@@jaketoddgarrett109 that sounds like a great idea for a channel! I used to metal detect quite a bit for 20 years or so and really enjoyed it!
@@MamlamboFossils so where do you find the fossilized crab can you find them find them in the US I'm from Georgia and that's known from shark teeth I just find it interesting
@@jaketoddgarrett109 you can get them in Washington state from what I understand. I have no idea of the actual site unfortunately
How about that giant one? Any updates? And i want to ask if how do you make profit out of this? Is there some market for this fossils? Just curious
I've done some work on it but still need to do many, many hours of work on it. I don't make a profit 😄 It's just something I enjoy doing.
@@MamlamboFossils i love your dedication man. Salute to you. I'll be waiting for tht giant one.
Pretty awesome.
how can i do this? Is that tool an air chisel? So id need a compressor and air chisel? Let me know guys, Thanks!!
Its called an air scribe, Google the Chicago Pneumatic cp9361
Really enjoyed this vid! Could you give me an advise on what and where to buy an engraver like that? I am looking for something affordable but not wanna waste money on junk. I'd really appreciate your help ;)
Mine is a copy of the Chicago Pneumatic CP9361 made by a company called Suntech. I got mine off eBay for about $120 and it works really well. Haven't seen them on there again though. The original CP9361 with a tungsten stylus is a good place to start.
@@MamlamboFossils thanks a lot ;)
Does the vibration make your hands feel strange after a while?
After a few hours it feels like the vibrating continues even when you stop 😁
Good job.👍
Thanks Ray! 😄
Is there a reason you only ever reveal the top part instead of going all the way around?
Yeah, it takes ages to do the whole crab and it gets very fragile. I also like the look of the rock framing the crab
Do you use an air pen or dremel? cheers
It's called an "air scribe", mine is based on the CP9361. They don't rotate but rather move in and out 13000 per minute 😄
Just fascinating to watch, it's difficult to imagine the eons that little guy has sat in his stony jacket, snug and not knowing the surf was waiting to throw him around, break his hidey-hole and destroy him. Then he is rescued by Mamlambo, and safely revealed to the world! LOL, sorry just had to wax loquacious! Seriously though, when you are finished, is there something you use to stabilize the entire display, or put some kind of finish on it? Beautiful little crab.
I know exactly what you mean! I often times think about what lives the things had that I find. Like this little crab, what did it eat, what other creatures were in the ocean with it 😁 Thanks for watching!
Сколько примерно лет этой штуке?
Very cool to see 👊👊👊
Thanks Nikos 😄
Amazing
Thanks Montana Silver 😄 It's so therapeutic doing it!
Beautiful!
What's the estimated age and value?
I just noticed 3 down votes. How can you dislike this!
It's Miocene and about 12myo 😁
@@glidercoach some people just like fossil crabs to stay hidden 🤔
whats the tool ios that?
It's an air scribe
Why u don't cut all the stone to take out the full crab?
Hi Vivek, the stone gives the crab strength and frames it quite nicely 😁
@@MamlamboFossils okay! Thanks for your reply. But is it possible to take the whole crab out or just a rubbish thought of mine😂😂
Big request: can you prity please do a voice over next time explaining the tools and techniques you use?
Is mal oor wat jy doen, dit verstom my elke keer dat daar regtig 'n krap binne is.
Hi Cecile, I'll give it try next time 😄 Might need to save up for a proper voice over microphone! Dankie, ek's bly jy geniet dit!
The crabs are ssoooo cool!
I love them as well, my little crab family is growing!
Wow. A fricken mazing!!!
Beauty!
More vids like this it is amazing
Thanks Robin! I will keep on filming the preps I do 😄
