I love Barrett jackson it brings back memories of me and my late brother,we'd watch these auctions drinking beer 🍺 and reminince of the classics we used to have but never the money to restore them so just them and hope someone had the time and money to do them justice ⚖ ✌🙂
My family had almost the same truck red Chevy. It was my first driver. It had been my grandfather’s, and after he died it became the family work truck, beach truck, and my first car. Same color, but that same silver trim on the tailgate was also on the rockers and roof, and it was a 1982, and had the ESC(Electronic Spark Control) emblem on the tailgate, and was a Scottsdale. My brother and I never could figure out if it was a 305 or 350, being before it became routine to decide these things via the VIN using the interwebs. Grandfather had cat removed immediately, retuned to account for the missing cats, and it was a total sleeper of a truck, and got away from us sideways more than once. Shortbed, big fat tires, and those upright front bumper guards gave it the Looney Tunes bull dog stance and look. Bad ass. Loved that truck. It ran great while the floor board rusted away. That Quadrajet made an epic sound on the kick down shift. Epic. When we later dualed it out, it really went from nasty to stupid. Couldn’t keep back tires on it. Beat plenty of 80’s 5.0 Stangs at the drag strip. Drag strip only, of course. 😎😉
@@davidmilledge221not everything can pull big bucks. Still, a 17 year old car that was what, $80-$100k when new, still pulling $20-$30k for a perpetual classic isn’t too bad and good for the collector to gain. Remember that some of these, like almost any Mercedes of note, have probably by this time hit the basement as far as price. So yeah. Lots of them, got old quick. They could have spaced them out a bit, but they are the pros.
That red 1966 Thunderbird with the wrap around back seat was quite uncomfortable. My father had one and I recall that back seat being annoyingly uncomfortable even as a child.
"I used to park it in a three car garage with TWO other cars in it!" So, uh... you had 3 cars in 3 separate parking spaces within the 3 car garage..? 🤣
I understand BJ's dedication to Mr. Staluppi, the auction has made millions and millions off of him, but my God, to say that a 57 Desotto is the pinnacle of styling for that year should warrant a one year boycott from just about every other manufacturer. Lol The Desotto isn't even a close 20th.
That Magnum SRT8 was a STEAL!! You can’t find one even close to that shape for less than original sticker price. Pristine examples are routinely over $45,000. This one was at least pristine, and with its special factory stripe and provenance, easily worth $50,000 plus. And the price will only go up. I have a black 06 RT, Brilliant Black, of course. My daughter bought an 05 RT, Inferno Red in very good shape, no mechanical problems, straight, etc, and after a fender bender State Farm valued it at $8900 and wanted to total it. She bought it 8 months beforehand for $1800. Not too shabby. Even the RTs are climbing in price.
Must be what it took to get the extended hours from the networks. Ukraine, blah, blah, blah. I'm guessing it's the last thing on the minds of the bidders.
The commentary obsessed with low-mileage cars is misplaced as anyone who has restored low mileage car knows. When cars are not driven, the mechanical systems rust, seize and crack, not to mention the squirrels and rodents who make fast work of your wiring and interior. On the cars with higher mileage that are generally driven, mechanical items are replaced when they fail but cosmetics get exposed to more wear. In general, cosmetics are cheaper than mechanicals to bring back.
Totally agree. And don't worry about that one comment. I don't think you need to lay awake worrying or wondering if you're personally responsible for the death of anyone in Ukraine.
the commentary on these Barrett-Jackson videos is truly tremendous. really enjoyable.

Fun to see Tyler Hoover in this video. It was unexpected.

Mercedes CLS: The first 4 door that only fits two passengers.
Inflation does not entertain me. More glee for bids than cars.
Bless up Hoovie

Barrett- Jackson is a Reach Mans Action nothing an average person can't afford.
That’s amazing….I can hear Busta Rhymes on the mic 🎤 …
None better than Mr. Jackson and his founding of Barrett-Jackson. Can’t wait to meet him and His Bride in September.
Meet Craig Jackson and his Wife? Which island nation do you own?
@@captainbart he joined his Barrett’s-Jackson Road Tour. Very funny
love 1957
Sad they go along with the Ukraine narrative. But the cars are great as usual. Thanks!
You do know there is a way to set the bombi up to drive just like a truck in steering etc right?
Love and miss the checker

I got home in 1967. I sold my 1958 Chev convertible for $120. Different times...

No reserve auctions are way better to watch.
Joseph mast is still the best auctioneer I ever heard in my life
theres plenty of other content out there, besides a steady all day stream, of auctioneers......check the weather channel. heather tesh.....
Lincolns are the best
560SEC = timeless. Frankly the 'Pagodas look odd from many angles. Also the Lincoln Coupes got ugly in '74 and onward too the '78 was TRULY pitiful.
Why aren't the full pulls being filmed????
do you have a barrett- jackson in mich just asking my friend

Its called salesmanship. Clearly you made your fortune in the trades, like me.
love to buy any BJ auctions but they never have lifted trucks all old stuff or new sport cars
Because lifted trucks don't maintain value unless it's basically a Chevy square body and those are too nice to do anything with
Why is the lighting so low?
Is this the Famous April Rose - from Chicago ?
I was 99.9%. Joe didn’t qualify to be a president …” but after this interview with Howard, I’m 100% he isn’t qualified to be a president. …!!!!!
That small thing carnt be a Cadilack no way gee wiz , gee future is going backwards , caddy's should be long graceful and sleek
When y'all get rid of that sheet metal and get a carbon fiber body made then those times will come down even more.
66 thunder bird ..needs door handles..car doesn't look wright..😮😮

I swear to God I heard you say this was an electric car auction the first vehicle that I see it's not an electric car I'm going to turn it off

Wow...hoovie on board!!!....hope B.J. has some good writers..or else Tyler will get set to nose dive...he just has noooo personality of his own.
Any reason to be a douche bag?
Alright well he said electric cars but I guess I got to get to leave this video because I see gas powered cars

Have some respect for the poor civilians, children etc dieing there because of people like you who've given up on Ukraine 🇺🇦
Isnt Ukraine full of Nazis?
