No, son is the correct answer. Mom, dad, son are immediate family. Aunt isn’t necessarily the same generation as mom and dad, she could be mom or dad’s aunt, therefore being a different generation.

This was a good question, but had bad reasoning for its answer.

I believe it’s the difference between the immediate and extended family, that they were aiming for. Simplest answer, is usually the correct answer. I did have some issues with the later verb questions, so I understand your frustration.
