I have a few questions if you don’t mind. Do you use a pump with your challenger? Is the challenger a decent everyday foot? How does the challenger do on uneven surfaces? I am going to trial a challenger in exchange for my Triton. I don’t really like my Triton that much.

Hi Mark, I use a passive vacuum suspension on my challenger, currently using an Ossur Seal in X liner, previously an X5. on the rough ground it performs better than most, because of the general bouncy ness of it. Make sure you pick the right heel wedge for you though. The other thing to be careful of is the back of the spring, it can catch when going downstairs but after some practice, you get used to it.
Providing you are happy with the looks I would say the challenger is one of the best feet out there, it's definitely the best ESR foot I've used. It genuinely puts a spring back in my step when I use it compared to other feet.
I was hoping to release a video on it, but other things always seem to get in the way.

@@electedamputeeuk8208 thanks man! I can’t wait to try it. I have been an amputee for a year now and I’ve been using the Triton. I don’t really like it. It is my first foot though so I don’t really have anything to compare it against. It feels like a wooden foot once you hit a certain speed. My prosthetist says you can technically run in it which I find comical.

@@markkicksass2448 The triton was my first foot as well, I have tried quite a few since, and the challenger is still my favorite. it will take some getting used to though as it is very springy.
      Good luck!

@@electedamputeeuk8208 I just got my challenger and it blows that Triton and Taleo out of the water! There is no comparison. For active guy in his 30s the challenger is freaking amazing compared to the Triton. I will be returning my Triton for this challenger.

what foot did you end up choosing?

Hello Cristian, Unfortunately I don't have the Taleo anymore as it was for a trial only, but given the choice I would use the Taleo as a secondary limb and an Ottobock challenger as a primary. The Taleo would be good for times when I need to wear trousers or boots. This would be my preference based on what I use them for, and you mind find other feet work better for you.
I am aiming to review the challenger next as it is my daily foot, but I haven't had the time just recently.

Which feet a good combination for 3,r80 knee joint sir

Hi Subhash, I am a below knee so may not be the best to comment on feet for above knees but I would recommend something like the Ottobock Triton, or the Ossur Proflex. The Taleo is rather soft so it may not feel like a great fit, but I could be wrong. From speaking to above-knee amputees the most critical part is the knee to a comfortable walking experience. Are you able to get an Ottobock C-Leg or another microprocessor knee?

@@subhashkssubhash5194 Fair enough, I would recommend trialling both the Taleo and triton. I would personally prefer the Taleo, but I don't know if the softness would interfere with the locking mechanism in the knee. What foot do you use at the moment?

@@subhashkssubhash5194 In that case I would recommend the Triton, it's great for learning to walk in. Speak to your prosthetist about it, and work out what the best foot for you would be based on what is available to them.
