  • The Western Sydney Airport Business Park masterplan encourages the co-location of a wide range of business types, promoting a vibrant and active precinct.
The masterplan, intended land uses and road patterns have been carefully designed to drive business growth while providing optimal adaptability and flexibility. Each tenancy can be configured to suit new and varying site requirements, depending on the current and future needs of your business. Alternatively, if your business demands a larger space, tenancies can also be combined to create ‘super-lot’ facilities.
Importantly, the Business Park is planned to open prior to Western Sydney Airport commencing operations, providing your business with the opportunity to firmly establish itself in this key growth area.
The Western Sydney Airport Business Park supports a wide range of permissible uses including Warehouse and Distribution Centre, Light Industry, Food Production and Processing, Freight Transport, Building and Landscape Supplies, Retail Premises, Neighbourhood Shops, Service Station, Food and Drink, Commercial Offices and many others.
In addition, due to its positioning adjacent to the airport runways, the site is not restricted by noise contours from airport use, making it ideal for businesses with 24-hour operations.
The Airport Business Park Station precinct will become a major employment and services hub within the Western Economic Corridor.
The new metro station will become a key interchange for customers working in the precinct, servicing a walkable and high-amenity place with strong public transport connectivity.
    Feature Description
Centre type Business park - commercial and retail precinct
Transport connections Walking and cycling, bus (including a new Rapid Bus network), kiss-and-ride bays, taxi/ride share. Safeguarded for a future interchange with an East-West Rail Link
Proposed station entry New local road
    Station type Open cut
Provision for integrated station and precinct development No
Local government area Liverpool City Council
The Airport Business Park Station will be located south of Elizabeth Drive in the centre of the Western Sydney International airport precinct.

Great shots Colin, as usual. I don't know what the structure is at 6.12. I was driving through there on the same day, and wondered similarly about the the buildings on the other side of Badgery's Creek Road at 8.14 ???
A bit of speculation, but I suggest things are advanced enough to see the first signs of leaving room for a second metro line in from Westmead in a few decades. My evidence is:
    - The underpass at Elizabeth Drive for the metro, at 0.42 and 5.42, clearly has room for more tracks - if the second line is coming in from the NE, it would probably tunnel most of the way, surface at around Mamre Rd and curve in to run parallel to the St Marys metro line not long before it gets to Elizabeth Drive.
    - At 1.16 and 4.05 there appears to be space left for another set of tracks under the eastern side of the bridge at the Airport Business Park - some of the embankment may need to be made into a cutting north of there, but that's hardly an engineering challenge.
    - There is space just east of the Airport station box to build another parallel to it (see at 2.02) - Cross platform exchange isn't needed if both lines lines further south - A second line probably would not be needed until a second runway and several more terminals are sprouting (which might then also need a 'people-mover' connecting the 'sterile' side of the terminals to enable passengers to transfer to flights in other terminals without going out and back in through security).
I considered whether the lines might connect to form a shared 2 track line through the airport area; but I think that is unlikely because (i) of the evidence above, (2) it would limit track capacity, and (3) the current station boxes are just large enough for the 3 to 4 car Siemans Inspiro trains being acquired for the WSI line (taking into account train length, 'hidden' services areas of the station, and in some cases crossover tracks, (based on the construction at other Sydney metro stations) - I suspect the trains in from Westmead, having originated from Hunter Street, would be longer than 3-4 cars, so separate tracks would be an advantage all round. Where each of those lines ultimately goes is anyone's guess (e.g. perhaps one line to Glenfield, one to Macarthur) until what is decided about the Sydney Trains SW Link (currently terminating at Leppington) becomes clear.

I was thinking on similar lines that the Excavation of the metro line on the other side of the new section of Elizabeth drive seems to have enough room for two tracks I suspect in the future it would follow the same route as the m12 motorway eastern section then go under ground just east of mamre road where Elizabeth drive meets than going through to Parramatta which is about 16kms. I think that black box maybe a Communications Relay I've been looking at the plans for the airport stage 1 and stage 2 some of the roads on the airport site doesn't match up to what you see in the video either however I think those plans were done in 2021 so I would expect some changes to take place over time thanks for watching my video cheers col 👍 1:20
