We are Florida resident APs and I got the pass with photo pass and my husband and daughter did not. We just make sure to scan my magic band and I linked his in the photo pass part of the app for his ride photos.

  • @MissMyMusicAddiction

    Out-Of-State. Completely worth it.
Yes, you can add PhotoPass to just one AP. Then, you just scan that person's AP card/magicband/phone for photos.
Yes, you should game the system and go more frequently. Just plan around cheap flights/hotels, and go more.
Another benefit: travel days are now half-park days. You arrive in the afternoon. Now, you go to the park that evening. The day you're leaving, you hit a park, early, and fly out, later.

I’m an AP holder for Disneyland Paris and it expires in July. I wasn’t planning on renewing for the moment as frozen land is still 12-18 months away but they just suspended selling new APs as they will be changing their system and you can only renew. I’m torn on what to do now because I’d you renew it obviously renews at expiration date and if I wait until they announce the new pass system and purchase it then, I have only 2 months to activate it. I fear they will be following the same dynamic as the Us parks I currently have the infinity pass which is the top tier. Merch discount is 20% and restaurants is 15%. So quick service for my family (most table service restaurants are not winners for my kids as our food options here are not US level)…is a 4-6€… not groundbreaking. But across 3 or 4 days, 1 or 2 meals adds up per day adds up. And, just 3 days ago,I bought the 31st DLP anniversary pandora charm and my 20% was a 13€ discount. That is a good deal. If you collect the pandora charms, that discount adds up quickly.

DVC members were able to get their annual passes on the 13th. We are DVC members so we just got ours. We went to the park the next day! lol But yes, we only purchased memory maker for my pass only. NOT my husbands, but you can reassign who has memory maker on their annual pass. Does that make sense? You basically go online where it says, "Tickets, passes and Memory Maker" and it has a drop box to assign it to someone else in your party.

  • @lovestodive1879

Like ya'll, I let mine expire thinking I could renew it in a year and then bam, they weren't available. By George, on the 20th I'm getting one, I don't care if I'm going enough during the year or not. I will actually be at WDW on the 20th. I read in some forums people have talked to GS and have been told there is a possibility if you have a current ticket you can bridge it to an AP but you will have to do it in person at GS. I will be there on a 7 day hopper that I will have used 5 days on and I'll be staying at Dolphin. I figure I'll get up and first see if I can do it on line, not holding out hope for that one. Then I'll take my little self over to IG and sit and wait until GS opens and go from there. Even if I have to buy a brand new one and can't bridge it, I'm thinking doing it in person might be easier then trying to wait on the phone or in a virtual que. In the past, when people have asked me if it was worth it, I always say do the math just based on the cost of the tickets, don't factor in discounts. We all know those can come and go, I've actually only used an AP discount for rooms once in about 10 years of having them, I've found the general discount usually is better at the time. I also tend to buy merch from non-Disney owned vendors (masks in Italy I'm looking at you).

We used his pass discount when shopping in the pass, so hopeful we can do that again this year. Funny thing is my cousin and his wife are pass holder because they are DVC member but they couldn't get their kids AP because they stop selling them at the time. So they would a take 1 trip with the kids and 1 trip by themselves to make it worth the cost of the AP.
