I hope everything is going well with you and your electric bike. You're the reason I decided to convert to electric, I have a 02 rm125 rolling frame just have to find the right battery and motor combo. Hope to see updates soon.
For sure man! We need more current! If you want high performance, sometimes you have to get a little dangerous. I might swap out the battery pack eventually for something with higher discharge current. These batteries aren't bad for a daily commuter, but they are limiting.
the only thing lets hope is the customized design bateries ,those with insane shapes that would look better than squares and rectangular batteries...very impresive bro...i hope i can make one someday.
@UCV3ipUIVBltybkf8o3dqoeg I can buy a bunch of parts and put them together. Still not research it is borrowing existing ideas. You should patent it before someone thinks of it: )
Great build. I wondered if you might be able to share a wiring diagram as I would like to convert a motorcycle of mine but am a little unsure on the wiring etc... Would you mind helping me out? Happy to do a shout out video once I build mine too.
They cant help you as every manufacturer has a different wiring diagram, Without enough information about the components you are using nobody can help you. Go over to endless sphere and ask your question there but make sure you have a list of all your components, Also the manufacture surely has a blueprint of the wiring for the components you bought its unheard of to not have them. Hard to believe they didn't come with a wiring diagram. Seriously think about your question it's lacking so much information are you even building anything or seeking attention? If you are serious then be serious with your question and provide the right information.
I have been planning on building a bike very similar to yours and would be interested in the peak vs sustained power, top speed, as well as highway/city ranges. What made you go with the me1302 vs the me1507?
We used a ME-1304 and I believe we targeted that over the 1507 because it is lighter with similar continuous power and higher peak current. Also we got sponsorship help with motor and controller combo so price was a big factor. The top speed with the 70T sprocket is about 65mph, and the top speed with the 52T is about 105mph.
@@joeyvortex Thank you for the info, your videos have been very helpful. I look forward to your next video as I want to learn more about the final result. Stay safe and keep it up!
It's actually further away from the swingarm bolt than where the original engine sprocket was. We wanted to put it as close to the original location as possible, so the motor is actually as far back as it will fit.
You want it as close to the pivot as possible otherwise your chain will loosen and tighten way too much when the rear shock compresses. Forever Computing it's obvious you have never been on any kind of motorcycle. Which makes it so weird that you would offer to advise. Did you not hear they put it in the original location in the video? What makes you think you're more qualified than the engineers a KTM? You're strange, do you always offer advice without knowing a damn thing about how something works?
Man that looks Amazing. I have almost the exact same project that has been consuming life for the past year. Now I'm into the tuning phase, and have no idea how to proceed with adjusting the drive parameters. I hoping you can help with this. You are the only one that I've seen using that Servcon gen 4 size 6 controller, with that motor combo at 72 volts. Although I'm using the Me1302. I think they are pretty similar. Looking forward to he next video. Great work!
Maskara nie dało się jakoś normalnie tych bateri podzielić tylko zrobić takiego garbusa nie zero prąd masz z węgla elektrownie tak samo kopcą jak silniki spalinowe
Any update on this bike? I’ve been waiting and really looking forward to it!

When is part 3 coming out?
Good job bro , but think now they made a smaller batteries shapes ?
Good video and informative, I plan to convert a Yamaha 450 to an electric bike. You have a Texas supporter now
I just bought the liquid cooled me1616 and sevcon4 (size6).
Any suggestions on programming?
+ why not lithium ion cells?
Dope build, you should check out the dude from Australia that built a sweet E-Super moto that's very competitive.
GET RID OF THOSE BATTERIES!!! LIPO BABEY!!!
peter cotto lol you wanna turn ur bike into a death trap

I went lithium ion smaller and higher discharge rates. Less cycle life though

Incredible, this is definitely my next project!
More money than brains on this project

Update ? Thanks
No testing videos?
@Joey: What is the current state? :) Any video?

Sorry dude, I just saw this. I can send you the wiring diagram. The full report with all the drawings and specs is published at the University.

Where is part 3?

What size rear sprocket did you use, looks big?
70T
that front battery box worries me. gotta be a better solution. lack of creativity with that batt placement. besides that...its dope
Apparently this project went the way of Alta and part 3 is not to be. Too bad!
I'd have used the opportunity to reposition the front sprocket. Looks too close to the pivot

@@FarmerFpv Awww - you think I never been on 2 wheels? Keep thinking that sunshine.
