At 2:04: I forgot to mention that if you put the phone on its charger, nothing will affect the registration process. If you put the phone on its charger, you won’t have to go into the settings. It will automatically enter registration mode.
Fantastic info. When deregistering a broken phone and replacing it with a newly purchased phone there was a bit of problem I experienced. The comment immediately below was helpful. The alternative path I used was to go to the menu and then down to "initial setting" and then down to "Registration" and then to choose OK on the screen. After that the handset was registered properly. Another suggestion worth mentioning is to remind you that I think the best process for replacing a broken phone with a newly purchased phone is to deregister the broken handset first and then do the registration for the newly purchased handset. In this manner a space might be available for adding an extra phone as the base unit seems to max out for a total of 6 handsets. I found a new handset on Amazon for a lot less than 20.00.
New Panasonic desk phone model TGE110 after registration to an old desk phone base model TGA651, there is a dialing nest but it did not allow switching between the menus from the new phone (model TGE110).
I just purchased a replacement phone for a broken phone. The pup destroyed the phone(KX-TGE270) from my model KX-TGE275S base. The base is similar to the base in your video. The new phone model KX-TGEA20 with a 5sec window came with a simple charging base. I have no initial setup window, but a handset registration window. Nothing I press registers my phone.
trying to register a 2 year old handset from phone set of 5 to new Panasonic set of 4- Have deregistered handset and gone through all the steps on new base and keep getting press locator on base 5 sec and put on charger when it is on new base charger. put on older small charger and says registering then beeps and say no power to base.. Trying to pair TG585SK to TG994SK
What I recommend doing is unplugging power to the base unit. Sometimes, the new handset is trying to readjust to the new base unit and might get stuck. Let me know if this works! If not, you can try another troubleshoot tip!
You'll have to turn on the answering machine using the “Answer on/off” button on the base. You'll hear a confirmation on the base confirming it has been turned on.
I have a handset that will not pair and I remove the batteries. I've disconnected the power source. I've checked compatibility and it's still not pairing. What to do
If you have more than 6 handsets connected to the base, this might be the reason why your handset won't pair. You can check if you have 6 handsets by getting a handset and by clicking intercom. You will be able to see a list of all your handsets.
Doesn't have to be complicated: Just make sure the extra handset (from a different mother) is charged. Then remove it from its charging station (which you have plugged into the same circuit as your existing system) and navigate to "Initial setting...register handset" on this new, different handset. Now, simply press "Locator/ Intercom" on your existing base station for 5 seconds ... and you see it register. Obviously both phones must at least be compatible. And it's easiest to plug the new (extra) handset(s) into their charger(s) next to your existing base station so that you don't go running around with this.
Perhaps it’s a different process for Vetch phones? I don’t own one, so I don’t know the process. But all I know is that you cannot mix phone brands. For example, pairing a Panasonic to an AT&T base.
Most people can follow along. You can also: - pause the video -rewind the video -be greatful for the existence of the video that cost you nothing But if you are dialed into CBC (complain/blame/criticize) nothing will ever make you happy. Then you need Jesus 😂

When you’re trying to register, does your handset say “5 seconds?”
How do you remove an incorrect contact on a plnc1040
Thanks
No problem
Menu #130 then press locator on base and then ok on handset
I am unable to locate my second hand set in house can you recommend possible solution. Thanks
You can click the “locator/intercom” button on the base. It'll ring all your handsets to help you find the missing one. Hope this helps!
What model is it for the new Panasonic
What do you mean? The model of this Panasonic home phone I used in the video?

How do you get the answers machine to answer when no one is home so they can leave a message

Thanks I plan on buying more handsets for my Panasonic kx-tgf370
You’re welcome! Yeah, this function is nice to add more handsets to your current base unit.

No dice :( cannot pair old vtech to At&t base.... :(

Thank you :D
No problem!
I KEEP GETTING BASE UNIT NO POWER WHAT DO I DO?
Is the handset already paired to the new base unit, or is it stuck on an old base unit?
If it's stuck paired to an old base unit, how do you unpair it?
When you say "pound" are you then pressing the "#" button? We call that "Hash" pound looks like this - £ 😀
Yes! Sorry, I know it’s different in other countries.
Far to fast and erratic. Slow down for God's sake. Who the hell can follow this.
