    Similar experience only I got zero help. In the early ‘70s I’m in full uniform, wrestling a suspect in the middle of the street during evening rush hour. Commuters are on their way home, driving by & watching us but offering no help. Although the guy was bigger than me (I’m 6’2 & 200 lbs) he was drunk so I was able to get him cuffed eventually.

    Does uncle scotty have any videos or photographs of life working in the LAPD during the day? Cars, gear, LA. We would love to see all the history!

    Yup . We called them “blasters “ in San Jose … very dangerous situation . When on PCP , they have beyond human strength and pain tolerance . Even with fractures and broken bones they’re almost unstoppable😮
