Very clear video. You might want to add a note about turning the switch off for the engine. Honda also recommends removing the cap on the spark plug so there's no chance the engine can engage.

Thank you, that was very helpful, much better than the sketchy line drawing and vague instructions in the manual that came with the machine.

Took me longer to find my shear pin stash than it did to make the install after watching your video. Thankew!

I put mine in two zip lock baggies and zip tie them to the machine. That way I always have them with me when they break. I double bag the baggies.

@@keithtremblay8803 now you need to make a little shear pin storage enclosure and zap it to your blower.

My Husqvarna shear pins absolutely SUCK! So hard to get to and change during a snowstorm ... This looks so much friendlier!

Locktite on the driver's side auger is also a good idea as the nut tends to spin off even though the nut has a nylon insert. Too bad honda doesn't make a left-handed threaded shear bolt for that side. I check the tightness every so often to keep from loosing shear bolts due the nuts spinning off

good video, but could be better for the viewer if the camera angle showed how the boss assembly looks.

What if neither side is moving? Replace both shear pins?

On our schools Honda where you put the shear pin in and it sets in the cradle to be tightened it doesn't hold the bolt. So when I try and tighten the nut I can't get it very tight. Can the piece the is bad be replaced?

Shouldn't need to be said, but please make sure you shut the blower engine OFF before you do this!
