The 1916 Leaders Commemoration, Arbour Hill, Dublin, 7th of May 2014

On the 7th of May 2014 members of the Defence Forces gave an accomplished display of drill to honour the executed leaders of the 1916 Rising in Arbour Hill Cemetery, Dublin. Drawn mostly from the 28th Infantry Battalion and the Cadet School, as well as representatives from all Brigades and Services, this showcased the best of Óglaigh na hÉireann. The Ceremony was led by the President, Michael D Higgins, and was attended by relatives of those executed. The President laid a wreath at the site of the graves and a minutes silence was observed.
