It’s a shame that he took part in toppling Israel’s previous government, which despite what Netanyahu and his cronies claim, was more of a centric right wing government than a left wing government. I don't really have much against Israel unlike plenty of others but it's my impression that Israel is doing relatively well as a nation-state relative to other examples like I don't know, Belgium? Of all the first world countries whose national integrity needs defending Israel is hardly at the top of the list. It seems like it's considered more acceptable to those who run this conference to defend a nation if it isn't one of their own.
