You have created a lovely sanctuary for our smallest neighbours, thank you for sharing it with us!🥰 I love watching the amazing aerobatic displays of dueling hummingbirds, they do the same here, even though I put up two feeders at opposite ends of the porch, only one hummingbird can feed at a time - they spend more time chasing one another from feeder to feeder than eating. I am so impressed by the 'Hummingbird Spot' channel - she has so many feeders very close together and they are always busy with several breeds of hummingbirds eating together, and duels are not as common as with my eastern ruby throats.

Yay - I’ve been hoping you had hummingbirds! We have at least 3 generations that call our yard home. My husband rescued a baby a few years ago and all the descendants visit us every day. And, yes, they definitely let us know when their feeders are empty! ❤❤

🍃Hummingbirds are gorgeous indeed, gosh how wonderful they visit you yearly. I have put my Hummingbird feeder out for three years now and not one visited. I got a few Orioles early spring which was excellent but unfortunately the feeder wasn't designed for them. Enjoy their company 😊🍃

You do such a fine job of holding the camera steady and framing the videos. Very professional. I wonder sometimes, if this messes up the animals, how they would survive if you moved, etc. It always comes down to appreciation. They get treats, you have special relationships and so do we when watching. Bottom line is, their lives are enriched by what you do. There is only good in giving pleasure and relief to the little creatures. Quality of life. Happiness. That last bit is always there in your work. Even through cameras and screens there's the awareness that something really special happens there. I am grateful for the world you let me see into. Best wishes.
More hummingbird vids plz. I have a hummingbird in my yard cause of the flowers and trumpet vine planted they love going there I even put out their feeder. I think we only have one and it's the green one like yours. These are males, females do not have bright colors. If you got more than 1 hummingbird and only 1 feeder and they're fighting, may have to get another feeder.

Perfect, always use clean water and ONLY white cane sugar. Never substitute brown sugar, turbinado sugar, honey or any other sweetener. It will give the hummingbirds a thrush infection which they will not recover from.

I don’t no y, but I usually have tons of hummingbirds every year and I have even asked others from Tennessee and I live in East Tn but I haven’t had 1 hummingbird at all this year. I have feeders everywhere along with other bird feeders separate from my hummingbird feeders so they want get hurt or bullied bc they have a hard enough time fighting off the bees and whoop but again not one hummingbird this year and to live in Tennessee that is so very odd and everyone I’ve seen or discussed this with they have said same thing here in East Tn that they have not seen or had their hummingbirds this year and nobody has a clue to why we haven’t seen them or they didn’t come this year bc I normally have new babies each year and they come back to their feeders and I clean them real good when I no it’s time for them to come and buy a couple new ones each year to get more to come in bc they are so beautiful but I have really missed my lil friends this year bc like the video I could even feed mine and they would even come down and sit on my hand and shoulder etc but other birds are here so I’m trying to find out y they didn’t come this year…
Thankful you don't use the stuff with artificial coloring. I have a suggestion though about the sugar, I believe it would be better for them to use cane sugar. Why not use cane sugar instead of white sugar?
@choochoostory I don't understand how that would be true, because white sugar is the most processed. It very inflammatory to us humans, I would think it would be just as bad if not worse for animals. 🙂

I've not seen them territorial like that. My aunt has 30 that all come and visit at the same time. I've helped her refill the feeders twice a day.

I'm betting it's because it was a cold start to the year and the winter lasted longer even the chipmunks were slower to come out this year.
