
Madonna look a like looks more like a Kylie Minogue look a like. Neil Finn and Princess Di were spot on.
I thought it was kyle to at first
And a bit of Bette Midler.
Better than the crap on TV these days.
Nonsense
@ yet you are here.
Hey hey hey ❤❤❤❤ ahhh being a teenager 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Best one was Neil Finn
I would have thought Michael Hutchence 11:51
Agree 💯
Times when tv was all improvised and full of laughter.
Now its all depressing and ppl crying over everything.
Hey hey should come back even if its on youtube, because tv would never allow ppl to laugh and make jokes.
Every tv program now is more concerned with getting it's contestants to argue and bicker with each other to satisfy the low level intellect of its viewers
The guy doing the contest is the best, he looks like a dead ringer for Stephen Fry…😅😅😅
They were all like family 😊
That guy at 16.11 looks like Mel Gibson. I think the John Howard was closest to the real person. Mrs Mack was good also
Richie Cunningham was up there too.
I miss these fun days
The good old days a time when i used to watch free to air tv,
She gets it all the time. And twice on Sundays
Well done to them and to the late great Geoff Harvey. As a guess would this had been 1985?
Its in the description
I was a kid when this show was on and remember watching because they got big movie star as live guests. I never got why this show was popular but it probably had something to do with Australians being alcoholics and the time slot lol
21:51 absolute legend right here!
Sometimes when I'm watching tv with mum she complains that everything that's on today is utter crap, although I tend to agree I respond "mum it's not that bad", but then I remember shows like this were on when she was younger and I understand why she feels like that. Such good wholesome lighthearted shows Australia once had
When Tv was normal and worth watching
You can say that again
When I die I want to go peacefully in my sleep, like my father.
Not screaming in terror like his passengers.
MERCY!
John Howard was pretty close!
As Aussie as you can get mate :)
What have I just watched 😂😂😂😂
The Dan Aykroyd one looked way more Richard Gere..
Omg yes!!!! Very very young Richard Gere 😀
Nice pacey segment...
Geoff Harvey looks like a combo of Graham Kennedy and Dick Van Dyke
The one who was supposed to be Dan Aykroyd looked more like Jeff Buckley!
No more laughs foryou !! The stazi.
Almost all of them are looking anywhere but the camera.
Could be because there 3 cameras and they weren't told which one to look at .
Madonna looked more like Pia Zadora
835 RON mael Sparks
Mrs Mac was the best
Before Australia was Americanised, it was great, now look, everyone sounds and acts like Americans. I watched this show as a kid right up into my 20s
Daryl is the nicest guy. Genuinely sincere. I know this personally! Geoff is the very nasty! I also know this personally!
Wow, how old is this when the prize is flying with TAA.
classic australia , classic australians.
There's comedians on it
Classic Auzzie humour
1 Graham hooch 2 Matthew from stars in their eyes
They had HAD to give it the the Missus's. L.D.was pretty good. What would b better would they being themselves?
They were fit and healthy back then.
Mass Steve looks like the guy out of grease.
That bloke at 8:40 looks almost like a carbon copy of Ayrton Senna, in profile angle. Minus the brown hat, of course.
Anyone else see Senna in the top hat.
✨💕💫
Princess Di?
This is more like dress like than look a like
I'm watching channel 2
Daryl Somers was a dropkick
More like a rhymes with punt
NEXT !!!!!!!!!
2:39
Barry Gibb or Ronald McDonald
If you take away the nostalgia goggles, Hey Hey was pretty horrible television. This segment is a disaster.
@@jakehay3074 I like the subtle, laid back humour. If you don’t like it, don’t watch. Simple.
Boy george
Ridiculous
well it was 1985...duh!
@@MsBlueRyans Terrible
Boring!!!!!!!!!!!!!..................
Vietnamese television was so much better... 😂
@@TayWoode go back there and watch it then
@@nowirehangers2815 I don’t watch it, the OP does though, hence my point, almost as boring as watching a video about flowers which is even worse... 😂
I look more like lady di
oh dear!! what an awful show even if it was the 80s lol and is it me or are all aussies a bit special ? lol
