Yes I have. I owned it for months and used it without any screen. It is small but I am used to things like Volcas and Pocket Operators so the size didn't bother me. It's a very fair trade-off for how portable it is. Excellent for long plane flights.
Intresting, how to plug some hardware midi controller to it? I thought, that you need to buy some additional module with midi connections!? But had it work properly?
I do indeed. My published artist name is 'Robots Against Children' so search that. Several albums and "beat tapes" etc are on Spotify or really any other streaming platform. Just put out a new pop record in July actually.
@@MattGreerMusic Awesome! Thanks, Matt. Been really inspirational watching your OP-Z tutorials. Your music is great! Been working in DAWs for so long and just recently taking the leap to non-DAW based music production. Steep learning curve but the minimalism of the OP-Z has been liberating. Thanks again.
I like what you said about thinking about grooves in terms of 8 or so bars, rather then just working with one bar and trying to expand from there.
Cool little machine
Inspirational. I’ve focused a lot on DAW stuff lately but this makes me want to bring out my OP-Z again.
It's a great little sketch pad for ideas. Sometimes I start things on the Z and then bounce the ideas into the DAW to finish them up.
Wow, loved your video. Loved the dark techno beat
So glad you liked it. Thanks so much.
That's a great tune you've crafted there!
Very very nice video man 👍🏽
Hello Matt🙋Have you use it without a monitor?😎
So little box, but so mighty. But I don't like it's form-factor,- too tiny for me and my eyes😆✌

@@MattGreerMusic Thank you
Cool & info-laden vid Matt! It'd be nice to see a short vid on some of the things you like to do with levels/panning - tricks like that.
Noted! I had considered doing a follow up to this one using the iPad to just kind of go through and dial in the mix. Thanks for the feedback.
Great stuff. As a newbie, lost on most of that lol.

It uses class compliant USB so you can hook up controllers like an Arturia Keystep to it over USB.
Been really enjoying your videos, Matt. Do you have any tracks on Spotify?

My pleasure. Holler if I can help in any way.
Is it more easy to learn how to use this if I use a iPad? Very cool video. I want one of the op-z things :)
The screen does help. The app is available on both iOS and Android.
Sounds great, but it's just crazy tiny
Great for travel
