Pa Elton was a mentor to Benson Idahosa for many years and the relationship was crucial in the early growth and expansion of Idahosa’s ministry. As Benson Idahosa once recalled: Thereafter, Pa Elton and I began to work together when I went to look for him at Ilesa, he adopted me as a son to work with. . . .Then Elton introduced me to many ministries on planet earth.”

Watching this in 2024 after listening to Apostle Arome Osayi talk about PA Elton in his sermon this morning at Remnant Christian Network conference. For lack of better expression, all I can say is Wow! This is truly amazing.

Two great men of God who had tremendous impact on the Nigerian Pentecostal movement, Pa Elton and Benson Idahosa. As a student in Ife in the 80s, I had the privilege to listen to Pa Elton and was later opportuned to attend Bishop Idahosa's church in Benin City. Pa Elton was a piooner and trailblazer who mentored the early generation of Nigerian ministers. Unfortunately, the young generation hardly know his name. Although his reward is with his Maker but I would be delighted to see his name immortalised with some kind of monument.

I remember the first time i heard Bishop Coker preach as a kid, I was like he talks like The Arch🙂. The other person kinda looks like Rev Dr Felix Omobude, I'm not sure. Last year 2022 the Lord told me to visit Ruth Elton their daughter at Ilesha. I can't even begin to describe the respect and love for the Elton's. She is living a simple life.
Wonderful family. Till now I has not recovered from that experience. God is revealing so much about that trip. God bless the Elton's for not peddling the gospel and for keeping to the truth

There's no limit to what a man can accomplish in God - Pa Elton
This is exactly how a spiritual father should act. When asked the question about those he had trained, he directed everything to God. he never claimed Papacy, mentorship, or start dropping names of those that had gone through his tutelage. How I wish modern day fathers take a cue from here. Funny enough, many claim a direct connection with Pa Elton but they don't exhibit this kind of humility. May God help us all.

At that age, what wisdom is this? This can only be by the Holy Spirit. This message was recorded a year before I was born and it sounds as though it was done yesterday. This is prophetic.

Listening to the tune of the interview and Pa Elton response, i can see a subtle divergent perspective between Pa Idahosa and Pa Elton. I think this is where the deviation of the Nigerian church began. Make God have mercy.
You may have read another meaning to this, Papa Idahosa kept asking those questions and almost sounding like he was trying to sell an idea to Pa Elton but the truth is that during that period the questions Papa was asking was causing crises in the church hence why Papa wanted to give Papa Elton to clearly answer those questions. And has a General Overseer, Papa was asking issues that his facing with his Pastors on marriage, finance and their calling’s.
Until recent marrying a Pastor was like a suicidal attempt because it’s like you signed up for poverty.
