hello! Great video; thanks for sharing! (And yes, I’d been looking at your nails way before you started talking about them, noticing how cute they are! lol) OK, so my question is about painting. What would happen if you painted the wood piece, white for example, before putting the laminate down? And… if that would be okay to do, what type of paint should be used in that case? Thanks!
Thank you. You absolutely can paint the wood first. I've used (white- remember. "Do not use a dark color) Spray paint, about 3 light coats for coverage, or 2-3 thin layers of acrylic paint. I did find that the spray paint worked best. Occasionally, I'd get a few bubbles with the acrylic paint where I went to thick. But if you keep it thin and let it completely dry either can be used. Thank you so much for watching.
Great question, I've only ever used the regular laminating sheets. Not sure about self laminate. I'll have to get some and try it. I'll keep you posted. Thank you for watching.
I have not tried that. However if you draw on sublimation paper or laser copy paper you could. So, draw your image directly to the paper. (If you are writing words you will have to write them backwards.) Then lay it on top of your laminated project and press. I hope that makes sense. Thank you so much for watching!
Thank You for the Idea🤗 Your nails are beautiful,

Is there a certain laminate to use? Can you use self laminate paper?

Will vinyl stick and stay on top of the Infusible layer?
Great question, Yes you can put permanent vinyl on top of this.
When I have a small area that I missed I use the infusible ink markers to color in, just press and it’s fixed. 😊
Great tip! Thank you for watching!!!!!
hi there ...after putting the laminating sheet, can i use infusible ink pens to write on it and sublimate?
I have not tried that. However if you draw on sublimation paper or laser copy paper you could. So, draw your image directly to the paper. Great video. I want to try this to make earrings. Have you had any issue with the laminate peeling off over time?
It has held fast on the wood. Earrings sound fun! Thanks for watching!
Is it parchment paper or butchers paper. Please and thanks.
I use both. In this video I used parchment. However butcher paper can be used as well.
Thank you so much for watching!
Will the laminate stay on the wood permanently or will it peel? Thx!
Great question! So far mine have all held with no peeling. I think the key to that is cutting it close to the edges. Thanks so much for watching!
Have you or anyone tried this on a canvas board?
Yes! And it works beautifully!
If u add permanent vinyl on top, do u need to seal it?
That's a great question. Permanent vinyl does not need to be sealed. Thank you for watching!
It good you show mistakes,we all do
