The guy in red shirt used an anti-loop or long pimp rubber as a weak aggressive weapon for his backhand defense,so he quite often tended to use black inverted rubber as an aggressive weapon for his forehead attack.
@@lilgalaxy1902 Could be but I think it's more the wonky strawberry style backhand he means. Obviously that is because you don't have the grip on anti spin and need to flatten out the angle often.

It almost has the same effect not exactly but as a knuckleball pitcher in baseball. People who trained harder so used to seeing a certain velocity movement and spin on the ball so that when things slow down and the lack of spin creates different movement it can be very tricky
@@mrgolftennisviolinunfortunately most players are not "the best players". Particularly young inexperienced players often get so frustrated by this destructive BS that they quit table tennis alltogether. I don't see the greater benefit here. Repelling the young ones is suicidal for the sport.

It seems like the ITTF agrees with me since they changed virtually everything about this sport to make it more attractive, but this giant elephant in the room is untouchable LOL
I play tournament level table tennis and tournament level singles pickleball so I def know what competitive is....and for sure singles pickleball is more tiring than table tennis...funny thing is I had several d1 college level tennis player friends of mine tell me they would destroy me in pickleball or table tennis and I destroy them and toy with them at not even 50% lol. Im a decent tennis player but they get their revenge on me in tennis lol
